Duplicated a case and then program freezes
I made a peogram to look at the file name back and forth in selected folder, seefile.vi. It works great. I also need to do further work following seefile.vi. I created TAB control and duplicated "page 1" as page 2, which is seefile1.vi as attached. Now I can not run it right in Tab control "page 1". The problem is, I can click Next Button once and then when I click it again, it was running for ever (or freezez).
If I delete all content in page 2, it works great again. My question is what in page 2 can cause Next Button in page 1 frozen??? Or I did not figure TAB control right." Please help

Hi,
by duplicating the event struct. from page1 case to page2 you have also duplicated the event specifiers (controls that fire your events), therefore you just have to change the specifiers with Prev 2 and Next 2 on page2 event struct.
Good luck,
Alberto

When I open aperture it opens then after a minute I get the spinning ball and the program freezes
When I open aperture it opens, after a minute I get a spinning ball and the program freezes.
Try holding down the Option and Command keys while opening Aperture. Click Rebuild Database. Dumping preferences couldn't hurt.

I can no longer send photos in an email from my iphone 5. It uploads the photo the the "mew message" page and then it freezes! I can use safari and check my emails, and when the email part is frozen I can still use the rest of my phone. Any advice ?!?
Hi, ireland a.
I would recommend closing any open applications in multitasking and restarting the device. If unfamiliar with multitasking, I have included a screenshot on how to process an application close.
iOS: Force an app to close
Once these steps are processed, attempt to send the photo again.

My phone keeps freezing, the apple sign appears on the screen and then it freezes again and repeats itself.. has anyone had this before? if so, what is it? & it's also not letting me restore it from iTunes, it keeps coming up with error (9) or error (14).. help?
Hi there Holly N,
You may find the troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful.
Resolve specific iTunes update and restore errors
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694
Configure your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, or 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore.

Although I can log in to Blackboard/Elearn, when I try to type information the screen goes pale and the program freezes. I can press the buttons, but I can't type.

None of my addons or extentions work any more since installing 3.6.6. When I go Tools/Add-ons it just goes 'ding' [makes an error noise] when I click on any of the options and then firefox freezes up and I have to go to the task manager to shut firefox down.
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== when i updated to 3.6.6Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry.
See "Corrupt extension files": http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions
If you see disabled extensions that are not compatible on the next start in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the "Find Updates" button to do a compatibility check. -
Apple logo appears and then phone freezes
hi,
my phone is somehow frozen suddenly. i tried rebooting but every time the apple logo appears and then the screen freezes and nothing happens! what should i do? please help!I think it will remove the jailbreak but should not affect the unlock if it's truly carrier unlocked. Warning: many people believe they have an officially unlocked iPhone when in reality it's JB to unlock it. In this case, a restore will relock it.

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise.
I need to upgrade my version of Itunes from version 7 to version 10 or 11.
I go to Help and click on Search for Upgrades.
I then select Upgrade Itunes.
The system starts to upgrade and download the new software.
It gets to 52.60 MB of 56 MB and then it just freezes / sticks and does not go any further ?
I have tried to upgrade on a number of occasions but the same thing happens each time.
Any help please ?Answer is in the original post.

'Normal use' ok ; Gaming = Graphics 'snow' and then Screen Freezes
History is that I'm a PC convert from Nov 05, and happy with the move. Played Civ IV and WoW without problem until around Nov 06. Then Civ IV started crashing; Screen got 'snowy' graphics and then froze. Was within warranty at that stage . Lesson to be had here in extended warranty. Didn't make much of this because I was finished with these games anyway, and 'normal' applications and internet etc use have been fine all along & still are, so just stopped gaming. Now (Feb) decided to get back into WoW. Same 'snow' and 'freeze' problem when open this game, as well as Civ IV, including after reloading software. There is no error message, just the freeze and the 'multi-coloured circle of death'! Things I've tried;
- Apple Software update
- Apple extended Hardware test; passed all
- Clean re-load of all software
- Reset the PRAM
- Minimised the performance settings for WoW, including running in a window; this has extended time before crash from a few seconds to up to several minutes. Not long enough to get to lvl 70!
- Checked that my model doesn't fall under any extended warranty's!
- Downloaded and run 'Rember' = "All tests passed."
- Downloaded 'latest' ATI Radeon drivers from their web (were very old & not a direct match so not sure that this was of any use)
Below is 'stuff that might be helpful', including the log!
Idea's anyone? If it's something wrong with the graphics card then I'd like to know 'for sure' before forking out for a replacement. Other stuff to try?
Thanks, Mike

1.9 GHz PowerPC G5 Mac OS X (10.4.8)
1.9 GHz PowerPC G5 Mac OS X (10.4.8)Yes, it smells like the video card, because it only crashes when running the high-end graphics. Presumably this is because only the games use the video card; if it were another piece of hardware then normal applications would crash too. And because I've done a clean software reload it shouldn't be a software problem.
However, I'd still have liked some greater certaintly before replacing the video card, e.g. some type of hardware test. I don't want to replace the card and then find that I've still got the same problem.
I don't get a grey crash screen, it's just stuck on the distorted last screen shot, with the twirling multi-coloured circle. Then when I turn off the mac it goes black.
Know of some way to 'test' the video card? -
This happened this morning. Firefox seemed to freeze and go into slow motion.
In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties, under System on that small window is info about your OS.

I am locked out of my Itunes. When I launch on the desktop I receive an authentication request from www.podshow.com that I cannot satisfy with password. Actually i don't ever remember giving them a password. When I cannot satisfy the password it locks up my screen. When I went to the website listed I could not satisfy the password to even get onto the site. I am pretty sure it is a feed, how can I delete it and get back into my itunes? I uninstalled and re-installed yesterday- same issue

In Word I get the spinning pinwheel when I try to copy and paste. I can switch to other programs just fine but I can't perform the copy and paste and I need to perform a hard reboot to close Word. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hi Ibo,
This is what just worked for me:
In Finder, I've dragged all Pages files from the iCloud Drive to the Documents folder on my iMac. (Finder asks your confirmation to remove the files from iCloud; confirm that)
Once they were on my local hard drive, the files could be opened again.
It looks to me as if something has changed in iCloud quite recently, leading to this mess. Not the first time, I've had this before. Now it's back. Sigh. And, as you wrote, it renders iCloud fairly useless. Back to Dropbox I suppose. -
Vertical stripes appears and then system freezes
This is a ridiculous issue I am having from last 3 days. It started with nothing in specific but the I suddenly had these vertical stripes about an inch wide on the screen and it froze after that. I went to genius bar and he started the system in safe mode and it runs normally in safe mode but safe mode does not have all the functionality. I can't wrap my hear around this conflict that it runs properly in safe mode and it doesn't in normal mode. The repair is going to cost me a fortune. So, I am looking for some alternative solutions.
P.S: I have done the following things so far:
1. running hardware test - it says everything is okay.
2. wiping of PRAM - in fact did it several times.
3. from some other forum tried fsck too.
The image of the screen is as follows:
http://tinypic.com/r/29uszk9/6Most likely culprit is bad RAM (hardware test results aside). Try opening up your MacBook and pulling out one stick, then the other, swapping them even, and see if you can isolate the problem that way. If this is Apple factory RAM, Apple should replace it if you are still under warranty.
If it's not the RAM, then it would be your graphics card, necessitating a motherboard replacement.
Good luck!
