Duplicate Contact list in 6303

hi there,
i have update my nokia 6303 software. after the update when i recovered the data from nbu file. there were two such files, i was confused and i restored my contatcs from both the files one by one.
Now my fone is showing each contact twice. i have checked, contact setting is set to Phone memory only. is there any method which can erase the duplicate contacts?

One option would be to delete all the contacts from your phone and then restore the contacts from your backup, but this time import just one set.

I just got a new Nokia 1662 - I copied all my contacts from my sim card to the phone but now all contacts appear twice on the contact list (once from the sim, once from the phone memory). Is there any way to change this so that only the numbers stored on my phone appear in my contact list? I checked the options tab but there does not seem to be an option that would allow me to make this choice. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is no reason to keep them on the SIM if you transferred them to the phone.
If I have helped you with your problem in some way, please take a little time and hit the kudos button in my post. Without your feedback, I don't know if I am being helpful or should just be put out to pasture.

My iPhone contact lists

I was having some problems viewing all my contacts. Part of the problem was that when I clicked on the Contacts icon, I could not find the "All Contacts" option. I updated to the latest OS. Of course, my iPhone crashed and I had to restore to factory defaults. But luckily, I was able to recover all my previous information. Now I can use the "All Contacts" list.
However, I also realized that my personal contacts list is actually split into two:
All On My iPhone
Contacts (my Outlook contact list associated with my work email)
Is there a way to somehow merge both list into a single list? If this is possible, I'm not sure which list is best to maintain and the pros/cons of each option.
I just don't want to have to manually duplicate each contact again to then store it on to the other list.
Not sure how I end up getting two contact list.
Any help would be appreciated.

Well... I checked her itunes settings and no, she does not sync with itunes contacts...
I'm still puzzled as to where do the duplicate contact list comes from
I've always thought that selecting the "contacts" button on the phone app is the same thing as the "Contacts" app (when selected from the main menu) but not on this phone.

Duplicate contacts created after sync

I support a customer with a bb:
He indicates that he sync's his BB with Desktop Manager and today after doing so he see's two duplicate contact lists: default and "desktop". They both contain identical contact information. He wants to get rid of one of them. Which one can he remove and how?

additional note. Customer is now finding that the sync is now trying to pick up everything that has ever been on the calendar as a "all day event" (as opposed to haveing a specific time entered) and add it to the current day.

All devices signed into the same iCloud account will finish up with the same contacts. Of course if prior to joining iCloud two family members each had an entry for Uncle Fred, then you will finish up with two contact cards for Uncle Fred, and so on. If you tidy this up on your computer then the changes will propagate to everyone else.

You can't sort by company, only First or Last name.
To delete a contact, select the contact, press delete.

Click Edit to edit the picture.

I have exactly the same problem on my ipad. It is happening on only some contacts but, as with you, when I delete one of the contacts on the ipad, the second ipad contact and the contact on the imac are also deleted. This is even the case when I have differentiated the two contacts on the ipad and can see the one I have deleted on the ipad is not the same one as is then deleted on the imac.

I get numerous duplicated groups listed in my Contacts. The group names are listed repeatedly in my Contacts on my MacBook Air(2010) as well as my iPad mini and my iPhone 5C. I have been removing, deleting the duplicate groups one-by-one in my MacBook Air. This is tedious and I think the duplication is continuing. I also checked on iCloud and found that the duplications were there also.

Help has arrived to assist you with getting those contacts on both your devices. The Verizon cloud service is definitely a great tool to use and you can also use Apple iCloud as well. When you sign into the Verizon cloud on your iPad does it give an option or message to restore?

You can't do it on the iPhone. You'll have to do it on your computer. Open Address Book. Go to Cards>Look for Duplicates. Delete those from there. You also might want to merge some info too. You can also merge them using the merge option under the Cards menu.

Upon Sync of contacts with iTunes, I see duplicate contacts being created and it is listed as Share contact. I see multiple contacts like this in my "From My PC" and "iCloud"
