Duplicate records for the same computer
I have recently deployed SCCM 2007 SP1 with R2 for a customer. We are currently in the process of deploying imaging and are having an issue with duplicate computers showing up. The duplicates appear to be for the same computer. I have read everything I can on duplicate computers showing up, but none of it has helped. Basically, we have our base image, which is just a basic install of XP SP2 with all updates. We lay down the image on a clean computer using an OSD task sequence, and when the machine shows up in the all systems collection, there are two records for it. The current one is called SCCMTEST01.
The first record shows the following:
Name: SCCMTEST01
Resource Type: System
Domain: OURDOMAIN
Site: 001
Client: Yes
Approved: Approved
Assigned: Yes
Blocked: No
Client Type: Advanced
Obsolete: No
Active: Yes
Properties:
Agent Name[0]: MP_ClientRegistration
Agent Name[1]: Heartbeat Discovery
The second record shows the following:
Name: SCCMTEST01
Resource Type: System
Domain: OURDOMAIN
Site: 001
Client: No
Approved: N/A
Assigned: Yes
Blocked: No
Client Type:
Obsolete:
Active:
Properties:
Agent Name[0]: SMS_AD_SYSTEM_DISCOVERY_AGENT
Agent Name[1]: SMS_AD_SYSTEM_GROUP_DISCOVERY_AGENT
The first one appears to be the active one, since it includes more information and the client is listed as installed. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be misconfigured?
thanks,
Justin
I'm experiencing the same behaviour as described above. Not using any other OS distribution methods than scripted installation from RIS, will obviously make explanations based on OS Deployment behaviour not applicable in my case.
The thing is that an object being discovered by Heartbeat, MP_Registration, SMS_AD_SYSTEM and SMS_AD_SYSTEN_GROUP... until suddenly, SMS_AD_SYSTEM_GROUP discovery agent starts generating a new object and updates that object from the moment on. Heartbeat from the client still updates the original object. This is done for about five object a day (among 2600 alltogether), and it's not the same computers that do this (apart from some, troublesome clients...).
When finding this duplicate object, I have kept the one generated by SMS_AD_SYSTEM... and then reinitiated a Heartbeat Discovery on that object. Doing this will make Heartbeat to update the new object (now the original is gone), and everything seem to work for a while, although I have to manually approve that object again.
I cannot work out what makes SMS_AD_SYSTEM... generate a new object.
Does anyone have an idea?

Merging two records in a single record for the same matnr,werks and bwart.
Hi I have a requirement to merge two records into one single record using the quantity field from MSEG table.
I am selecting two records from the table MSEG. Now for these two records i have to add the quantity values into one variable.
Then there should be only one record for the same matnr,werks,bwart.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Regards,
Amithi,
You can COLLECT statement only if all non key fields are numeric.
This statement Adds all such fields and give us a single record.

Duplicate records in the same table
Hello.
I want to duplicate records in the same table, changing just two date fields and id. Id is changed with sequence.
Example:
id name start_date end_date
1 record_1 01.01.04 31.12.04
2 record_2 01.01.03 31.12.03
I want to duplicate record with the start_date year 04 and the duplicated record would change that start_date into year 05.
After duplicate it should look like:
1 record_1 01.01.04 31.12.04
2 record_2 01.01.03 31.12.03
3 record_1 01.01.05 31.12.05
How should my insert look like?
Thankscreate sequence A_SEQ
start with 3
nocache
insert into tableA
(ID, name, start_date end_date)
select
A_SEQ.nextval
,NAME
,start_date + add_months (12)
,end_date + add_months (12)
from
tableA
where
start_date >= to_date('01.01.2004','dd.mm.yyyy')
and start_date <= to_date('01.01.2004','dd.mm.yyyy') -

2)Please verify your notification setup
Setup --> Incident Rules => Select your rule(will be in the alert) -->edit --> Select the event --> NExt --> Add actions --> edit
Repeat Notifications
Both basic and advanced notifications can be sent repeatedly. The repeat notifications will stop only when one of the following conditions is met: The incident is acknowledged, the incident has cleared, or the maximum number of repeat notifications has been reached. Repeat notification is not supported for corrective action job status updates and causal analysis status updates on events.
Send Repeat notifications --> Enabled? if is enabled then u will get repeated notification.
OR if you set the frequency like 15 mins , 5 notification then u will receive 5 on every 15 mins if the alert persists.

PT_QTA00 is generating repetative records for the same quota type
PT_QTA00 is generating repetative records for the same quota type and one more thing i have already maintained 10 days of quota in 2006 and when i run for the same employee its creating one more record with 10 days again how can we restrict it in configuration
As said earlier, you want to setup Time Constraints for It2006 which is in table: V_T582A
You should set the Time Constraint to 2.
HR master data uses the following three time constraints:
Time Constraint 1
For the entire time that the employee works at the enterprise, exactly one valid infotype record must exist. The validity periods of the individual records must not overlap. If a new record is created, the system automatically uses the start date of the new record as the delimitation date of the old record. Gaps are only allowed between the employeeu2019s entry date and the start date of the first record.
Time constraint 1 must be used for all of the infotypes containing information that must be available at all times. This is particularly true of personal and organizational assignment data.
If a record is delimited because of time constraint 1, the system displays an appropriate message.
Time Constraint 2
No more than one valid record can exist at any one time. Records with constraint 2 must not overlap. Their existence is not obligatory. If a new record is created, the system automatically delimits the previous record, if one exists.
If a record is delimited because of time constraint 2, the system displays an appropriate message.
Time Constraint 3
Any number of valid records can exist at any one time. The individual records do not conflict with each other. -
Multiple info records for the same material record in the catalog
Hi Guys,
I have got sort of a puzzle I can not solve at the moment, maybe some one can help me to solve it. The situation in our system landscape is as follows:
Systems:
SRM 5.0 (Classic implementation scenario)
ECC 6.0
SRM-MDM 2.0
PI 2005
Material master is maintained in R/3 and the materials are replicated to SRM. From SRM we replicate all materials to the catalog repository in SRM-MDM.
As the material master in R/3 is vendor independent, the materials replicated to SRM also have no vendor attached. For the first initial material replication from SRM to the catalog SRM-MDM this also means that the products in the main table of the repository, u2018catalog positionsu2019, will not have a vendor or vendor number attached (i.e. no reference to a source of supply).
To assign a source of supply in the repository to a product (record) we will use info records which are replicated from R/3 to SRM-MDM. The mapping for this in the Import Manager can only be based on the product number. As this is the only unique value available which can map a info record to a already existing (but vendor less) ptoduct item in the catalog.
As long as every item in the repository has only one unique info record, meaning one source of supply with a specific price, there is no issue in the above scenario. Based on the product-id, the info record data will be matched with the material item in the catalog.
The issue for me arises when multiple info records exists for the same material. The info records can heave different vendors and different prices. All possible vendors should be available in the catalog for the same material (at least this is the requirement ).
At this point the product-id will no longer be an unique value. Importing the info records will cause problems, as only one material record is available in the repository for the specific product-id (remember that when doing a initial replication of the material master to the catalog, no vendor data is replicated).
Does anyone had this issue before, and knows a solution? Is it for example possible during the import of the info records in the Import manager, to duplicate material records in the destination data, based on the number of info records available in the source data for the same product-id. Or is there an other solution that I am missing?
Your help would be appreciated!

Duplicate pages for the same artist
Hi, In the Indian Classical instrumental music there are two artists with duplicate pages due to slight variation in name or spelling. These are Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia Pandit is a title. These should be combined so all albums show up together. Shivkumar Sharma, Shiv Kumar Sharma Here the first name has been split. These should be combined so all albums show up together. Thanks for an awesome music service with great features! regardsDushyant

For some iPods, they just can't seem to reconcile the different file formats, and you end up with duplicate entries of the same artists. That has been my problem and have had to learn to live with it.
I've not had that problem.
The usual reason why an artist appears several times is because of spelling differences, capitalistion, or guest artists.
For example, "Dire Straits" and "Dire straits" may appear together in your iTunes Library, but become separate entries on the iPod. "The Clash" is different to "Clash, The".
If one track on an album is listed differently to the rest, say as "The Clash featuring a guest artist", then this too would be listed separately to "The Clash". The usual fix for this is to add the featured artist to the track name and remove it from the artist's name.
The hardest one to spot is stray spaces after a band name . You can see the one I deliberately put in at the end of that last sentence, but it's not so easy in the Artist field, where full stops (period) are not used.
An easy tip is to copy the artist name from one track, and paste it into all the others by that artist. Then Sync the iPod with your Library for these changes to take effect on the iPod. -

After We Fill And Submit SIT's An Error Occurs - ORA-01086: savepoint 'WF_SAVEPOINT' (Doc ID 735231.1)
Errors ORA-20001 And ORA-06512 Using HR_SIT_API (Doc ID 111263.1)
(this one shows you can get savepoint errors if there are problems with the DFF setup) -
Duplicate AVDoc for the same PDDoc
Is it possible to duplicate an AVDoc and show it in an external Window? According to API Reference, Starting with Acrobat 7.0, it is possible to have multiple windows open on the same document. But I found no API that can do that. If I use AVDocOpenFromXXX() to create a new ADDoc for an opened PDDoc, I get always the same AVDoc returned.
Alternatively, I can simulate a MenuItem NewWindow button click to create a second AVPageView for the same PDDoc and put it into an external window. However, in this case, Abode Acrobat treats it like the one created within the application. The external window is listed as MenuItem under Menu Window. Also, I get problem, if I click Revert MenuItem.
Does Adobe PDF library provide a solution on this issue? Can I you IAC to cope with this problem?
Im developing a Plugin with SDK 8 for Acrobat 8.
Thanks.Hi Leonard,
External Window is a MS Window outside the Acrobat application window. Acrobat standard plugins: Pan and Zoom Window and Loupe Tool are able to open such kind of window based on the origin PDDoc.
The example External Window given by Adobe opens a new PDF (that was not opened) in an external window. If a PDF is opened, you cannot show it in another window again, for AVDocOpenFromXXX() returns always the same view.
With the workaround: MenuItem New Window, I can get several views of the same PDDoc and thus show a PDF in different windows including in an external MS window. But Acrobat and external windows interfere with each other: Acrobat lists all opened external windows in system menu; if you press revert button, the external windows will be closed.
I want to open several external windows based on the same PDDoc. They have the style like Pan and Zoom Window.

Can't merge "duplicate" libraries on the same computer
MAC PRO
OSX 10.6.8, Aperture 3.2.4
I'm trying to merge two libraries on the same mac (different drives). The libraries were duplicates at one time but have since changed - I've added photos to both of these libraries (unintentionally) to the point where both are different sizes and not true duplicates any longer. Trying to merge the two libraries back into one isn't allowed as Aperture says it's a duplicate "of the library currently running."
I have been able to export an individual project as its own library then merge it into the same project in the other library but not everything all at once.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.I discovered the fix for this issue. Supposedly the problem occurs when an Aperture library is moved or copied via Finder rather than using the Import/Export function with the Aperture itself. Since that is accurate for my situation, I'm assuming it's true.
In order to merge libraries that were once the same, first create a new library for each existing library. To do this go to File/Switch to Library/Other/New. Choose "Create New" in the dialog box, select a volume to place the new library, give it a name unique for that library, and hit "Create." In the new library, go to File/Import/Library/Project and select a library that you want to eventually want to merge. Import this library. You'll need to do this for every library you want to merge. Once all of the libraries have been imported into new libraries (think of this as just a laborious way of simply renaming the files), then you should be able to merge the libraries together. Be aware you that must create new libraries for all libraries you want to merge. Just creating one new library and attempting to merge the contents with another won't work. In my case, Aperture went through the "process" of merging, very quickly, but none of the files of the second library actually merged into the first - and no error message will appear. -
Why two records for the same key???
Hi,
I'm finding that our database contains "duplicate" records even though it is set to disallow duplicated. In particular, from DbDump, here are two keys from our database:
737201037870770c0001000000a6005a001471c678
737201037870770c0001000000a6005a0014711678
You can probably really think of them as
737201037870770c 0001000000a6005a00147 1c678
737201037870770c 0001000000a6005a00147 11678
where only the middle part is "our key data". Use use Externalizable and have methods for the key:
public void readExternal(ObjectInput in) throws IOException, ClassNotFoundException {
short oldVersion = in.readShort();
this.primaryKey = in.readInt();
this.orderPurpose = in.readChar();
this.foreignKey = in.readInt();
public void writeExternal(ObjectOutput out) throws IOException {
out.writeShort(externalizationVersion);
out.writeInt(this.primaryKey);
out.writeChar(this.orderPurpose);
out.writeInt(this.foreignKey);
public int compare(Object o1, Object o2) {
byte[] b1 = (byte[]) o1;
byte[] b2 = (byte[]) o2;
final int compareLen = b1.length;
for (int i=0; i<compareLen; i++) {
if (b1[i] != b2) {
return (b1[i] < b2[i] ? -1 : 1);
return 0;
My question is basically this: what are the trailing bytes for in the key and why do they differ in my case? BTW, we're using an old version, 2.0.90, and we recently switched to Java 6 from Java 5... (just in the interest of full disclosure!)
Thanks very much in advance,
DanYes, you're right. That hint really helped me find
my problem !!Glad to hear that.
I still don't know what the leading and trailing
bytes are used for but at this point, it doesn't
really matter anymore.They're output by Java serialization when JE calls ObjectOutputStream.writeObject, so they should be defined here:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/serialization/spec/protocol.html
Thanks for your help,You're welcome,

Duplicate addresses for the same contact in Address Book.
For many of my contacts, there are duplicate addresses. When I delete one of the addresses, both of them disappear. Pretty funky. Anybody else see this type of thing?
Hi,
Pls go to, Enterprise mangaer --> Monitoring -> incident --> Search for the target and select as "show all" will give you alert details.
Enterpise --> Monitoring --> Incident Manager: Search -->
Last updated : Date Range:< >
Target Name : D B NAME
Target Type:<DB TYPE>
Include members : Target and all member
Status : Show both open and closed
Supressed : Show all
2)Please verify your notification setup

Creating multiple library records for the same song
Is it possible to create multiple entries in the itunes library for a single file, each with different metadata? I have a number of songs which appear on several albums each. I would like to be able to see complete track lists for these albums, but I don't want to uselessly fill up disk space with duplicate files.
I do not think so. The way the music lib XML is setup there is one single reference to a file, and multiple play lists can point to that reference. How may of these files do you have?
