Duplicate emails from aol

Hi,
Every morning when i check my aol emails they each come trough twice. During the day it works fine, somehow it just over works at night!!!
Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, I had a couple of AOL emails duplicated this afternoon for the first time. I THINK the problem was coming into my house, pushing email button and it started looking for emails while connected with edge, then quickly switched to the wifi in my house. There was a fourth email it downloaded when solidly on wifi that was not duplicated. So I think it is a switching problem between edge and wifi. Cure seems to be make sure phone is stabilized on wifi before checking for mail. ralph

Not receiving email from AOL

Hi - About a week ago I stopped receiving email from AOL on my i5s phone. Only thing I can think of is I changed my password on AOL, I tried changing it on my phone too, but I get the following message. "Cannot Get Mail The mail server "imap.aol.com" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settins." I have tried deleting the account on my phone and adding it again, nothing. Have tried changing my password on AOL and on AOL mail account on the settings page, no luck. Any ideas? Help please.

Getting duplicate emails from SharePoint Report Library subscription.

Getting duplicate emails from SharePoint Report Library subscription.
Users are subscribed for each item in Report Library and it is scheduled to send email at 3 PM every day.
But, intermittently users are getting duplicate emails.
Please let me know on how to troubleshoot...

If you have Exchange, you can track the email from there to see if that yields any value. You can also turn up the diagnostic logging in Central Admin -> Monitoring -> Configure diagnostic logging -> SQL Server Reporting Services, and selecting:
Report Server Email Extension
Report Server Schedule
Report Server Subscription
Turn them up to Verbose in the Trace log, then monitor the ULS log when you identify a user who has received duplicate emails.

How to remove duplicate emails from mac mail

i have moved my email message from outlook for mac 2011 and downloaded all the mails form 3 accounts of google app for business.
now my mail box shows 60000 emails and is occupying more then 40GB. 50% of the mails in my mail box must be duplicate. I want to know how to remove the duplicate emails from my account.

Receiving duplicate emails from all last year!

I have been receiving duplicate emails from November 2011 all morning, and they were long since received and deleted. The total will be 14,955, and after five hours, we're only up to June. What's going on, and how can this happen? I can't get my current emails until this is finished!

I'd like to get an answer for this as well.
A couple of days ago, I updated from os 10.4x to os 10.5x. Since then, there have been a handful of e-mails which have been plaguing my system. Roughly 10 times a day, the e-mail will show up as a new e-mail. When I use "mail2web.com" to double check that there are no messages on my server, it shows that they are no longer there. Still, every hour or two, these handful of messages show up again as if they are new, and this has been happening for 2 days now.
Feel free to e-mail me if you have any suggestions. The suggestions already listed didn't work for me.

Some external Users are getting Duplicate Emails from our domain

Some external Users are getting Duplicate Emails from our domain. I have Exchange 2013 and is properly configured. A user reported me that, I sent one email to the other domain's user, and it was delivered twice after 1 or 2 hours. I checked the Message
track log on exchange servers and email was resubmitted and sent from the edge server after 2 hours.
I have no idea why this is happening? can you please help me on this issue.

Maybe some hidden rules cause this, I suggest use MFCMapi tool to double check whether there is any hidden rules exist.

How can I automatically import my emails from AOL?

Until I changed my AOL password last week (it got hacked) all of my email from AOL was automatically transferred to my Gmail account. My son set this up for me but he is overseas now in the military. How can I get Gmail to automatically "import" or harvest my AOL mail as it was doing until I had to change the AOL password?

Have you set up your iCloud email account (under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars)?
If so, have you turned on "Mail" under Settings > iCloud?
Are you certain your Apple ID on your iPad is identical to the one used for your iCloud account elsewhere?

Cannot send Emails from AOL (Mail App) Only Recieve

For some time now i cannot seem to send emails from my AOL on the app (Mac Mail). I can receive ok, but not send. It remains in my outbox then a message appears:
Cannot send message using the server AOL
This operation couldn't be completed (MCMaiErrorDomain error 1030)
I then run the Connection Doctor:
I get a Green light for Incoming mail (AOL IMAP)
I get a Red light for outgoing (AOL SMTP)
The message i get is:
'Trying to log in to this AOL SMTP account failed. Verify that the username and password are correct'
I have tried all the trouble shooting regarding checking the passwords, changing the passwords. Uninstalled and reinstalled. I can log on via the web ok and send and receive . I believe it happened when i updated the computer some time back because my Macbook does the same now as well as this iMac.
In the Outgoing Mail Server SMTP it reads: AOL (Offline)
In the drop down i goto edit server and this is what is showing:
Description Server Name In Use By Account
AOL smtp.aol.com AOL
In the Advanced section i have Port: 587
Box checked for 'SSL'
Box checked for 'Automatically detect and maintain account settings'
Box unchecked for 'Allow insecure authentication'
Any help would be much appreciated as this is becoming extremely frustrating

Returned Email from AOL

Quite a bit of email I send to friends with AOL addresses gets returned to me. The below link is included in the rejection notice I receive from AOL:

seems to blame Mac's email server.
But keep in mind that AOL's explanation is kind of a guess. It's just looking at the mail traffic and deciding, based on some factors programmed into its logic, whether or not a certain message is spam or not. In this case, it thinks for some reason, that the pattern to your emails looks like a server with an open relay.
I run a number of email lists and have sometimes been blacklisted by AOL (they usually blacklist for 24 hours). I have figured out a couple of triggers. One, obviously, is if a certain number of people mark my emails as "spam". People sign up for the emails, then forget they signed up, or can't figure out how to unsubscribe (even though it's right in the email), so they mark it as "spam". It only takes one or two people to mark it as "spam" befor they clamp down.
Second, even once I've gotten my server whitelisted with AOL, I've found that if I send my emails too quickly, AOL will start blocking my server. My lists are in the thousands, and AOL users account for about 10% of the emails. They're spread out fairly evenly across the thousands, so it's not like I send a couple hundred emails to AOL all at once, but if I don't put about a half second to a second between all emails, AOL starts rejecting the emails.
How do I resolve this problem.
A couple of things to try: first, don't put too many AOL addresses in the "CC" fields on an email. That might trigger their filters, especially if there are pictures attached to the email. Try to space them out, too. Don't send more than a couple in a minute.
Finally, like a brody suggested, contact .Mac's support. They're more likely to be able to communicate with AOL and get some results than you. They'll ask for you to do some tests, so set things up with an AOL friend ahead of time if you have to do a lot of emailing of test messages.

Since installing IOS7.1 I have not been able to send any email messages through any of my email accounts from I pad 2 or I phone 4S.. I can still receive emails ok. Has anyone had same problem?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Safari quits when forwarding email from AOL

My wife uses AOL for her email service. Everytime she forwards or send an email, the email is sent but then safari quits unexpectedly and she has to restart safari. Any help her.Also I don't know how to copy or paste the error report here if someone can help me do that please. Thanks.

Have you reset Safari?
Load Safari.
From the Safari contextual menu, select Empty Cache
From the Safari contextual menu, select Reset Safari.
Check all options and click Reset.
When that has completed, quit Safari.
Navigate to HD > Users > Your Account > Library > Preferences:
In that folder, locate and move to the Trash, this file com.apple.Safari.plist, and if present, com.apple.Safari.plist.saved.
Navigate to HD > Users > Your Account > Library > Safari.
In that folder, move to the Trash all items except Bookmarks.plist.
Navigate to HD > Users > Your Account > Library > Caches > Safari.
In that folder, move to the Trash, any items that appear.
Empty the Trash.

Cannot open emails from AOL

I use the standard version of Firefox, but now I am unable to open any of my emails (inbox, sent, spam, etc). If I click on basic version I can access everything. Does anyone know why? I have contacted AOL and have "reset" everything possible.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Cannot send email from AOL account on iPhone

Went through this back in January after the operating sustem upgrade and Tiger's fix solved the problem, but is on longer working. I've also tried entering the information manually rather than through the AOL button on the add accounts page. Help!

I have the same issue - I can receive email on my iPhone, but cannot send messages.   Keep getting error message: (Cannot Send Mail - The user name or password for "SMTP:[email protected]" is incorrect
This issue occurred when I changed my AOL password.   I also updated my password on my iPhone.   After exploring this issue more deeply, it appears that my iPhone did not update my password for outgoing mail (as that are more "dots" in the password field for my outgoing server account, than for the incoming server passward that was just updated.
I am unable to change ANY of the information or settings in any of the outgoing mail server accounts - except only to toggle each account ON or OFF.   All other information is "greyed" out, and unavailable and inaccessible.
I know that if I could just change (or somehow sync) the outgoing password to match the new incoming password.
PLEASE HELP!!
