Duplicate Creative Cloud icons in Mac OS X menu bar

I have two different Creative Cloud icons showing in the Mac OS X menu bar:
The one on the left shows this:
The one on the right shows this:
I'm assuming the one on the left is more recent. How do I get rid of the one on the left?

I followed that file path, and the "Creative Cloud Connection Uninstaller" is there. However, when I click on it, it says "The original item can't be found" (apparently that is just an alias).
I then downloaded the cleaner tool and opened it up. It gave me these options for what to clean/remove:
I don't know what to choose; I don't want to remove the current version of Creative Cloud; I just want to remove the "Creative Cloud Connection". How do I do that?

My Creative Cloud icon is gone from the menu bar and the CC app will not open. I'm on OS 10.10.3. I've tried reinstalling and also various fixes suggested on this forum but to no avail. Incredibly frustrating to be paying monthly for a product that doesn't work.

How to log in as root
Use these steps in Snow Leopard and later to log in as the root user.
If you are logged in, choose Log Out from the Apple menu.
If you are logging in from a list of usernames with pictures, click Other.
In the Name field, type: root
In the Password field, type the password you defined when setting up the root user account.

the creative cloud icon is gone from the menu bar?  How can I get it back?

Sometimes too many open apps will hide it, but if it closed,
Restart the Creative Cloud app. Look for it in Spotlight.

  • Duplicate Creative Cloud icons in Mac OS X toolbar, how to remove?

Does anyone know how to remove the old Creative Cloud icon from the Mac menubar? Both are there for some reason. The one on the left is a previous design version but if you click update goes to the latest one which is on the right. Couldn't find any solution from Google or searching here.

Follow the instructions below to remove.
I launched Photoshop and chose Help>Updates. This launched the AAM application. Then I clicked Preferences and turned off the option to display updates in the menu bar.
Old updater shows one update, Creative Cloud none

  • Creative Cloud is just circling in my menu bar (10.9.3)

I am trying to download a trial of photoshop, so this is my first install and it just sits and spins.

I did this and it worked on mine.
Clean up cached user login information.
    Close the Creative Cloud application.
    Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
    Delete the opm.db file.
    Launch Creative Cloud.

  • Creative Cloud installs and appears in my menu bar, but will not truly "open".

I'm on OSX 10.9.3 . Creative Cloud downloads, installs, and appears in my menu bar, but will not truly "open". I only see the spinning symbol (the Adobe one, not the Apple beach ball). I never even get a chance to log in and download anything. I've tried on three different Macs with the same result. All three meet the system requirements for CC. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Sorry, it didn't work for me. I closed the application (it hung the first time I tried and I had to restart the Mac to get rid of the window), and deleted the recommended file. When I tried to re-open the app, I got this:
I never got the opportunity to log in, either before or after the attempted fix.
    Thanks,
    A

  • I have downloaded creative cloud but I do not have the creative cloud icon on my computer?

I have a membership to Adobe and have access to all the CC programs through the Icon "Adobe Application Manager". But I do not have a Creative Cloud icon in my applications? I also cannot sync fonts from Typekit as it says "Desktop font sync is not available on this operating system or device". When I click on the "learn more" it says the program only runs on "OS X 10.7 and higher", even though my computer is up to date. I can access all my creative cloud programs,  Photoshop / Illustrator / Indesign etc... Which confuses me as to why it is saying I cannot sync fonts as Typekit/Creative Cloud will not operate on any systerm lower then OS X 10.7..
    Ahg, confused. Help!

your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
A screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too,
