Duplicate SD card to larger SD card?

Hi, I'm trying to duplicate the contents of the 16GB micro SD card that came with my Xperia Play to a larger 32GB card. I've been using a file manager to simply copy the contents across to the new card, but I often get errors and then it will stop and give up.
After doing a bit of research online and reading this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=897408, I don't use Linux and the thread goes off on a bit of a tangent. The topic is regarding HTC Hero, but I would assume that this isn't device specific?
It seems you can't just copy the files because the 16GB card has partitions. Looking at the volume in Disk Management, Win7, there are no patitions on the card.
So, what is the best method of duplicating the contents of the card? Or is there some copy protection in place and I'm stuck with the 16GB card, which I want to use with my Cowon J3 media player.

After I posed the question, I thought about it some more.. formatted the new card again and have tried a slightly different way.
Instead of copying on-the-fly, card to card, which is really slow. I've copied to contents to a new folder on my laptop. Then copied the contents of the folder to the new card.
It's currently at about 98% progress with one error in a MP3 file, whereas it would quit at around 40% on-the-fly. I can easily rip the CD again and replace the corrupt file.
If this doesn't work, then I'll try the method you suggested.

Dear Ramesh,
It is not possible to assign multiple credit control areas to the single company code but you can assign single credit control area to the multiple company codes.
Relation bet ween company code and credit control area is
Many to One
But not
One to Many

Contacts * Can I duplicate a card and then edit the info?

I have a client group to add to contacts; about a couple dozen people. There's many fields, sure, but in almost every case only the name, title, and email address change. It's a pain to have to do a new card every time and re-enter the information -- is there a way to duplicate the card and just edit the couple of items that need to be changed? I don't see any way to do this.

Sorry - I left something out. Check the "Company" box (step 2 below). Simple. Who would have thought?
1. Input the info that you will use in multiple cards 2. select "Company" box under the address. This gives priority to the company name rather than the individual. 3. Copy;Paste. You should now have a duplicate! 5. Edit the detail. 6. Copy; Paste. 7. Etc.
If it doesn't work its probably because you forgot to check the Company box.

Prevent Duplicate Job Card Number

Hi, I am using the below SBO code which tries to block users inputting duplicate job card number when issuing items from after sales warehouses, but it doesn't seem to be working.

It now works after I added unique constraints to each of the fields.
Google results showed me that ORA-00001 is Oracle's Duplicate message and I added a condition in the SQLException Catch area and it catches all my Duplicate entry attempts and shows message to the user.
Here is what I have and would like to know if this is an efficient way I am doing this??

HT2486 I recently updated to Lion, when I accessed my address book I now have duplicates of cards that are in my contacts and groups. When I try to merge it says they come from different accounts. Any suggestions?

You likely have them in both the On My Mac account and the iCloud account. I deleted all from my On My Mac account except the ones I didn't want iClouded. Did the opposite on the iCloud account.

How can I duplicate a card in "Contacts"?

Hi, Using Macs since 1985. Does someone know WHY ON EARTH did some dumb-*** remove the ability to duplicate a contact in Contacts app? (X at least since Lion or definitely Mavericks.
Why on earth should I have to manually duplicate a contact card when I may have 5 biz contacts at the same company and do not want to have to fill out all the same info for each card repeatedly (for us organized folks) when aIl I should do is just duplicate a contact that is already completed, then change the name email and phone#. Thus keeping, webnsote, address, etc etc.

Does anyone know how other than exporting, change file name and re-importing which is lubricous to have to do when they use to have this feature??

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

How do I actually view the actual duplicate address cards identified?

When I hit "card" and then "look for duplicates" I get a result that says "you have 20 duplicates. I then have the option to merge or cancel. How can I actually get a listing of the duplicates so I can decide? Itunes has that feature for duplicate songs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to get duplicate rows in a large table

I have a table which consists of 26 columns and 2 milion records..while doing validation i suspect there are duplicate records in that table...
Is there any way to check duplicate rows in a table?

You can also use the MERGE statement and the WHEN NOT MATCHED clause to insert rows only if that value is not there.
But if you are just checking the one column then a unique index would do it.
Does that column allow a NULL value?
Do you care about existing duplicate values?
If you only want to check NEW inserts then create a UNIQUE constraint and use the ENABLE NOVALIDATE clause:

ENABLE NOVALIDATE ensures that all new DML operations on the constrained data comply with the constraint. This clause does not ensure that existing data in the table complies with the constraint.
That will check new data but leave the old data alone - no performance hit for the old data.

Blurring a duplicate layer to avoid large selection

I hate large selections in view of blurring the background so they come out wonderful (and much faster) by blurring all of a layer and then removing the subject with a brush. Anything not recommendable or am I missing out on something with this kind of cheating?

I assume you are referring to a Layer Mask?
Why are you calling that »cheating«?
Anyway I would recommend applying the Blur as a Smart Filter (and masking that possibly).
But as the Blur would introduce blurring of the subject itself the, in my opinion, best approach would be
• lift the subject onto a layer of its own and Layer Mask that
• clone stamp or otherwise remove the subject from the background and apply the Blur as a Smart Filter
• add noise (as a Smart Filter or a Pattern Overlay) on the background to match the grain/noise of the non-blurred element(s)

How to duplicate an Address Book card?

An old discussion from Nov 2010 almost describes my situation, but the same solution cannot be found in OS 10.7.3. (click HERE for that short discussion)
My question is actually broader — it's about how to best use AB.
It's a similar situation where several people, each with a different email address, all work at the same company, same address, same phones. So I have one AB entry full of details and notes for the company. Often the company name is the name of the primary contact person like John Smith, Architect.
Problem is when sending email, the name doesn't match the email address. Sometimes I'm sending email to several people of same company, but it turns up as John Smith <johnsmith@smith.***>, John Smith <[email protected]>, John Smith <[email protected]>, John Smith <whoknows@smith.***>, etc. where they're actually for Jane Doe, Joe Blow, Who Knows, etc.
So should I duplicate the single AB card into separate cards, one for each person at the company?
If so, how can I quickly duplicate the card?
Then how best to update details across all duplicated cards?
If duplicating AB cards is not a good strategy, then how best to use AB for this situation?

First drow a class digram to reprecent the entries that you want to store including the content of the entries.
Then you can write the classes
Decide the storage method (DBMS/Serialization/Something else). If you want fearchers like searching a use of DBMS will make your life easy.
Then do the coding of the business logic
Finally write the GUI

I'm afraid the LU suffix is a new one on me.
As long as you have all of the content in your library then that remove and sync warning shouldn't cause any loss of data, but it shouldn't be happening every time. It may pay to take the following steps to reset the connection between the two,
Backup device.
Restore as a new device.
Restore the backup made earlier.
Again, this assumes all content on the device is in your library. If that isn't the case see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device first.

Using the business card template, I have created one perfect card with text, photo etc. How do I duplicate this card to fill out the rest of the template?

Welcome to Apple Discussions and the Pages '09 forum.
Here's an alternate method:
Select all placeholder items in the other 7 cards on the page.
Press delete to remove them, leaving only your one perfect card.
Select all of the items making up your card, using the method in ibookmaster's post.
Press command-D to duplicate all items.
Press shift-command-up arrow once to vertically align the copy with the original.
Press shift-command-right arrow repeatedly to quickly move the copy into the card space at the top of the right column.
Press command-right arrow (and/or command-left arrow) to nudge the copy into its final position.
Select the copy and the original.
Repeat the steps above using shift-command-left arrow once, then shift-command-down arrow and command-down arrow to move the two new copies into the second row.
Select all four copies.
Repeat the steps above to align these horizontally, then move them into rows three and four.
Save. Print.

Facebook changed my contact card, how can I restore it?

Ok this one has me considering a trip to Mountain View. I just recognized that The Contact card on my MBP has been changed, and decorated with that maddening blue filter and "f" telling me "You're ours, now."
I just recently disconnected FB from my contacts and I think I'm getting control over those, but Lord they are getting presumptuious! I smite ye out "Facebook!"
Any nuggets of wisdom onthis topic would be deeply appreciated. Thank you Apple Community.

Facebook kept hijacking my Apple Contacts vCard and designating itself as "Me" instead of the Contacts card I've used for many years!
This is infuriating and calls into question Apple's security.
I finally figured out that the "Me" card you really want to use must have a Facebook email address entry ([email protected]) and it MUST be labeled with the default word "email". As soon as I did that, Facebook's duplicate, rogue card disappeared from my Contacts.
Why does Apple let Facebook hijack our vCards like that, Mr. Cook?
