Duplicate information using DTA tool

I've seen some posts regarding this...but not sure if there is any resolution.
I use the DTA to sync up my outlook 2003 contacts with my Pre.
As I continuously update my oulook contacts and sync up to the Pre (using DTA), it keeps duplicate information such as email, phone numbers and addresses. it's very annoying and i can't seem to clean it out, unless i manually delete the new profiles that it seems to create.
is there any way to correct this, while using just the DTA?

Sure, go into backup and turn it off. It will ask you to turn off and remove backup from server. Say yes and remove backup. Then wait about 5 min. Then do a partial erase on the device. Sign back into your Palm Profile. Use the DTA Tool to bring all the data back.
Word of warning. If you remove the data and you bought applications from the app catalog. It will remove the applications as well, making it so you will have to buy them again.

Sorry, I am new to the type of problem-solution process and I do not know how to edit my first statement. My true statement is below:
My pdf freezes when I click on COMMENT. I am trying to get at the tools to edit a pdf. If I use the tools from the toolbar, there is no issue, but once I click COMMENT, the document freezes and I have to open Task Manager to crash it. This started in the last seven days (3.31.15).

I answered your questions below, BUT while I was searching for properties, I found the REPAIR ACROBAT INSTALLATION feature, did the repair and (Voila!) the issue was resolved!

I am using Acrobat XI Pro, version 11.0.10.32.
I did not create the file I was working in during the freezes, so I tried a PDF that I created with Adobe and it also freezes when I click on COMMENT. I did discover that the COMMENTS plug-in is loaded. (see image
I have used COMMENT for years without this issue occurring. It started in the last 2 weeks.
I could not find Properties under the file menu, but found a security setting in Preferences under the Edit menu. It did not have a way to allow/disallow COMMENT.

Hello. I got a problem with InDesign CC redrawing the screen too slow while using Zoom tool. Sometimes it takes more than a secong to zoom in or out. However InDesign CS6, Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC works just fine. What could be the problem, videocard or something else? Yes it’s a bug. The trick is to select the tool and then left click the photo information strip and hold for a few seconds until you see the windows bar at the top of the screen (not responding)
The lasso tool should then work normally.

How to create ADD-ON using AAK tool

We have ECC (ECC6 EHP4 SP03 ) system in our landscape having AAK tool (AOFTOOLS 400_700 SP00). Presently we have developed a package and need to create an ADD-ON using AAk Tool. Can you please Guide us how to create ADD-on.

I don't know if you are still looking for the answer if yes then below is the location to get documentation for AAK tool.
1. Go through SAP Note 921103 , this note has all the info for installation of add-on.
2. This document is useful to understand the concept although is looks like taken fro standard SAP documentation video.
3. SAP provide few SIM file which display steps in a video. i don't know if you got it or not i have them in case you need i can send it to you.
I hope this is enough information for you to create Add-on.

Dear Ashish,
BRBACKUP / BRARCHIVE calls the operating system command to copy the files.
Simple approach to get the commands is as follows.
1. Set the BR_TRACE (as given in the SAP note 29321) and run the command for which you need to know the OS / SQL commands.
2. This will generate the log file with the trace information. This trace has the information of the commands used by the job you have run.

Capacity leveling log showing duplicate information for Resource

Friends,
Need one help.
When I am looking into the Capacity leveling logs, I see duplicate information for every Resource. There is no difference in the information regarding resource utilization (before/after). For every resource we are getting this duplicate records in the logs. Sometime there is one difference on timing, (when the resource was processed by the background job.)

There is no difference in details resource utilization, yet resource are shown two times, for every resource.
We are on SCM 7.0 . Is this standard? if so, then why?

Hi Satyajit,
This can happen because of resource setting in APO.
You need to check the following:
Bucket definition
Resource utilization
Time Zone
You should check also the "Time-Cont Capacity" tab details where start, end and break time is maintained,
You should also verify the "External Capacity" Tab data
There is no other reason apart from that.
You can also check the PPMs which are using this resource and some setting in PPM modes and other operation data.
If it is okay then possibility you need to check the model and version assignments.
You can remove the version assignment and delete the resource and again CIF it to APO.
Possibly it will help.

Using Extract tool

I read in some website of using the extract tool in photoshop. But when i finally worked on it, it made be to think using pen tool was better way of making a clean cut out and changing the background.
But i still think the extract option in photoshop has some thing more. I really what to master it.
We use lot of cutouts for our feature pages. Say we need a neat cutout of a blond with hair scattered and the cutout should come clean even along the hair lines.
When i used the extract tool along the hair line, it did gave some result, but when repeated with pen tool result was some what similar.
I use photoshop 7 and OS windows xp.
Can anyone help me with this

There are a few. I have used Knockout 2 (used to be made by Corel) with good results. Learning curve is a bit steep.
Aside from that, if you have a single color or very simple background you can find the channel with the best contrast, duplicate it and manipulate Levels or whatever to get a good selection only of the hair and go from there.

Using selection tool to Cut image into pieces...

Hi all,
I was just experimenting with my Painter image editing software in my computer, and I just thought about an effect that I performed in my Painter software.
Actually, what I did is best show in images attached here. Please use them as a guide to my questions.
In Painter, I used the selection tool to seperate parts of my image as seen in my attached image. I just wonder whether one can do the same thing in after effects too.

Like Steve said, you'll have to use masks. To keep it clean and predictable, draw all your masks as needed, then duplicate the layer (Ctrl+D). then delete the masks on a given layer that you don't need. What is to become the background with "holes" also will need the mask modes to be set from the default Add to Subtract. Once you have everything, you may wish to use the pan behind tool (Y) to move the layer anchor points into the centers of the masked shapes, so animation becomes a bit more predictable.

In order to take a picture of your PDF document, you might have selected "Edit > Take a Snapshot"
Then, click anywhere on the page and drag a rectangle around the entire content displayed (including both text and images) showing a dialog box:
Once you click OK, your selection gets automatically copied on the clipboard when you release the mouse button.
You can then paste it into another application (say MS Paint) or any other target document.

Photoshop CS4 "Program Error" when using Text tool

Hello. I was having problems with Photoshop displaying a "Program Error" every so often, so I deleted the preference file and all seemed good. But after deleting the preference file for my Photoshop CS4 and re-launching Photoshop, the text tool causes Photoshop to display a Program Error when using the tool. It never did this before. Should I reinstall Photoshop? I am using a Powermac G5 running 10.5.8. I have already tried repairing the disk permissions.

Thats kinda what I thought too, but the problem started happening randomly. It started when we were trying to use photomerge with large photos. The program just started giving the program errors. I still think it may be a font problem, but without going through my 2000+ fonts and disabling them one by one, how can I resolve this issue?
