Duplicate help menu options?

Hey guys, I just wondered if any of you saw duplicate "Help" menu options for some programs. I have this issue with iWork, iWeb, and several other non-Apple programs. Usually the second Help option has a choice to bring up the program's help documentation, but when you click that option, it doesn't work. Does anyone know how to remove the extraneous menus? Thanks!

Have you tried the procedures outlined in Troubleshooting Help Viewer by Dr. Smoke?
Additionally, OnyX has a Reset Help function:"Mac OS Help: This command restore library of the application and deletes certain files that might cause problems when you want to show the Mac OS Help. To find again the Help of an application in the Mac OS Help Library, you must relaunch the Help, at least one time, from this application."

Help menu options change all the time - repair install always shows

After installing Acrobat X, I noticed the Help menu options change all the time. The repair install option is always present and sometimes the deactivate option is present but grreyed-out, somtimes it is enabled and most of the time it doesn't even show up. I have the full version purchased from a major online retailer.

I should add the following: The Sound control panel will not even let me click on the "Show volume in Menu Bar" check box.
I just now installed the latest Brother control panel (Leopard compatible) and it DOES appear in the menu bar.

Help menu in Swing

Hi all,
can anyone tell me how to create an Help menu in Swing??
i mean, like the Help menu options that you can see in Windows.
I mean, again, by clicking on the Help option, you should see Contents etc..
is it possible to do it in Swing? if so, how?

There's no class called "HelpMenu" or anything like that, you'd have to create your own using tabbed panes and JTrees.

Help menu / Adobe CS

Has anyone had issues accessing the help menu options in Adobe Photoshop CS with Leopard? When I access the help menu, all options are greyed out and the only active option is to type in Leopard's new help search. Of course it doesn't search Adobe's help files, but it searches menu items in Photoshop. Is there any way to activate help menu options other than this pesky menu search in Leopard? Anyone have a similar issue?

How to enter the purchased license if the "Activate" option does not appear in the Help Menu?

My lightroom test period expired so I acquired the license. I purchased it and got a Serial number. but I do not find the way to activate my serial number. It suppose that in the Help Menu there should be a "Ativate" option but it is not. (It is not even as a "locked option" I mean.. it is not at all)

If you are on Version 11.0.1 rather than 11 Apple put it back in
View > Show Duplicates
Option + View > Show Exact Duplicates
so if you are on 11 upgrade to 11.0.1 and you will have it

Urgent SAP Help menu not showing option "Create Support Message"

Hi all,
We are running SAP 4.6c landscape (dev,qa,prd), and have solution manager installed .
Now when i want to create a support messge from any system in my landscape i dont get the option "Create Support Message" in the SAP Help menu, and we create a support message using Help->Feedback option . Is this the correct was or is there any other settings or notes i need to make/apply on my landscape to get this option.

Thanks for your answers... But is it possible to call transaction NOTIF_CREATE from an external system?
I have done something already so that those 3 fields will be automatically populated for a message sent from an external system.
I changed the screen and called FM BAPI_NOTIFICATION_CREATE(a remote enabled FM which is the one being used by transaction NOTIF_CREATE to create a message) inside FM BCOS_SEND_MSG.
I populated the category, subject and solution in the FM export parameters as well as the solution number in the sap data table. I put a destination also..
This FM calls another FM DNO_OW_CREATE_NOTIFICATION which is the one being used from the external system but do not cater the functionality to send the 3 fields that we need.
As you will notice, there are lots of standard objects that I've changed. =)
My problem now is that the system data sent is the same with the system data if you create the message using NOTIF_CREATE. Some system that were sent when a message is sent from an external system is missing but at least the sap system and client ID is sent. There is no external reference number also. But hopefullly, the users will accept it. Can't find any other solution to this.

Can't update Firefox from version3.0.10. Firefox option is NA under automatic update. Check for updates is NA under Help menu. How can I update?

On my Windows Vista 64 bit laptop, I have Firefox version 3.0.10.
I want to update to the most current version but all update options are grayed out.
On the automatic update screen under Advanced Options tab, the word FIREFOX is grayed out, so I can't select it.
Under the HELP Menu, the CHECK FOR UPDATES is also grayed out.
Somehow, something has happened along the way & now my Firefox can not/will not update itself.
I do NOT share this computer with anyone & I am the Administrator.
How can I get it fixed so it will automatically update Firefox again?
And how do I find out what the latest version # of Firefox is?

If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 6.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version.
* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

How to Disable\Remove Registration option under Help menu in Lightroom 5.3

Hi,
Could someone kindly guide as to how can we remove\Disable the Lightroom Registration option under help menu for Adobe lightroom 5.3?
I intend to deploy the application for enterprise users and do not wish that the users should be able to see the Serial number or try registering the product on thier own.
I know this can be done for Adobe CS6 and CS5 using the AAMEE tool which again does not work for Lightroom.
Is there any tool from Adobe or any registry key/File to suppress this option.

Currently, there isn't a way to do this. But this has reacently become a common feature request and we are working to get it added.

No deactivate option under help menu

I'm trying to deactivate my CS3 for Mac (to install on other machine) but neither PS, nor AI, nor ID have an option to Deactivate under the Help menu. Running OS 10.5.7 with latest updates. Any ideas? Image file showing my Help menu under PS CS3 is attached as .png.

multiple seat licenses do not have activation/deactivation.

Safari's "Report Bugs to Apple" option in the Help menu

On submitting a bug report (via the "Report Bugs to Apple" option in the Help menu), I get a generic Windows XP message saying "Safari Web Browser has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." after which Safari closes itself down.
