Duplicated cells in a form

Hi,
i am creating a form on 12 pages and on this form i have cells over 9 pages with the same name on it. the duplicated cells automaticely rename themselve on the other pages with cell#0, cell#1, cell#2 ...
how can i duplicate cells with renaming the cells automaticely?
thanks

I would look at creating a 1 page copy of the form with fields and then spawning 1 copy of the form page and adjusting field names for page 1 and spawning the following 11 pages.

  • How do I highlight multiple cells in a form?

I created a form in Acrobat X.  Previously, when the customer filled the (Excel) form and returned it, our staff would be able to highlight an entire column and paste it into another software package that tracks expenses etc.  Now, with a requirement of digital signatures on our forms (as well as a few other requirements that the PDF form fulfills), we need to go the PDF route instead fo Excel.  The downside to the PDF is that I can't figure out how to make it so that our staff can highlight an entire column and copy paste.
For example, if it were the table below.  Pressing "select all" in Reader would only highlight the cells A1 - D1 and A1 - A7, the cells that say "TXT ENTERED TO FORM" would not be highlighted.  I would not be able to highlight the cells (like you can in Excel) B2 - D2.

You state that you have "Multiple lines" checked but you don't get multiple lines. Does this mean you don't see visually mulitple lines or you have tested the form and you can't enter in multiple lines? If you are wanting the field to expand as you type, please check out my solution here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/832659?tstart=0.

    Hi,
    Try doing the following
try using the simple 'Button'. In the button's object properties, in the tab named 'field', select 'Control Type: submit'.
Then, in the 'submit' tab in the object properties, choose PDF in the 'submit format' dropdown field.
In the 'submit to URL field' type:
    mailto:nameataddress.com?subject=mySubject&body=Done
You may need to adjust the e-mail address, subject and body text.

  • Contact Form positioning, cells mis-aligned?

I built a contact form and put it up at

For some reason, a couple of the cells that hold form fields

Before worrying about any layout issues, it's a good idea to
    make sure that
your page contains Valid HTML - yours fails that test in a
    number of very
important ways. Please take a look here and fix these errors
    http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.newood.com%2Fcatreq.htm
Then we'll take a look at your alignment issue....

  • Rcvd message re: locked cells while trying to edit a field in my form

I'm trying to edit a field in my form and keep receiving the following message:
"Something unexpected happened and your request could not be completed. Please try again. Why? Some of the cells you have selected are locked. What Can You Do? Unlock the locked cells."
I've been able to edit all of the other fields/cells in this form except for this one. How do I unlock a cell? I searched through all of the options while in the design mode for this field and can't find anything related to locking or unlocking cells.

Found the answer here: View Responses
The issue was with the cell in the table of the view responses tab, not in the design of the form field.

I am trying to link particular cells in a form so the input of those cells are also displayed in a line at the bottom of the form. The line would look like...

  • Pasting spreadsheet cells into a new form with the wizard ???

I must be missing something here. Whenever I try to paste new cells from a spreadsheet into a new form using the new form wizard the 'finish' button doesn't turn active. It's like Livecycle isn't aware that spreadsheet cells have been copied to the clipboard.
When I try to do it manually and create a new form then copy and paste cells into the form I get a grey image (icon?) that is supposed to repesent something, but I don't know what. It is definitely not spreadsheet cell information.
Is it because I'm using Office 2000? Has anyone successfully done this?

I checked in the LC ES help file and it indicates that the spreadsheet option works with 2003 and above. So perhaps it is related to my outdated software.
Thanks for all your help, internet! :P

  • How can I create a new table from a filed cell?

Every time that I fill a row of cells I want to creat a new table with the content of that cells.
    How can I do it?
    Donw here it´s the example.
From the top table, I want to fill these rows, and everytime that it´s done, I want that a new table apears like the cells under.
There is any Way to do it?
In the Spanish version of Number I found in the references formulas, one formula called "DIRECTION" that describes to do this.
But I found no way to do it.
    The above formula it´s this:
=DIRECCION(row; collumn; type of direction; stile of direction; table name)
    Anyone can help me?
    I really need this solution.

    Otto,
Based on the syntax you quoted for that function, the english equivalent is "Address". It doesn't create a Table, but rather it creates an Address that references a Cell, in the form of a String. The common, and only, use that I am aware of for Address is to use it as the parameter for INDIRECT. For example: INDIRECT(ADDRESS)) will produce a reference to a table cell, but it will not produce a table.

  • Problems creating basic forms in DW CS3

Hey I'm having some real headaches here getting my form to
work in DW CS3. Take a look at
www.investix.co.uk/booking-form.html....as you can see I've got my
form all set up with all the text fields and buttons that I need
ready to go and process the form data entered by the user and then
email this form data to me.
Now here's the problem...the form code that I'm using just
won't work! Everytime I enter test data and click Submit button,
nothing happens. I have a booking confirmation page at
www.investix.co.uk/thank-you.html which I want to direct users to
once they have clicked the Submit button.
The form code I've got in DW is below.......so the 2 things I
need to figure out is first how to make this code work so I can
capture all the form data and then have it emailed to me, and
secondly to divert users to the booking confirmation page
(www.investix.co.uk/thank-you.html) once they have clicked the
    Submit button.
I need to get this problem fixed asap guys (like this
weekend!), so I would greatly appreciate everyone's help on this.
Any comments on the overall quality of the website are also
    welcome!

  • Forms in DW issue

I have someone writing the CGI scripts for my forms, but once
he puts his code into my Dreamweaver designed HTML, DW has trouble
displaying them. I usually get a div or td tag in yellow but have a
lot of trouble adjusting the code to make DW display the page well
enough for me to design in it without making the form not function.
I usually have the form span across a table and I noticed that if I

The code you have posted is illegal. You cannot have a form
    tag in one
cell, and other form elements in other cells.
You *can* have a form tag around the table and other form
    elements in the
cells, however, and that would solve your problem, too.

  • Unable to open form in MS Word

I am unable to open a planning form in MS Word. Same form opens fine in Excel. This issue occurs on multiple machines. I am recieving error message "Member not found" Anyone run accross this before??
    Thanks

    Hi
I don't think that this is possible, Planning forms can only be opened by SmartView using MS Excel. To work with them it needs to be able to apply Plannig settings such as security to individual cells within the form and this simply isn't possible in MS Word.
    Hope this helps

  • Copy and Paste from Oracle Forms to Excel

    Hi to All,
I ran into this unusal problem with one user. She is trying to copy data in a cell from oracle form to excel. She does control+c and tries to control+v in excel. The data does not get pasted.
I tried logging into oracle on her pc and do the same method. I get the same results.
We tried copy from the menu bar in oracle and go into excel , menu and do paste. And it does not paste.
I did a test from copy from word document to excel...that worked.
We tried a different pc and everything worked.
Is there a setting in oracle when i do a copy that is not copyin the cell correctly. Any tips how to resolve this problem.
Thanks in advance for help in this matter.

If it only happens on one PC, then usually there is a problem with the PC showing the "yellow bars" when logging into Oracle Forms. Otherwise, there is a more global problem with unsigned JAR files on the server.

  • Can JTable cell acts as JList?

I was planning to create an Event Calendar view in Monthly. Currently my jTable cell extends JTextArea. My problem is that, for example, today I got 2 events display in one cell, when a user double-click the "today" cell, an edit form will pop out, if there are 2 events in one cell, how I know which events to be edit? In this case I was thinking to use JList instaed of jTextArea. so i can choose which event to be edit. Is there any example showing how to implement jTable with jList cell? or is there any other method to overcome it?

I haven't used a JList in a JTable so far, but for a JComboBox you find a working example in the tutorial. That may give you some ideas.
What I did use is a (read only) JTable in a JTable. So if you don't achieve your goal with JList there are alternatives.

  • Merging table cells in Smartform

    Hi ABAP Technical Consultants,
Have a doubt in merging cells in Smart form.
My doubt is -- I have taken one table with two line types. First line type containing 9 columns & second line type containing 17 columns. But First line type first cell width is 1.88 cm & it does not have data and second line type first cell is 1.88 cm & it has some data (This is static data).
Now my requirement is I want to merge " First line type first cell & second line type first cell ". Is it able to do in smart form development?
If you have any ideas and views, please share with me & waiting for your pamper information.
NOTE: Here data is static, not getting data either from internal table nor work area.
    Thanks

If you are using table, then realign the table my adding 2 cells in a row. Go to Main window==> table==> table tab==> click on details.. Now you will get the row details. Choose the row where you wants the merge. Let us consider you wants to merge cell 3 (2cm) & 4 (1 cm). then put 2 +1 = 3 cm for cell 3 and delete cell 4. Note: content will be deleted for this
