Duplicated calendar events on Notifications Center

I have recently upgrade my 3GS with iOS 5.  On my notifications center, I am getting duplicated notifications of all my Calendar events on the Notifications Center. I have gone into the Calendar and made sure there is no calendar that is checked and displayed twice, but this still did not fix the problems.  Anyone know how to correct this?

I have the same issue--it's clearly that one set is from Mobile Me and one set is on My Mac. I solved this by turning off all my calendars on My Mac. If I change the Mobile Me calendars, they sync properly. The only bummer is that I can't edit these events on my iPad, but at least I don't have duplicate events! I haven't had the guts to delete the calendars yet, I just unclicked them in the list...

  • No calendar events in notification center (at all)

    Hi,
Since I've updated to iOS 7 (I started with one of the betas), I've got no calendar events showing if I swipe down notification center.
It only shows a text saying "No activities", even though there are plenty of activities showing in my calendar app. I've restarted the phone (hard and soft), I've reset and restored the phone both from iTunes and iCloud. I've made sure that all settings that should be enabled are enabled. The weather and stock widgets are showing alright. I've tried to delete the google account I sync calendars with, and then readd it.
Yesterday I tried to restart from a factory reset. When I add the google account from a clean installation it works fine and I get calendar events in notification center. But I want to find another solution where I wont lose all my data (text messages, application data, settings, etc).
Is there anyone that has an idea on how I can fix this or if there is something else I can try?
    Thank you!

It's not user adjustable. You'll need to use the Calendar app itself for more information.

  • How do I see my all-day events in Notification Center?

I cannot see my all-day calendar events in Notification Center.  How do I change this so that they show without me having to go to the Calendar app to see them?

    What IOS are you using?
    With IOS7:
Settings > Notification Center > Calendar Dy View: ON
then scroll down to INCLUDE section
          Tap Calendar
              ALERT STYLE: Alert
Calendar Alert > choose a sound here
              Show in Notification Center: ON
              Include > 5 items
              Show in Lock Screen: ON

  • Double Calendar events and notifications

    Hello everyone,
I am getting double Calendar events and notifications, that is, instead of getting and seeing one notification/calendar event, I get two of the same one.
Yesterday I was setting up iCloud so it may have something to do with that but I don't know what.
Also, in my Calendar Settings, I have the same calendars listed ( Work, Home, Personal, etc) under "From my Mac" and the another under iCloud.
This might have something to do with it too ...
But I still don't know what I need to do in order to stop getting double notifications and alerts.
    Any ideas, suggestions??
    thanks!!

okey-dokey, and now imagine I have 250 events in calendar
sitting one hour somewhere and changing some of them in such a manner - will make anyone mad... unless he has non-nokia device... mua-ha-ha
Of course it's related to the bug you described (I've encountered it too).
But regarding my initial problem as in header of topic - I'm pretty sure it does exist.
I deleted ALL entries in my Nokia calendar and have been ultimately suprized to hear reminder popping up. I even searched through calendar and alarms to see if anything left by chance. No - both were empty. Presume this bug is somehow related to the second one you described.Message Edited by sidream on 16-Oct-200704:14 PM

  • Unchecked Calendars still show events in Notification Center

in iOS 5, I have several of ym calendars unchecked so they don't always show on my calendar but events still show in the notification center. Is this a bug or am I missing some way to remedy this?

I'm having similar problems with the notification center except I have duplicate entries.  On the calander app I have only selected the icloud calenders. In the calander app all is as i would expect. However in notification center one calander is showing duplicates but the others are okay??????
I find that by entering notification center and clicking on a calander event that appear to turn on thecalanders from my mac when i only want icloud calanders.  Once the dupilcate is on my iphone the duplicate entries work thier way through icloud and back to my mac.  I then have to go back into the setting on my iphone calander and turn off all the mac calanders, thus correcting everything on icloud and my mac.
Notification center appears to have a glitch, or I'm just being stupid.
I tried turning off all calanders on my iphone.  Entered notification center and there were still calander entries showing.  If I click on an entry it takes me to the calander app and the entry is in there.  I then look to see what calanders are showing and it appears to have turned on the clanader for which the entry was made.  As nearly all my entries were made on my mac I can see this being a reoccuring theme.

  • How to choose which calendars are in notification center?

I have just installed Mountain Lion, and am finding that notification center will notify me when someone adds an event on an iCloud calendar that has been privately shared with me. I would rather just receive notifications about my own calendars (and just look in iCal when I want to see the shared calendar). Is there a way to set a preference on this?

    Yes.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • Does anyone know if there is a setting for calendar events in notification view

It feels like that the notification view for for "at-a-glance" calendar views have regressed from ios6 to ios7 in terms of usability and convenience.
The notification center ALWAYS shows the next 6 hours of your calendar, even when it is empty and there is no way to preview individual events/appointments beyond the 6 hours.  This is a waste of space and scrolling.  I know how many hours there are in a day and the empty calendar really isn't useful when I have other appointments for that day that would be much more useful to preview.
I just don't understand why Apple thought it would be a good idea to take up the entire "Today" screen with six hours of empty calendar entries ALL THE TIME.   With ios6 I could quickly get a glimpse of all the appointments I have for tomorrow all in one place from the notification center, before I go to bed.  With ios7 I have to actually open the calendar app.  This is a step backwards.
Things like this really makes the ios7 release seem premature and unfinished.  Minor UI issues I can live with, but this is actually making my smartphone dumber.
    For example: http://thingswrongwithios7.wordpress.com/2013/06/13/calendar-app/#attachment_7
And also All day appointments are no longer visible from the notification drop down.
    See: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1594792

I had the same issue last year.  it turned out to be my Bluetooth earpiece reached the end of its battery life.
When I got a replacement the problem went away.

  • Calendar banner in notification center

While I appreciate the new 'today' calendar feature I much preferred the old way which the calendar events were displayed in a list in the general notification center.  Any idea how to get this back or if it's even possible?
    Thanks.

Restarting my phone fixed it! Now everything appears.

  • Can't see full days worth of events in Notification Center

It appears in notification center that you only see a 4 hour window of events.   In my case, I'm looking at it in the morning and my first event of the day is at 7pm so all I see is a blank calendar. In the old notification center, you could see the next 2-3 events regardless of when they were (including tomorrow).
So the notification center helpfully tells me that I am double-booked at 7pm but I can't see the events because they are outside of the 4 hour window. This is despite the fact that they are the only two events of my day.
Is there a way to change the calendar view in notificiation center back to an an agenda or list view?
    Thanks.

When you set up the mail it has a question as to how long to keep messages on the server. Yo may be able to chafe that setting if you go into the mail preferences, but I don't think you can get the older ones that are on the server. A lot has to do with which mail Application you are using.
    Cheers

  • Old calendar events on notification pull down

This has happened twice now on ios 8.0, I pull down the notifications and I still see old calendar events that have passed.  I can only clear this by restarting the iphone.

Check settings >> notification center >> today view

  • Duplicate Birthday calendar entries in Notification Center

I have many contacts' birthdays saved with their contact info.  This created two calendars: one "Birthdays" calendar in iCal on my Mac, and one "Birthdays" calendar in my iPhone's Calendar app.  I want to keep each of these in their respective places.
    Here's my problem:
Both show up in Notification Center.  For example, my friend Bryan's birthday is tomorrow, and it shows twice in the Notification center (once, pulled from the iOS Calendar; the other, synced from iCal).
I've disabled the imported calendar from displaying in the Calendar app (so I only see iOS's "native" entry listed on my calendar).  But it still shows both in Notification Center!  Any ideas how I can get rid of the duplicate NC entry, without deleting the calendar itself from either source?

    Bump

  • How to integrate sunrise calendar with mac notification center

I've downloaded Yosemite and now I'm trying to get into using the Notification Center but it only seems to sync with the iCal which I don't use. I use Sunrise (chrome extension) calendar and I want those notifications to show up in the Today, Tomorrow, etc view in the Notification Center.
Can anyone help me figure out how to make this work?
    Thanks in advance!

It's not user adjustable. You'll need to use the Calendar app itself for more information.

  • How can I differentiate between calendars on the notification center

I have my calendar, and my wife's calendar on my phone so we can be sure to not double book ourselves.  In the notification center, I can see appts for both calendars, which is great, but how can I differentiate between calendars?  There is no indication that one appointment is mine versus another being hers.  Thoughts?

You can do this face-to-face, or in writing.

  • Duplicating calendar events on windows 8

    Hi,
I have iCloud linked up to Outlook, and Outlook is linked to the Windows 8 calendar app. However, when viewing my calendar on windows 8, I see duplicate entries. But when I view it on Outlook.com, there are only single entries. What can I do? Also, some new calendar events that I created on my ipod have not synced to iCloud. Overall, I want to view my iPod calendar on Outlook and on Windows 8.
    Thanks,
    Ryan.

You have to copy the calendar events to a blank calendar created in the iCloud account.  You can create a new iCloud calendar by going to icloud.com, opening your calendar, clicking the gear icon on the lower left and choosing New Calendar.  Give it the same name as the calendar you are importing.  Then confirm that the new iCoud calendar appears in Outlook (you'll probably have to close and reopen Outlook to see it.)  I'm not an Outlook expert, but I believe you then select the calendar you want to import to iCloud on the left sidebar in Outlook, switch to list view, select all the events (click one, then press Control-A), then drag and drop them to the new empty calendar you created in iCloud.
