I've branched this comment off to a new thread since it was originally a reply to a message more than a year and a half old. Please provide more details on your issue: what device are you on, and what are the pixel dimensions of the folios showing up twice?
Edit: The same user posted another thread about this issue, I'm locking this one since the other thread has more useful information in it.

We recently had an app approved in the app store. Upon distributing our first folio, we noticed an error in the content, fixed it and pushed out an update. iPad 1&2 users that previously downloaded the app received a notification that an update to the issue was available. Upon downloading, their library started displaying duplicate versions of the folio. (See attached screenshot). The second version is showing the cover horizontally and appears to be an older version of our issue. This doesn't appear anywhere in our folio producer dashboard. Also, when tapping on the horizontal cover it displays what appears to be outdated content.
Has anyone else experienced this? The only way we've found to fix this is to delete and reinstall the app. However, we can't expect users who've already downloaded the app to know to do this and we don't want them seeing content that is incorrect. It's urgent that we fix this. Any thoughts/suggestions are welcomed!

Can you send the productID of the folio that has this problem? I have a suspicion, but I want to investigate before giving you guidance.

Duplicate folio appears in content viewer

I recently built and released a folio. My Adobe Content Viewer app on iPad now displays two identical issues. How do I get rid of the duplicate?

The idea is: the one with the blue ribbon is your 'work file' which you can edit, update etc. The published folio is 'frozen' and won't reflect changes untill you choose Update from the on-line Folio Producer. On your own account you will always see both versions.

Since I synced my ipad to my iMac I have duplicate photos appearing in the Photo section on my iPad and one can be trashed but the other one can't. How can I get rid of the ones without the trashcan?

Duplicate files appearing in Windows Photo Gallery under Vista Home Basic.

I am suffering a bout of duplications in my Windows Photo Gallery under Vista. I am getting duplicates, triplicates and quadruple versions of the original file.
Despite turning off all Autoplay media types to 'No Action', I get random duplicates when I try to enter update pictures from camera or memory chip through a USB port. There is no 'Enter Updates Only' option, and Microsoft says that this is unnecessary as
duplication is prevented. The duplicates however appear with 'copy' in the file name after the image numbering system. My preference is to view the memory contents via 'Computer' - select and open the port, and view, then copy and paste into Photo
Gallery. Photo Gallery kicks in to view the chip correctly, but often/always (?) promptly uploads uncommanded. It did not used to do this, only in the last year or two.
What do I do, it is driving me crazy ?

As I know, for Duplicate issue, it might be caused by a corrupted database, please try to rebuild it as a test.

First show hidden files.Navigate to C:\Users\Usename\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo GalleryRename “Pictures.pd” to “Pictures.pd.old” (without quotes) and reopen Windows Photo Gallery.

It's probably going to be a capitalisation error. In other words, one or more tracks on the album has a lower case letter at the beginning of the album name while all the others have a capital letter. They can be difficult to spot.
In iTunes, examine one of your duplicated albums carefully. You should be looking for a slight difference between the album title name. Look at the screenshot below, can you see the error in the album title?
It is there...
The title track (Left Of The Middle). Look at the capitalisation of the album name.
Once you find you error in your album, re-type it (or copy-and-paste from one track to all the tracks) and then SYnc your iPod to iTunes. Does that cure it? If nto, let us know.

Hi, i have an iPod touch 5g with IOS 7.1.2. .My iPod was synced to a previous laptop with my songs and i got a new laptop with the copied songs, i put them on iTunes 11 and synced it to my iPod and duplicates appeared in the music app on most of the songs. Well, you could trade it in for a white one!
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

PDF folio suppurt on Android

Can anyone predict when there will be PDF folio support for Android viewers?
PDF folios are really much smaller than jpg ones.

Problem solved by uninstalling and re-installing the Android App. Only showing single version of each magazine now.

I couldn't import ics invitation received by email (in Mail). When I clicked on the ics invitation iCal was opening buy the ics invitation didn't appear.
Reading a few post I realized I could drag the ics invitation from from to iCal and then the invitation appeared into the "Waiting to confirm box" - on the right of the calendar button. By default is tried to sync using the "on my mac" account.
ANSWER:
I wasn't using this account, so I DELETED all my "on my mac" calendars and iCloud calendar is now my default. From now on all my ics invitation are imported into iCal AND they sync flawlessly to my other device (iPhone 5 and iPad 4) and to people sharing this calendar.

Video not appearing in Android folio

Hi all,
Strange problem with a web overlay and streaming vid in an Android folio. Here's the story;
Ive placed a web content overlay on a page by itself. When viewed in the Android viewer, the audio track of the video plays, but no video appears.
I can view the video successfully in the tablet's (Xoom) browser. I don't know what the encoding specs are for the video, but it works perfectly on the iPad version of the folio. It also displays properly in the Content Viewer on my laptop.
Mind you, this isnt an inline audio & video -- this is streaming, using a web content overlay. So the "fullscreen" setting work around doesnt apply that i know.

Confirmed. Avoid web overlay with streaming video for the time being.
Ha. Did more digging around and hit this little nugget. So does this mean what Im trying to do isnt supported? Can a Bob please confirm?
Features not supported in Android Viewer
Some of the features that work in the iPad Viewer are not supported in the Android Viewer.
Panorama overlays, inline videos, right-edge binding, and pan & zoom PDF articles are not supported.
Web Content overlays and HTML articles are not fully supported.

HT2905 The function to show music duplicates doesnt appear on my ITUNES version 11.0.2.26

I have many music files duplicates and I want to delete these files to organize correctly my library. The ITunes Help tells about a function that doesnt appear in my version, which is "File>Display Exact Duplicates".
And, further more, are there other options to do that? For instance, may I reload an entire library, and configure Itunes to use only that new one library?

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Note with iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show all your purchases with cloud icons that allow them to be streamed or downloaded from Apple's servers.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
If, for some inexplicable reason, the media has been removed from your computer see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Duplicate period appearing in German when creating new Org Unit in PPOME

Hi Guys,
My users are encountering a problem when they create an Org. Unit/Position in PPOME.
Whenever a new Org. Unit is being created (lets assume with the validity date of 01.11.2006), an earlier period would automatically be created, thus making the object having 2 periods.
Upon clicking on the "Select Period" icon for the object in the Detail area of the screen, 2 lines of periods are being displayed.
When i view the second period, i would see the correct details of the Org. Unit that was keyed in by the user.
However, when i view the first period, the details are all on German language (this record was not created by the user at all).
Therefore, i checked the tables T528B and T528T, i found duplicate records for certain Object IDs. It seems the Org Unit that was created by the user is being appended after the Org Unit that is in German.
Any ideas on how to clean up those lines of data that is appearing in German and prevent such an occurance from happening in future?

I'm compared the configuration in Development again Production and they are the same.
However, the problem i described in this thread is not appearing in Development. It is just happening in Production.
Any other ideas?
It's not really affecting my client's business process but i would like to know what is causing it out of curiousity

Duplicate messages appear in Inbox

I've read all that I can find from other similar problems, but I've found none that describes my problem and none that identifies a (safe) solution.
This morning, on two independent computers (iMac G5 OSX 10.5.5 & MacBook 3.1 OSX 10.5.4) I received duplicate emails for every email in my Inbox for the preceding month, but not for today! That meant that my Inbox (on both computers) appeared to have over 1,000 unread emails.
There are no such duplicates on the server (bellsouth.net).
I've read about a Script that someone generously offered to "delete duplicate emails" but it apparently can cause more problems than it solves.
How did this happen?
How do I avoid it in the future?
How do I remove the duplicates on both computers?

Although I still do not know why the duplicates appeared or how to avoid it in the future, I found a fairly simple method to remove the duplicate emails FOR MY CASE. This may not work for others with similar, but different related problems.
Anyway, it appears that the "new" duplicate emails were assigned a new "number" and they are sequential. In menu select "View" then "Columns" then Number.
Then click on the "#" column to arrange the messages in order of their "Number."
Then find the range of numbers that encompass the offending and duplicate email messages. (My situation showed over 1,000 sequential messages).
Select one extreme end of the range (highlight it in the upper window). Scroll to the other end of the range of offending messages, hold down the "Shift" key to highlight all messages between the two extremes.
Then click on the "Delete" button.
Voila. It's like excising a tumor with good, clean margins.
In my case (and I hope yours), all of the duplicate messages are gone.

You can't.
Even if the subscription app only has one folio in it, you have to
create it that way for Android. This requires a pro or enterprise
account and you'll have to pay for the downloads.
