Duplicates in Tags

After using the new face recognition features in PSE8 I now have several family members that are duplicates in my tags. I had them in there with previous versions of elements and now the new elements has re-created some of them. Only some of them though. Most just were assigned to the old tags that were made by me previously. Anyway, is there a way to combine people into 1 tag? I have 2 tags for the same person, I want them to be the same person. Any way to fix this? Thanks!

Yeah, sometimes the Find People For Tagging creates duplicate tags -- we haven't narrowd down when it does that.
To merge the two tags:
1. In the Keyword Tags pane, check the old tag to show all photos that have it.
2. Edit > Select All
3. Drag the new tag to the selected photos.
4. In the Keyword Tags pane, right-click the old tag and delete it.
5. In the Keyword Tags pane, drag the new tag where you want it in the tag hierarchy.

Do you mean you assigned two slightly different keywords to the same person ? Like personA and personB ? If that is the case, select all persoB, assign also person A. Then delete 'personB' keyword.

What is your title at the moment? It sounds like you need to
test for
each parameter and display a unique title for all
possibilities.
So, if tfm_order does equal ASC, dynamically place "in
ascending order"
in your title, and the same for the order by parameter from
the
querystring.

Duplicate Title Tags - but one product in multiple categories?

Hi there and Happy Friday!
I'm an SEO newbie so please forgive my ignorance on all this.. but I'm confused
I installed Google Webmaster Tools and it says I have lots of "Duplicate title tags"
"Your title provides users and search engines with useful information about your site. Text contained in title tags can appear in search results pages, and relevant, descriptive text is more likely to be clicked on. We recommend reviewing the list and updating the title tags wherever possible."
But - these Duplicates are coming from products being in multiple categories.
E.g Vanilla Diffuser oil is in This catalogue and This one and This one too - so our customers can find it easily on our website.
As we do fragrances we have the catalogue for the product (Diffuser oils - where all the oils show)
+ the catalogue for the fragrance name (Vanilla and Coconut - where all products in Vanilla Coconut fragrance show)
+ a catalogue that shows all products so customers (and us) can easily see everything on one page to order.
Am I supposed to ONLY put products in ONE category then do something different to make them show on different pages? Sorry for my ignorance on SEO - I'm finding it such a mindfield...
Also if anyone has the name of a fabulous BC SEO expert they'd recommend that has helped their site i'd love to know.

Webmaster Tools only shows you areas that may be a concern and just because it shows something it doesn't mean your ranking etc will be affected. However, if you are really concerned you should look at canonicals. You can read more about it here http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=139394. Basically you are telling the search engines whichj is the main version of that product so simply show the product url in the main catalogue.

How do I hide duplicates in tag view in finder

In finder, when I use tags, I see duplicate copies of many files. I have the iCloud version, the local copy in ~/Library/Mobile Documents, the local copy on my other machine in /Volumes/<other-machine-home>/Library/Mobile Documents, and another path to that other machine at /Volumes/<other-machine-HD>/Users/jason/Library/Mobile Documents.
I have a similar problem for dropbox synced files (but without the iCloud version).

You can't really "hide" content within the iTunes interface, though at a push you could mislabel some of your Music tracks as Audiobooks if you don't mind the wrong content showing up in that section of the library.
Perhaps if you tell us the primary reason for wanting to hide things we might be able to suggest an alternative approach.

Duplicate TITLE tag?

I use iWeb together with the RAGE SEO tool. They create meta tags in lower case. For some reason, meta tags (TITLE, DESCRIPTION, and KEYWORDS) are added to my HTML code after the site gets served up. So, I have no way to go to the FTP site and remove them. They cause duplicate title errors in Google. I wonder where they come from???

Yes, I believe I wasn't quite clear in my question. The mystery here is that there are meta tags added to my site without my involvement. Have no idea where they come from.
The code below came from my site (http://www.ethnicyum.com/). I never create tags with capital letters nor do the tools that I use create them. But somehow they are still added - not to my file on the FTP server, otherwise it would be easy for me to remove them and I wouldn't have to ask this question

UPDATED: Trouble with duplicate div tag...

I am working on validating the code for my blog now as I
think that might solve some of the issues I am having. I was able
to clear out all of the xhtml errors except for one... a duplicate
sidebar div tag. One of them is at the bottom of the header file
and the other is at the top of the sidebar file.
My first thought was just to delete one of them so I tried
that and it validated. Problem is that it screwed up the layout on
my pages in Safari and Firefox when you do a search or look at any
of the archives, etc.
So I deleted the other one and it was worse.
I think this issue is what is making my search results and
archive results load below the sidebar... so it obviously needs to
be fixed, but Im not sure how.

Try leaving the duplicate tag in, but renaming it to
something that is not a

Duplicate input tags generated

JSF appears to be generating two elements for
one startElement/endElement pair.
Using JSF 1.2/Tomcat 6.0/Eclipse 3.3.2
I am writing a simple custom tag: an input field, a button, and

The problem is that the last method, encodeOutputField, appears to
be invoked twice, ie, there is an extra <input> element generated
with exactly the same id. And, the page displays okay (with the
extra <input> element with NO complaints about duplicate id).

I am Getting some doubt from you answer , These three are your component you know , this component will not call default EncodeBegin() method , it will call those method Encodebegin() which you wrote . then how you are saying UIInput class generate automatically one <input> tag . if you think so, there should 6 component totally because in your form totally 3 component so your encode method will create 3 component and then default system encode method will create 3 component .

How to read duplicate XML tag?

Currently I am working on XSLT transformation. I encountered a problem when I have to read a random number of xml tag with the same names.
sample:

My xslt can only manage to read the 1st row. How can it be possible to read all the 3 rows?

The product is produced from another source dynamically. Hence the list can contain from 1 to any number of products.

Duplicate SPAN tags are not new in V9

Contrary to the broadcast announcement about the new DLL being offered, the SPAN tags problem is not new in RH 9. However, what I've seen is more of a random insertion process (going from one or two instances in a topic to a dozen or more) than one of SPAN duplication for the same string.
I've encountered the issue in 8.0.2.208, and have simply removed them in the code and saved the topic before exiting HTML View. Just another adorable little RH quirk...

I copied the version 2.0 folders ('catalogs' and 'catalog folders') to 'C:\Users\All Users\Adobe\Photoshop Album' overwriting the ones created during the program installation. Here I supposed that there are no changes in file structure in those files

What's the best way to resolve duplicate contacts and batch edit?

I need some advice. I want to consolidate my contacts, remove duplicates, add tags, and then sync them across applications (Addresbook, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.) going forward. I'm finding many challenges and it seems there's not an easy way to do it.
Addressbook
* will not let you go through and review/edit/approve how it resolves duplicates
* manually finding/fixing duplicates is tedious - there's no drag and drop from one contact to the other
Yahoo Mail
* will let you review/edit duplicates
* has a tedious interface and requires importing/exporting files
* when adding a new contact doesn't always let one add a group
* no longer has a "find new contacts" feature that would auto populate new cards - so anyone's address that I rely on auto-fill from recent will not have a card yet
Gmail
* I don't have any contacts there yet.
Palm
I originally had all my contacts in Palm and there's a lot of old "X-Palm-Category1:" etc in the notes, which actually make good tags, but are hard to edit to something like "tag:business". I can if necessary try to use Palm desktop 4.
Bento
I have Bento 3 and I've tried using it to clean up some of my Addressbook contacts and start "tagging" my contacts to make searching easier. The problem there is that I can't find a way to batch process contacts. I also can't seem to add line breaks in the notes. So in Addressbook I can add tag:123 and tag:456 on separate lines, but not in Bento so any AB card edited in Bento shows it as tag:123 tag:456 on one line
Excel 2004
I have exported most of these contacts into Excel spreadsheets. (Bento will export the Apple AB into a spreadsheet). Attempting to compile and clean data in spreadsheets has it's own set of issues. In particular, the data are not laid out in columns that can be easily copy pasted into one template. For example, Yahoo contacts allow the label for the phone number to vary for the phone column instead of putting home, work, fax, and mobile numbers in separate columns.
iPhone 4
I also have an iPhone but it oddly enough doesn't display any smart groups, and it doesn't even display the phone's default "unsorted" folder. I can only find a new contact added from the phone after syncing it back to the MBP and looking in a smart folder I made for it.
Other than hiring a data entry temp to fix this as a project, can anyone think of something that I could use/do to make this easier?
I would appreciate any and all suggestions.

I found out I sometimes have three or even four versions of the same file.

How to remove tags from a folder

I have reset my tags, but I still have a few folders that will not allow me to remove the colour tag. On other folders I simply clicked the X in the coloured dot to remove the tag, but a few the opition is greyed out. I also tried checking and unchecking the tag colours in the Finder>Preferences menu.
These folders that seem to be affected at the ones I had originally tagged with the old system where it highlighted the whole text.

I solved my own problem.
The "Blue" tag was a duplicate tag from the old system. So I had two blue dots with different labels. To fix it I right clicked on the old blue dot in the left side bar of finder and deleted it. I did this for all of the duplicate coloured tags.

According to the error messages, it might be caused by that there are duplicate <DbProviderFactories> tags in the machine.config files. As Satish’s post, please remove empty element DbProviderFactories in the following files.
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Config\machine.config
However, if the error still occurs after that, it might be caused by that the SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is not installed properly. I recommend you to design the table via Transact-SQL. Alternatively, you can reinstall the client tools from installation
media.

Export to EXCEL directly via SystemCommand?

Im Using a SAP-Desktop-Link to login automatically, start a transaction, passing values to dynpro fields.
That works Fine.
The mylink.sap opened in an texteditor looks like this:

is there a way to pass some output formatting option to export it to excel and save it on the harddisk?
something like

Using RFC or Sap Gui Scripting seems to me a way overkill for such a simple task.

If you only need this on view level, then have a look in your context node and reimplement the methods of the Excel Export Interface with an authority check infront of them. This will keep you modification free.
Doing it in the view is much simpler though.
If you write your ABAP in the view and check for business roles in it, it will only come active for the business roles specified...
I suppose you will have to duplicate the TAG and put an IF statement around:
