Duplicates are being transfered to Itunes

Whenever I add folders (new MP3 songs) to Itunes music, I get a duplicate of every song that has been imported in the itunes mucis folder on the computer. Plus when I sync with my Itouch with the computer, photos are even being synced in duplicate which are not really duplicate files on the cumputer. Is there any way to resolve this problem?

There is probably something wrong with the Envelope Index file. In the few cases I've seen something similar, however, there was also something wrong with the structure of the Mail folder, and we must fix that before trying to re-create the index.
In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. With that folder open, do Edit > Select All (⌘A), then Edit > Copy (⌘C), and paste it in your reply to this post, to let me see the names of the files and folders present at the root level of the Mail folder.
Before actually posting that information, you may edit it so that the file/folder names do not reveal any details you wish to keep private, e.g. you may replace any real username with "username" if you wish; similarly, you may disguise any domain names you don't want to be revealed. Try to be consistent in how you disguise those details, though, as we may need to refer to them in subsequent posts.
Now, go to ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/. With that folder open, repeat the process to let me see the names of the files and folders it contains. Again, you may disguise any mailbox names you wish to keep private.
Finally, locate the account folders within ~/Library/Mail/ -- their name begins with the account type (POP, IMAP, .Mac), followed by the account username and the incoming mail server. For each account folder, repeat the process to let me see the names of the files and folders it contains.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's ~ folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the file path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the file path there.

Purchased items on iphone are not transfered to iTunes

I've purchased some songs on my iphone (it's running ios 5 beta). When I sync the phone with my pc it tells that there are no purchased songs to tranfer but I can't find the file in my Music library.
There's away to get the file from the phone?
I've always bought from iTunes store without problems before.

First you would need to authorise your computer in order to play any media u purchased on your iPhone, click on store on the menu and click on authorise computer. It will prompt you for your apple account id and password. After your've authorised your computer, right click on the iPhone device shown on iTunes and then click on transfer purchase, it will transfer all the purchase on your iPhone to the iTunes library on your computer.
Then you can choose to sync your iPhone with the iTunes library, you can do that by clicking on those tabs shown as you click on your iPhone device on iTunes (i.e. apps, audio, movies etc) and then click check the sync option and then click on apply. IMPORTANT: make sure you back up your iphone before as syncing might erase stuff on your iphone.
After syncing you will find the media files in your home folder (mac) or user/your name/music folder (PC), they are located in the iTunes Media folder in those folders.

Songs are being transferred to iPod in a corrupted manner, please help

We have two iPods in the family, and both are suffering from the same problem with the same songs.
One of the iPods I have had for about three years with no problems.
On many transferred songs, the iPod stops a song in the middle of play and skips to the next song in the playlist lineup. This happens with the same songs on both iPods.
So far, it's only happening on songs that I transferred from CDs. However, these are not newly transferred songs, these are songs that have been in my library for years.
The problem occurred after I recently updated my iTunes to the most current version. To my surprise, iTunes rebuilt the library on my iPods after updating with the new version software.
It is after this re-write that the problems started. I also, around the same time, relocated all of my music files to a different hard drive with greater storage capacity, so I am not sure if this manual moving of files caused any problems.
Thus far, none of my purchased music from iTunes has been impacted.
When I play the songs on my PC from within iTunes, I have no problems. It's only when play on the iPods.
Has anyone else experienced this?
How can I completely reformat my iPods to try and re-write.
Any remedies that I might look at?

I'm having the exact same problems. Many songs sound like utter crap (lots of popping and crackling where there was none previously), and more than a dozen songs are prematurely ending (about 10 seconds prior to the actual end of the song). When I check the play times of the songs on the iPod versus the times my iMac has in iTunes, they're about 8-12 secs off. I've even deleted the songs from both the iPod and iTunes, re-ripped the CDs but the same issues applies. I've also tried cleaning out the iPod completely with iPod Updater.
I hope someone else can validate what MrAceXPS have come across.

Some purchased songs are not transferring from itunes to ipod even others from the same album did.

Originally the songs were only partially downloaded. After completing the downloads to itunes it was suggested to de authorize the computer and then authorize the computer. Still unable to transfer to classic ipod. Even tried resetting ipod.

yeah, a little box comes up that says "the file ------ is not supported by the ipod" or some blah like that, and then theres this little button with a plus sign that you can click on and right next to it says 'see 181 total problems" and then it gives you a list of the things that didnt transfer. other than that, everything is fine.(well except for the fact that my music isnt transferring, of course.) its kinda new-ish, i got it in july, and its worked fine until now.

Only iTunes purchases may copy over via File > Transfer Purchases - otherwise syncing is one way, from the computer to the device. To get the rest of your music/films etc onto the new computer you can copy the backup from your old computer onto the new one and then load them into iTunes

Apps are being transferred back into iPod Touch

I synced to iTunes a month ago and moved apps onto the iPod touch. Last week, I deleted many of those apps on the iPod Touch directly. Today, when I plugged it back in, iTunes tried to copy it back onto the iPod Touch.
Why is it doing this? Shouldn't it be "syncing" to the "new outloook" of what the current iPod Touch status is? Shouldn't it know that I don't want those apps on there?
Can someone tell me how to stop it from happening, because it's syncing over 20 apps and I'd like to prevent it from doing that in the future. Tell me what to press and select exactly on iTunes so I can prevent it from copying it back, it should know I deleted the apps for a reason and shouldn't try to make the iPod Touch what it was a month ago.

How do you "manually drag" your app back to the device when you have "app sync" to off? That's the only reason I have it turned on. I like to "drag and drop" apps from the "Apps" area in Library, it makes it easier than fiddling with the device->apps tab.
Or are you speaking of something different?

No Play List's are being transferred to my IPOD Nano

Everytime I update my Nano, I get the msg displayed in "I-TUNES": "Songs on the IPOD cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exists."
I mistakenly deleted some standard playlist in I-TUNES to make room for my own play lists. Standard Play Lists now in I-Tunes are: On-The-Go, Recently Added, Recently Played, Top 25 most played, plus 7 personal play lists. None of these will transfer into the NANO. It remains blank for any music files or play lists.
I have tried resetting the NANO and also reloading the I-tunes and I-POD software several times w/ out success.
I belive I need to erase the library also but do not know where that file is. Does that play a factor?
Can anyone help me w/ this problem?

Is there a way to prevent apps DLed on my phone from being transferred to iTunes when I sync?

So here's my question: When I buy an app on my iPhone and sync to my computer, why does it transfer it to locally to my iTunes still, shouldn't it just be backed up in the could? And shouldn't this app get deleted locally from iTunes when I remove it from my phone? I just went through and deleted about 10GB of apps that have accumulated over the years from my computer, which weren't on my phone anymore. Seems like a big waste of space to even backup apps to the computer anymore, how can I prevent this?

in itunes, once your device is conected it will appear on the right hand side. click on it and then on the main window you can select at the top, apps, music movies, etc..
that's where you can customize you sync for that device, by checking unchecking boxes.
and this is only for that device. plug another and do the same. and another, and another, as many as you want.

None of my devices are being recognised in Itunes (windows)

I'm having a real issue with Itunes and it's driving me nuts.
I'm trying to connect an iPad and a iPod Nano to my PC, but iTunes isn't recognising it. I've completely reinstalled itunes, by following the steps on the Apple website, but still the issue persists.
When connecting the iPad it shows up correctly in Windows Explorer, but nothing shows up in iTunes
When connecting the iPod Nano it shows up in Explorer and iTunes shows a message saying that the iPod isn't connecting, and then disconnects the Nano automatically from my PC.
I would really appreciate some guidance in resolving this problem

I've tried those articles but nothing's helped.
There definitely seems to be an issue with my PC, rather then the hardware.
It's extremely odd, because whilst the device is connected to my computer (without apple helper running in the background), it shows up fine on Windows explorer. But as soon as I start iTunes, it 'disconnects' the ipod from my PC and shows up with the error message.
I've also tried looking for the 'ipod' device in 'Device Manager', but it doesn't seem to show up there.

Integration Models: what fields are actually being transferred.

Where can i go to find out what fields are actually being transferred as part of an integration model? Specifically speaking what fields are being transferred to APO and back to R/3 in regards to Planned Orders.

Hi,
A faster way to know this is to see the APO Inbound User Exit Master Data fields for the User-Exit Function. For the Product see the Product Inbound User Exit.
For the Product Master apart from Basic Data (Desc, Weight, Volume, UOMs, Alt UOMs ... etc), the Lead Times, Planning Time Fences, GR Processing Times, Procurement Type and Keys, Lotsizes, LotSize Keys/Methods, Safety Stocks/Times/Coverages, Total Replenishment Lead Time all come across to APO Master data. Most of these fields in R/3 are in the MRP1-4 views and Basic Views.
The ALE Settings for CIF (Models) defines whether these Master Data changes come immediately to APO or not.
I am assuming you know this Trnx in CIF setup. (I have to lookup if you do not).
In the User-Exit Code can be written to block the R/3 from Updating APO Fields.
Similar to Products, there is a User-Exit for every time of Master Data in APO. Best place to look for a complete list is here. Another easier way to test is to Populate all the fields in R/3 and see which show up in APO.

Long voice memos not transferring to iTunes

I need help. I have a 3gs 32GB iphone and for all purposes its been working alright, but since i did the ios 5.0 update (now ios 5.0.1 hoping this would solve the problem but no)some of my voice memo's have been duplicated on my phone. Also voice memos longer then one hour are not being transferred to itunes 10.5 running on ios X 10.6.8. Can i get some options please!
another note my ipone's general info says i have 14GB available but itunes tells me i only have 9.2 GB available.

I bought them some month ago so I actually deleted them from my Phone.
I tried to "activate my computer" again to transfer them but ITunes just say that my computer is already activated and that there aren't any titles to transfer.
What can I do?

Since you say you purchased these songs long ago, it's quite possible the iTunes Store no longer carries them.
If that's true, then you're out of luck.
