Duplicate IPs while using NAT and HSRP

When using two routers in the same HSRP group and the same static NAT table on each, I run into Duplicate IP address messages detected on the interface where the routers are communicating to each other for redundancy.
HSRP is working properly because when I do a show standby one router is active and one is standby.
Any ideas on how to eliminate this problem?

What you need is a feature called Stateful Fail-over of Network Address Translation or SNAT. This feature enables transparent failover of NAT sessions to the standby HSRP router if the primary HSRP device goes down.

The strange thing compared to your output is that I get an error when I have table prefix in the query block:

Your VGA is definitely corrupted and it is irreparable, so just make the HP to change your vga.
Also next time read my post on how to keep your laptop cool to avoid same issues again.
I assume your laptop was pretty hot during some time and that's the result you've got.

Load balancing weirdness using NAT and same-metric route

Hi.
I'm trying to set up a double-WAN load-balancing scenario:
I decided to attempt the "multiple same-metric routes with NAT" approach so I went for the example used in the IOS NAT Load-Balancing for Two ISP Connections Configuration Guide [1].
I decided to use an upside-down Cisco 871-SEC/K9: use Vlan1 and Vlan2 for the routers and Fa4 for the LAN. I am hoping this is not an issue.
There is this weirdness with some connections, particularly FTP. I pinpointed the problem to the following scenario: if I do a couple of pings to 100.1.1.1 using the FastEthernet4 as the source address, this is what I get in the logs:

In the section "Ping 2 Echo Request" line 2 shows the NAT translating the packet to the address for the first provider but line 3 shows it routing it through the second one.
In this case, the ICMP packet goes through but it is problematic if the ISP restricts the service by source-address (like RPF) or there is some acceleration mechanism inside the provider cloud, other than just plain routing.
What am I missing? Here is the relevant part of the configuration. I deliberately disabled CEF to be able to debug the messages, but I *think* this may be altering the actual router behavior. This router does not have a "debug ip cef packet" command.

Hello.
This might be a bug in debug command or the IOS (without ip cef) you use; as routing is done before NAT (inside to outside).
To make sure it works fine with ip cef, just enable strict uRPF (or just ACL) on .1 and .33 interfaces and see if you see any packet sent over wrong interface.
PS: please check "sh ip cef 100.1.1.1"; I guess ip cef would tell you "per-destination sharing".

How can I erase images from the clipboard while using ink and slide or sketches and lines apps?

I've been having trouble with my clipboard while using my adobe ink. Is there any way I can erase the images saved on the clipboard, because have been trying and I can't find a way to do it, it seems like the only option is by turning the selection into favorites and then a trashcan icon appears, but even if I choose delete it will only be erased from the clipboard favorites while remaining on the clipboard.
I've thought erasing the sketches App, or deleting the project but I don't want to risk losing my work.

Mac Mini 2011 crashing often while using Chrome and Firefox

I have a Mac Mini 2011. OS is Yosemite 10.10. Processor 2.3 Ghz Intel Core i5. 8GM RAM 1333 MHz DDR3. It crashes often especially while using Firefox or Chrome. Basically it just hangs showing the beach ball. Then we have to turn it off and on.
How should I debug the problem?
Note: Although recently I upgraded RAM from 4 to 8 GB, the crashes were happening before that activity.

When it next crashes note the time. Then reboot and open the Console app (in Utilities folder). Look for suspicious log entries at the time of the problem and post them here

HP Prime crashes while using CAS and loses stored variables

As the title suggests I'm experiencing some problems while using CAS whit my new Prime (it arrived 3 days ago). While doing operations like scrolling up the screen and copying/pasting things, or simply defining new variables it happens that the prime crashes (sometimes it also restart itself) and loses all the variables I've stored.
The prime is running the latest FW (6030). I've also noticed that after the firmware upgrade the DataStreamer icon in the app library has became grey and an exclamation mark appears when I try to start it.
Any help or suggestion would be great.

I have only a little experience with Primes RPN.
It does seem that for user variable, you do need to first create them before storing anything to them. a ENTER OK creates user variable a and puts a 0 on stack 1:
123 ENTER, 'a' ENTER, Shift Sto> or 123_'a'_Shift Sto> ( _ = space key) store 123 in a and put 123 on stack 1:

High CPU load on msfc sup720 while using nat pool

On our 6509-E+switchblades with sup720/pfc3 and CSM module we noticed a considerable cpu load like:

CPU utilization for five seconds: 85%/81%; one minute: 82%; five minutes: 41%
after some research i'm able to reproduce it, and basically its:
when sending traffic through the vlans defined on the msfc with nat inside and nat outside it's reproducable.
when unconfiguring NAT the cpu load drops (in lab) to 0%/0%.
we're using nat pools just to fix a internal application/service on 1 IP.
it's configured like:
ip nat pool DMZ-193 1.1.1.1 1.1.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.224
ip nat inside source list DMZ-193 pool DMZ-193 overload
ip access-list extended DMZ-193

where the 1.1.1.1 the external (example) source IP is where it's S-natted to.
With this "feature" i can't get a higher rate then about 130Mbit/s (msfc cpu bound)
Has any one an idea why this gets executed in software and not in hardware like what the docu says?
Any idea or workaround is welcome.

Difference in results while using .CHILDREN and .ALLMEMBERS

I have two almost similar MDX queries, in one I am using .CHILDREN and in other .ALLMEMBERS. First one returns no rows, the second one returns two. Please help me in understanding why!

EDIT: Some clarifications: AccidentDate is one of the Dimensions in my Cube [AW Cube]. Year is a natural hierarchy while [Year-Quarter-Month-Date] is an user defined hierarchy. [Year-Quarter-Month-Date] is created in the below way: Year-->Month--->Quarter--->Date.
So 'years' can be obtained by doing [Accident Date].[Year-Quarter-Month-Date].[Year].members and also [Accident Date].[Year].MEMBERS. Hope I am clear.

Well, got the answer myself.
Actually every ".CHILDREN" gets internally translated to ".CURRENTMEMBER.CHILDREN"
Now, [Accident Date].[Year].&[2010] is the corresponding value for the slicer on user defined hierarchy.
Here,
"[Accident Date].[Year].CHILDREN"
actually gets translated to
"[Accident Date].[Year].&[2010].CHILDREN"
which is basically an empty set. Hence, Voila! The empty result set!

Comparison of number of bytes transferred over network while using HTTPService and RemoteObjects

If I have to transfer data(say records of 100 employees in a DB) from Server to Client, I could use HTTPService and fetch the data as an XML file and then convert it to ArrayCollection in the Client. Or use RemoteObject and transfer the data in binary. Lets ignore other methods(Web Services etc) of data transfer for the moment.
Now, for the same data, if I implement the application using HTTPService and RemoteObject, I notice that the number of bytes transferred over the network is less in case of HTTPService(XML) when compared to RemoteObject(AMF) which is a shock to me. My understanding is that AMF transfer should be more compact than XML. Ofcourse, once the data is available, RemoteObject result processing is noticeably faster than HTTPService result processing. My concern is why data transferred using AMF is larger than XML. As an example, you may refer to the samples provided in TourDeFlex. Refer to the following:

This is a significant size difference. You may see the data transfer size by using developer tools like the HTTPFox Firefox extension.

There is definitely problem with your tool or you looked at something else. Please check the attached snapshots of the session using charles capture tool. The response sizes are way bigger than what you mentioned but remoteobjects is almost half of httpservice for the complete transfer including request and response. Check below -

Using NAT and PAT together?

ASA is 5540 w/8.3. I have a large inside block of inside address I want to NAT or PAT
to outside addresses. Is it possible to use a block of outside addresses with NAT with
rollover PAT to the whole range, or is it restricted to roll over to only a single address?

Are you looking to do this for outbound connections to the internet? If so, this is possible to do a nat to a group of IP address and then if that gets all used up, have it roll over to a single IP address for PAT.

2800 w/ site-site tunnel using NAT and user tunnels

I am using a 2800 to terminate a site-site IPSec tunnel using a crypto map. It is also used to terminate several user tunnels.
Because of overlapping private address space there is a source NAT rule in place that overloads addresses prior to routing them across the site-site tunnel.
The problem is that the user tunnels are not able to communicate with any host located on the far end of the site-site tunnel. The site-site tunnel (and it's NAT) works just fine for users coming from any other interface on the 2800.
Does anyone have any ideas? I've gone ahead and attached the existing configuration for those that are brave or incredibly smart :) It is a fairly trashed config though, and I'm still trying to clean it up from where it was.
