TransactNo, but you can hit the "edit" button on the first message in the thread and change the subject to something like "Duplicate post, please igonre". These double and triple posts are not that uncommon around here and most people understand (and have done it themselves). It seems to be due to slow response from the server and people hitting "post" button again and again, thinking it didn't "take" the first time.

Please help me to delete a duplicate post on this forum?

Hi everyone,
I have two discussions on this site, quite similar, and the reason why is I forgot to write some stuff. So, I now have this 'duplicate' old post with incorrect and misleading info...the post I want deleted is here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23607239#23607239
I found out the only way to delete a post is to report it, but I cannot report my own post. And I'm Level 1 anyways, only Level 2 and up can report posts. So I'm calling all Level 2+, to help me delete this post. Simply click on the link and report as a duplicate post. Thanks in advance.

When I encountered this in CP 1 or 2, it was because 'export
as .zip
file' (or whatever that option is) was not checked. You gotta
publish to
a .zip file to get the supporting SCO files...?

I just encountered the same. First my reply said it had timed out. Next a message that I could not reply more than once in 30 seconds, then posted another reply. Still nothing in this thread but probably will be duplicated.

In the PS module, we allow the deletion of a component pruchase requisition allthough a purchase order exists. The system will send message CN707 "<i>A purchase order already exists for purchase requisition &</i>" as an Iinformation message by design to allow flexible project management.
If you, however, desire the message CN707 to be of type E you have to
modify the standard coding. Doing so, using SE91, you can invoke the
where-used-list of message 707 in message class CN, and to change the
i707(cn)
to
e707(cn)
where desired.
Also, user exit CNEX0039 provides the possibility to reject the
deletion of a component according to customers needs e. g. you may
check here whether a purchase order exists and reject the deletion.

I hate sites like this. There's no way to get from one
sublevel to another
without going to the top level.
I suggest you not use fly-out-type menus, but instead, have
subordinate
sectional navigation on each page within a given section. You
can easily do
this with a single template using Library items in an
editable region for
the sectional navigation, or better, using server-side
includes.

I have Frame 9 patched fully, patch 4, in Windows 7 Ultimate running in VMmare Fusion fully updated. I get this error every time I start Frame.
I have the same Frame version and updates running in the same Windows Ultimate running on Parallels Desktop 9, fully updated and it runs fine, no issues at all.
I have removed Frame in VMware several times. completely, with YourUninstaller which cleans all files, folders, and registry entries to no avail. I have deleted and/or renamed the Linguistics folder several times. Changed the maker.ini "sitedictionary=" entry to no avail, (I saw this in another post on another discussion site", didn't work... A side note, Frame 12 runs fine on the VMware machine...
I am at a loss other than Frame 9 and VMware Fusion are not compatible for some crazy reason. Any ideas?

If the post needs to be removed – most commonly, this happens when the post is abusive – please indicate your reason for flagging it (for example, “SPAM!”).
Once you click Notify Moderator, an email with the request will be sent to the moderator. The issue is typically addressed within a business day, if action is warranted.
Please keep in mind that we are not keen on removing posts because “the issue was solved” or because assistance is no longer needed. These threads are public collaborative spaces and even if you no longer need the answer to the posted question, someone else may benefit from it. Therefore, we strive to avoid removing threads that contain potentially useful information related to NI Products.

IGNORE - duplicate post

I spent a lot of time chasing this down so thought I'd post something since I didn't immediately find the Metalink note mentioned below.
I migrated a 6i form to 11g then tried to compile the module in Forms builder. It closed on me with no error. I couldn't find any log or error file. Compiling the form with frmcmp gave me an error file but it seemed to randomly stop at different points no matter how many triggers I eliminated. In addition to that, compilation of the PL/SQL didn't cause a crash.
I finally stumbled upon a Metalink note that provided the answer: "An Item's Column Name Property Containing a Long DECODE Function Causes the Forms Compiler to Crash [ID 465970.1]." Sure enough, I had a column name with a decode in it. After I removed that, the compilation succeeded. The solution in the note says to reduce the length to less than 140 - that didn't work for me. I had to remove the decode altogether.

Preventing duplicate post

Does anyone have a suggestion regarding how to prevent duplicate posts with JSF?
As an example, I have one form that allows users to carry out CRUD operations on the data that is being displayed. All successfully processed requests result in a post back to this same page.
I really want to avoid the problems that could occur if a delete or new request gets reposted by an impatient user.
Any suggestions are welcome. I should also note that for scalability reasons, I prefer to avoid solutions which require storing token, etc. in the session. I will settle for such a strategy in the absence of a better solution.

Thanks to all who responded. Just a couple follow-up questions and comments.
1. Can not use Shale. I'm in a heavily restricted corporate environment that limits me to IBM's (poor) implementation of JSF 1.0.
2. Would rather not address the problem soley through the use of JavaScript because users can always disable JavaScript.
3. Redirecting back to the page instead of forwarding back is not practical for three reasons. One, it will require my backing bean to make calls down into my application to retrieve data that would already have been readily available if I were forwarding, and I'm not comfortable with that performance decrease. Two, redirecting back to the form makes displaying of validation errors difficult. Three, redirecting to the page would successfully handle the circumstance where a user hits refresh, but doesn't handle the case of an impatient user who clicks the submit button twice while waiting for a response.
If anyone can propose a solution that works within these constraints, let me know.
