Duplicate pages

Has anyone figured out how to insert duplicate pages in iweb yet? I do not want to keep generating pages from scratch if at all possible

Edit>Duplicate or Command+D isn't working for you?
When I get the basic theme template the way I want it, I just duplicate the page and then delete from it, or add to it, as necessary.
Am I missing something here in your question?

  • How do I produce a duplicate page, without having spare pages at the end?

I am a basic user, who is currently trialing the adobe acrobat and Livecycle Design programs...
I am practising the preparation of a report which could have an individuals personal details in "page 1" and the report in pages 2-8 for example...
If I wanted to include, lets say, 5 individuals on the same report, is there a way in which I can have a drop down box, which could ask "how many individuals are in this report" and I could select "5" from a drop down box, causing adobe to add additional pages and duplicate page 1 five times.
Or, at the end of page 1, could I have a tick box or any other type of button which could state "If you have another individual, please "tick box/add/etc". Also adding a new page with the blank page 1 format.
At the moment, I have added blank copies of page 1 at the end of the report. The option described would stop me having to print every report I completed with several blank copies of "page 1" when they may not be required.
It also prevents me from completing the report then printing it, reseting the form and printing page 1 for each individual (5 times in my example)
    Hope that made sense...
The end user will be using Adobe Reader Only.

I recommend you post questions about Acrobat in the Acrobat Windows or
Acrobat Macintosh forum, or specific LiveCycle Designer questions in
    the LiveCycle Designer forum.
Create PDF Online is a subscription service on Adobe's web site which
only makes PDF files, nothing else, so it won't help you.

  • How do you duplicate a PDF fill in form page, WITHOUT linking the text (for MAC)???  That is, while still being able to type different things into the blanks on the duplicate pages?

The Situation (again, I have a Mac):  I am filling out a 5 job application- it is PDF format, with questions, and fill in the blanks for your information- such as name, date, and employment history.  Page 3, is the page used for employment history.  But, there is only room for two jobs on page 3.  The instructions tell you, you can "have as many page three's" as you want.  In my case, I will be putting 8 jobs- at two jobs per page, that is a total of 4 page three's.   I already know how to duplicate a PDF page, simply by opening the thumbnail viewer on the side, holding down the "alt" key, and clicking and dragging the desired page to create a duplicate.  So what is the problem??? When you duplicate the page, the boxes into which you type, are linked.  So if on the original, you type "Job A", into the experience box, it forces the same answer on the duplicate page, making it impossible to describe different positions!!!!  Is there a way to work around that? Thank you!!!!!

You're probably using Acrobat if you can duplicate pages like that. This is the Adobe Reader forum...
To answer your question, though: The only way this can be done automatically, without having to manually rename each field, is to use a Template to spawn new pages. This is something the form's author should have done, but you can do it yourself as well, using some code.

  • Exporting to PDF generating duplicate pages

    Hi,
I have a crystal report which includes 4 sub reports. The report contains 9 pages. Which is exported to PDF. It is working fine till last week.  Now  it is generating around 60 duplicate pages of same content.I am using ASP.NET 1.1 & Crystal Reports 11. Please help me. Thanks,Rajasekhar

I would suggest you to observe the properties of the sub report table in a section where the Page Layout > 'Repeat on every new page' property is checked. If yes, then uncheck the 'Repeat on every new page' property option.
Publish the report again with subreport and test the issue.

  • Why is Enable Usage Rights creating Duplicate Pages?

I have created a dynamic PDF form in LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2.  The form is formatted correctly and has no duplicate pages when examining the not-enabled form in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.  However, when I attempt to Enable Usage Rights so that external users can download the form and fill in the fields, the ENABLED version has duplicate pages.  I do not understand why because the original document does not have these duplicates - they only appear when I Enable the Usage Rights.  I cannot delete these duplicate pages in the Enabled version.  Please help!

hello, these are the files where firefox stores its cache - you won't need ccleaner (in fact it will only slow things down as you've already noticed, since those files have to be recreated after the next start of the browser), you can also clear the cache with the built-in mechanism in firefox: [[How to clear the Firefox cache]]

  • Best way to find duplicate pages / find duplicate background images

What is the best way to detect duplicate pages?
The pages I am dealing with are searchable image (scanned Image background with selectable text overtop). In this case, Any two pages that have the exact same background image will be duplicate.
I only know how to get page text though, so I've been getting the text and hashing it, then checking for duplicate hashes. This works for the most part, but I fear running into two different pages with the exact same text.
What about looking at the background image? If a PDF has multiple pages with the same background image, I assume it would store the image once and then just reference it from the pages? Is it possible to check duplicate pages this way?
Or Does Acrobat have a built-in checking solution I haven't discovered? As always, any help is appreciated

Ok, well for the most part doing it by text works, but it sometimes flags things that arn't duplicate: such as two of the same worksheets that were not filled out will have the exact same text, despite being completely different pages

I swear, if someone doesn't come up with a solution to this problem, I'm gonna hurl! HA!
I'm having the *exact* same problem as you, and have been searching for over a day for a resolution - nothing!! Not only is all my text jagged (as you illustrated here), my images are as well, and any other "effects". This is ridiculous!
I just recently switched from a Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard, to a new shiny iMac running Mountain Lion. This is when all my problems started... Same Acrobat version, same Pages version.
I've tried Export as PDF, Print to PDF, open them in Preview THEN export as PDF? Open the saved PDF into Illustrator, then re-save as PDF? Nothing fixes it. So I went back to my Macbook Pro, did everything the same (with the SAME document), and it works great. So I can only preclude that it's an issue with Mountain Lion.
I'm panicking here because I have sooooo.... many documents that I've done previously, that I will no doubt need to re-open and edit, then re-save as PDF moving forward. So what am I supposed to do to fix this?
HELP, someone!!!!!   ytimon001: were you able to find resolution on this at all?

  • Duplicate pages for the same artist

Hi, In the Indian Classical instrumental music there are two artists with duplicate pages due to slight variation in name or spelling. These are Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia Pandit is a title. These should be combined so all albums show up together. Shivkumar Sharma, Shiv Kumar Sharma Here the first name has been split. These should be combined so all albums show up together. Thanks for an awesome music service with great features! regardsDushyant

For some iPods, they just can't seem to reconcile the different file formats, and you end up with duplicate entries of the same artists. That has been my problem and have had to learn to live with it.
    I've not had that problem.
The usual reason why an artist appears several times is because of spelling differences, capitalistion, or guest artists.
For example, "Dire Straits" and "Dire straits" may appear together in your iTunes Library, but become separate entries on the iPod. "The Clash" is different to "Clash, The".
If one track on an album is listed differently to the rest, say as "The Clash featuring a guest artist", then this too would be listed separately to "The Clash".  The usual fix for this is to add the featured artist to the track name and remove it from the artist's name.
The hardest one to spot is stray spaces after a band name . You can see the one I deliberately put in at the end of that last sentence, but it's not so easy in the Artist field, where full stops (period) are not used.
An easy tip is to copy the artist name from one track, and paste it into all the others by that artist. Then Sync the iPod with your Library for these changes to take effect on the iPod.

  • When reading my book on iBooks, I encounter duplicate pages for many pages then it skips the pages that should be there so I am missing large parts to chapters, is this a "bug" in the book or app? How can this be fixed?

Does the same thing happen on any other books that you have in the app ? If not then it's probably just that one book, in which can you could try deleting the book and re-downloading it - if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' from your purchase history :http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1933

  • ERROR: cannot edit or duplicate page. Reason: no editable regions

    Hi,
Going round in circles with this one.  Feeling like Friday afternoon.
    URL: http://www.business-risc.com/fleet/bss/1/index.html
    CtrlE works fine.
    Click on "POLICIES" spry tab
    Click on EDIT PAGE
Highlights the correct editable region... hover confirms its an editable region.
Allows me to edit, no problem.
Then, on SAVE DRAFT or DONE returns ERROR: cannot edit or duplicate page.  Reason: page does not contain any editable regions.
I just cant see why.  Can anyone help please?
    Thanks
    Carol

There should be a space before the ice:editable attributes (all of them):
    class="TabbedPanelsContent"ice:editable="*"

  • Delete A Large Number of Randomly Distributed Duplicate Pages

    Hello Sir,
I have a pdf file with as many as 10,000 pages, which actually should has 6,000 pages. The extra duplicate 4,000 pages are randomly distributed in the file without any discipline. Do we have such as tool can scan, compare and pick out the duplicate pages by a batch processing  so that I don't need to do this manually. If we don't have such a function, can we develop it for next version/generation? Thank you very much. My email is [email protected]

You can manual mark the duplicate pages with comments. After this you can delete the marked pages with Acrobat Javascript.

  • Auto delete duplicate pages in a merged pdf?

    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to automatically have Adobe Professional search a pdf and delete/remove all of the duplicate pages?  I have merged a bunch of separate pdf files where some of the files have duplicate pages...thus instead of searching the entire pdf for the duplicate pages manually (+500 pages), I was hoping Adobe Professional could do this somehow automatically.
    Thanks,
    kmullen

Attached a VBS example how to get the text of a PDF page.
So you can loop trough the pages and delete if text1 = text2
The documentation you will find in the Acrobat SDK.
    Section: IAC (InterApplication Comm..).
If you need examples for single commands search in Google for that.
The search function here is not very good.

  • Duplicate pages...a faster way

In Adobe Professional: I need to duplicate pages 20 times. For example, a page with exhibit A will need to be in this 20 times. Now, I am going to Document>Insert Pages...> (choosing the file) > and then inserting it. I do this whole process 20 times. How do I do it 1 times but insert 20 pages of the same document in this one PDF file.
    Thanks.

I don't have a one-step solution for you, but there are other ways to do your task until a solution is found.
Idea 1: Insert the page once. Open the thumbnails view. Select the page to be duplicated. While holding down the Control key, click and drag the page to duplicate it. You can select multiple pages for duplication using the same method.
Idea 2: Open the main document and the document to be inserted. Open them side-by-side (Windows > Tile > Vertically) with thumbnails view in each. You can drag the pages from one document to another.
Idea 3: Right click on the file you want inserted and select Combine Supported files in Acrobat. A window will open. Drag the file 19 more times. Click Combine Files and save. Insert the saved file into your document.
Idea 4: Create a batch script. Advanced > Document Processing > Batch Processing > New Sequence > (name) > Select Commands > select Page > Insert Pages > Edit... etc.

  • Duplicate Pages When Reader Extended?

I've created a form in live cycle designer es.  It's a 5 page form and 3 of the pages have an "insert page" button in order for the user to add duplicate pages if required.  This functionality seems to work fine until I "Reader Extend" the document.  Once I extend reader rights it creates 6 duplicate pages of the first page.  I can't figure out why.  I've set the "Repeat Subform" to an initial count = 1 and am not sure what other setting could be causing this.  Any assistance is appreciated.

I woudl need to see the form to figure out what is happening. Can you send the form to non Reader Extended form to [email protected] Also indicate how you are Reader Extending, what version you are using  and what rights you are adding.

  • Bring back Duplicate page.

Hey, Apple Pages peeps. Bring back Duplicate page. The new version offers Duplicate Selection, but not an entire page, which used to be available in thumbnail view.

If you previously had iWork '09, those apps are still in your Applications folder in a folder named iWork '09. You can continue to use them to get things done.
We are all just end-users like yourself here. To have Apple "hear" you you need to leave feedback for the Pages team using the link in the Pages menu and review & rate the new versions in the Mac App Store.
