Duplicate Loops. Not just in the browser - actual duplicate files.

i have GarageBand loops located both in Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Apple Loops/Apple Loops for GarageBand and Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/Apple Loops for GarageBand.
as these are taking up space, which one can i safely delete - the one in Library/Audio or the one in Library/Application Support?

You can remove the loops in Application Support; in fact that is the old location.
But before to delete anything be sure that those are duplicates otherwise simply move them in the new location.

I'm on Firefox 3.6.21, and I got this problem today after a Greasemonkey update (To version 0.9.10, apparently).
Disabling Greasemonkey solved the problem, and re-enabling it reproduced the problem (middle-clicking links to open in new tab did not work, merely highlighted the link).
I should also note that while Greasemonkey was enabled and the bug was affecting me, Ctrl+Click to open links in new tabs was also broken.

EDIT 2: GREASEMONKEY HAS NOW BEEN UPDATED with a workaround to fix the problem. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/versions/ to install the update manually. So then I tried one that went from smaller square plug to what I think is USB (thin rectangular plug) of the sort that connects the keyboard and mouse. Just after I bumped the thread I looked for troubleshooting for this drive online and found the manual which suggested using Disk Utility which I've seen before accidentally (if I hit Command Shift U instead of Shift U to type "Unit" on a new folder for a student's homework ) but had never really noticed. Disk Utility does see it and also a sub-something (directory?) which might be the Time Machine archives on the disk, called disk1s2), sort of the way that my iMac's hard drive shows up as 640.14 GB Nitachi HDT7... and has a sub-something titled DB iMac, which is what I named my iMac's hard drive.
Anyway the owner's manual just shows the image under the formatting section, not the troubleshooting section, but as soon as I saw it in the manual I remembered seeing it accidentally a few times, went to it, and am now verifying the disk. Right now it's telling me that it will take 2 hours to complete the verification, so I guess I have a bigt of a wait. :-)
Does that fact that Disk Utilities can see it mean it's not failed, or just that it hasn't completely failed?
I can see the virtue in having multiple redundant backups, or at least two backups. What do you suggest? Two external hard drives? I had this one linked by ethernet, and but I also have a cord that could link it by USB (like a printer), so if this one is reparable I could get a second one and link it by USB. If this one is not reparable I could get two and do the same thing. I do have an Airport so I suppose it's possible to get some sort of Wi-Fi hard drive (my new printer/scanner uses only the network and not a cable, although it has a cable that I used for the initial installation), but I'd suspect a Wi-Fi hard drive might have a higher price.
What hard drives, if any, do you recommend? I seem to recall that when I was looking at external hard drives 4 years ago, Apple's were substantially more expensive, which is why I got the OWC Mercury Elite All Pro.

1. If you are really on iOS 7.1, you may wish to try upgrading to 8.1.2 which is the latest (basing this on your signature).
2. If updating the phone doesn't help, is this only when you connect to a specific wifi network? Or all wifi networks (including public with no password)? If it is ALL wifi networks, you may have a hardware problem. Genius bar would be the next step.

PDFs do not open in the browser since IE11

Hi,
since the IE11 is installed the PDFs do not open in the browser with Adobe Reader, but directly in Adobe Reader.
The PDFs can be filled but not saved online because they are not open in IE.
If I disable the PlugIn in IE11 and activate again it works again indefinitely.

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

This didn't start happening, it has always been the case in this area. My neighbors and friends, that are also VZW customers, who have lived here longer have confirmed this as well. A Verizon Fios technicnan come to do repairs and could not get his 4G LTE tablet to access data to run diagnostics from my property. He had to drive down the street to get some minimal connectivity and sit there for 30 minutes to access the diagnostics screens. Inside my house, my voice signal ranges from roaming - 2 bars and no data (1x if I'm lucky). I am plagued with drooped calls, missed calls and missed SMS texts, which forced me to get home phone line. My wife has a work AT&T blackberry and it has good signal strength. Friends with Sprint and T-Mobile who come over experience same weak signals. Looks like AT&T is the clear winner in this area. Once my wife's contract is up, we will be switching. Hate to leave VZW but have no choice.

EML files opened from a SharePoint 2010 document libraries are not opened in the browser. Instead, a dialog box is opened and prompts to save the file.
Since there's no standard application that knows how to handle EML files, and since the EML format is built into SP (send emails to document libraries), I think this behavior is unacceptable.
EML files should be opened in the browser, similar to SP 2007.

Seems the solution is in the client side configuration.
If eml files (as all other file types) are not configured to open by default in Outlook 2007 (or Windows Live Mail), they will be prompted for download or open.

solved my problem. Seems by default eml file set to MIME message/rfc822 and associated with windows live mail - SharePoint team hates Outlook team, right?

EJB Model Builder: class is not available in the ejb module archive file.

We are testing
SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio and
SAP NetWeaver Application Server, Java(TM) EE 5 Edition.
We created a sample EJB project(EJB 2.1) with an ejb and an EAR project, we deploy it using SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.
But when we see in the log of the server , there is a message like this:
"EJB Model Builder: Bean class com.saptest.ejb.TestEJBBean is not available in the ejb module archive file., file: TestSAPEJB.jar#TestSAPEJB.jar"
The jar contains this class, we don't know what is wrong.

Installed FF 16, 17, 18. Will not open in normal administrator login, nor with "Run as administrator" but will in W7 safe mode. Changed permissions (had to do it in W7 Safe Mode, normal login would not allow (logged in as an administrator) could not delete the Mozilla files in normal login. On rare occasions, with a new install, I could get it to open once, then not again. Searched the reg for any mention of Mozilla or FF and cleaned it. Tried FF safe mode, no luck. Checked permissions after taking ownership and propagating full ownership rights to all FF files, many reboots, no luck. Chrome, IE and SeaMonkey work fine. Using a fairly new install of W7 Professional 64 bit, on a Dell Optiplex 990 i7, 16GB ram. Had the same problem with another user on an identical box. No problem on other computers No other program problems.

There is no existing trace of FF on the system

Sharepoint powerBi PowerQuery- Can not refresh from the browser

I've used powerQuery to my Excel and called to Sharepoint List using PowerQuery. Then i created a chart using using that list data. When i refresh the list (under WorkBook Queries it gives updated data).
Then i saved that spreadsheet and uploaded to sharepoint online document library. I need to refresh data from the browser too.
I could see there is Data button which has Refresh Selected Connection as an option. It gives following error once i clicked on Refresh Connection button.

Literally nothing happens. If I move the mouse over a clip, click and hold, then drag the mouse anywhere, it's literally as if I wasn't even clicking. And yeah, I'm using the selection tool.
It's not a major problem, I'm just dealing with a project that has a lot of different clips and it's been a pretty big inconvenience.

Why do my 3rd party loops not appear in the "Loop" tab?

I have saved some Magix wav loops into the local apple users directory of Logic Express and though I can find them using the media browser they do not appear in the loops tab listing.
Does anybody know the cure for this?

If you drag your .wav loops into the arrange area do they function properly? If not, you may need to convert them using Apple Loops Utility. After doing that you can drag the folder with the .aiff conversions onto your loops tab to import them.
