Duplicating iPad calendar events

How do I duplicate a specific event iPad calendar (ios8), and move it to multiple non-regular repeating events in the future?

  • IPad calendar events are showing as the previous day

On my iPad calendar, events (daily ones rather than specific time ones) are showing as the previous day e.g. Bank holidays are showing that they are a Sunday rather than the Monday. The dates are synced from Outlook which is correct as is my iPhone calendar (synced from the same source). Pretty confused why this is happening and a touch annoyed. Have tried looking at settings but nothing strikes me as being incorrect e.g. I'm on British GMT.

If you use iCloud check the settings on the icloud website on the right top corner. Sometimes the settings are wrong and the hole sync fails.

  • Ipad Calendar Events unsearchable in outlook 2003

Found a weird glitch today I wanted to see if anyone else has seen this.  I was doing a search in outlook 2003 running on exchange server 2010 for a few calendar events, i realized that events with the same spelling weren't showing up.  Then I figured out that the only ones missing are the ones I originally entered on my Ipad.  If you look at the date on either calendar they are there but if you do a search for the event it can't find them.
I have another computer with outlook 2010 and I connected to the same exchange account and when I did the search there I found the events BUT what is weird is they show up sorted apart from the rest of the search results under a catagory called reoccurence none, even though all the other items are also reoccurence none.
This is pretty scary because I use my calendar to bill customers and I almost missed a BUNCH of events because they were entered from the ipad.  Anyone else having this problem?
    Greg

  • I Lose My iPad Calendar Events

Every 3 to 4 weeks or so, I lose my calendar events on my iPad 1. But they always come back in 2 or 3 days. Any ideas?
    Thank you,
    Tim Burak

Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar and be sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default and not something else like On My iPad, a Google calendar, etc.  If you haven't, make this change, then add a new event and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.
If your settings are correct and new events still aren't appearing on icloud.com, add any missing calendar events from your iPad calendar to your calendar on icloud.com.  Once the calendar on icloud.com is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPad when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then after a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On.  Then add a new event on your iPad and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.

  • Microsoft exchange removed from Ipad (Calendar events problem)

I have taken off Microsoft exchange account from Ipad.
now all the emails & contacts with taken off auto as well beside calendar events.
How can i removed all my calendar events as well?
    Thanks,

If I may reply to my own question, I have found the solution.
In Settings "Mail, Conacts, Calendars", if you scroll down the the bottom, there are some Calendar settings, one of which is "Sync".
This sync setting allows one to restrict the syncing of previous events from 2 weeks ago through 6 months ago to All Events.
Changing this setting to "All Events" made no immediate difference to my iPad calendar but after I deleted my Exchange account and then recreating it, all my events back to 2001 reappeared in my iPad calendar.
I guess that this sync setting has a default in iOS 5 to that in iOS 4./

  • IOS 5 iPhone duplicating some calendar events when iCal events on iMac have no duplicates

I've searched in vain on these forums but can't find a problem quite like mine.  I am running
    - iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1
    - iMac with Lion OS X 10.7.2
I was using iCloud for all my calendars but found that my phone battery was draining very quickly, so decided to go back to using the iMac to sync to all devices.  I exported all my calendars (seven of them) from iCloud through iCal/File/Export/Export, and then imported them as new calendars.  I deleted my iCloud account on my phone and iCal. I then synced from iMac to iPhone and all went perfectly, except for my primary calendar (typical...).
All events for all calendars appear perfectly in iCal on the iMac.  But  my primary calendar, on my iPhone only, has duplicated nearly all the events in it.  There doesn't seem to be any pattern to those events that AREN'T duplicated - some are annual, all-day recurrences, some are one-offs.
I've tried deleting the cache and the plist from the iMac library (even though, yes, the iMac iCal appears to be working perfectly), then resetting the iPhone, and resyncing - using the 'replace information on this iPhone' option for Calendars.  No luck.  I've tried re-exporting the calendar from iCloud, then re-importing, then resyncing to the iPhone.  Each time it duplicates on the iPhone, but not on the iMac.
Weird - and this is driving me mental.
I'm guessing the calendar might be corrupted or something - is there an equivalent plist or something that I can try deleting from the iPhone?  This has gotten beyond my skills!
    Pleeeeaaaassssee heeeelp!

    Update:
I ended up going through the duplicate entries on the iPhone and manually deleting the second entry in each instance. I re-synced to iMac, and the duplicate entries stayed deleted, and nothing appears changed on the iMac calendars.
I then synced iPhone 3GS and iPad 2 to iMac, doing the same process with the calendars.  I noticed that I had missed one duplicated entry on my iPhone originally, and that this had transferred to each of the other machines too (ie they all had two identical entries for the same thing) (but not on the iMac, still).  Deleted the second of the duplicates again on the iPhone, synced everything, and it was gone from all.
So all in all, not a brilliant fix, but a successful one nonetheless - although it remains to be seen whether the duplicates will reappear at some point, as I've noticed other users have had that problem in some circumstances.  I'd love to hear if anyone has any brilliant thoughts regarding this, though.

  • Ipad Calendar Events Overlap and Almost Impossible to See

On an iPad when some events overlap in the calendar they are nearly impossible to see.  There is an appointmetn at 9:00 but it shows as very "washed out" since the earlier appointment overlaps.  This shows the same on a newly setup iPad as well as an existing one but with iOS 7.1.1.  I did not blur out the second appointment and it is barely readable.  Anyone know how to fix?

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

  • Ipad calendar events are one day early

    Hello,
I recently switched over to iCloud. And now all-day events are one day early on my iPad only. The dates are fine when I look at iCal on the web, and they're fine on my Mac Pro and my MacBook. I tried resetting the iPad, and it didn't fix it. The time zone is was set to automatic, I tried setting it to manual, but still no change. Any other ideas?
    thanks!
    Joe

All of my dates are out by one day in ical (and address book). I can change them manually (best advice I could get from Apple), but it keeps happening to me. Any help appreciated, I have 10.8.6; macbook pro, iphone 4s and am frustrated. This seems to be a common problem but I can't find a fix.
In the post above advice is to go to itunes, "info tab", Advanced...but I don't see an "info tab" -
    Thanks for any help!

  • Syncing iPad calendar events with iMac calendar?

I just entered my schedule for the next two months on my new iPad thinking it would transfer to my 24" iMac calendar, but it did not. In iTunes there is a box to check to completely remove everything from my iPad and replace it with info from my desktop, but how do I merge the info? Or get the info I enter on my iPad onto my desktop? I would appreciate any help anyone can offer.
    Thanks for your time.

Yes I thought I did. IIIaass, You're saying the information you entered on to your iPad synced and showed up or transferred to iCal on your computer? And all you did was checked the right box on iTunes? If you would, do you mind telling me exactly what option you checked to make that work? I would be eternally grateful. I thought I explored all the options, but maybe I missed one.
Thank you for your time and assistance IIIaass,
    Kindest regards,
    David

  • HT1692 Any IPad calendar events I enter disappear.  Any help?

Just got an ipad.  Entered numerous calendar entries.  They all disappeared.  Not fun.  Any help?

This is happening to me, also, on my 1st gen iPad.  It started happening on 5.0, and it continues to happen on the last one I installed, 5.1 (9B176).  Also reported by Jensen here:

It would be nice if we could find out whether this has been logged yet with Apple as a bug.

  • TS4118 How do you get rid of duplicate calendar events on iPad?

I just synced my iPad with my MacBook (which I do all the time) but this time, it resulted  in duplicating all my iPad calendar events (events do not appear as duplicates on my MacBook).  This happened immediately after I enabled iCloud syncing of my calendar.  I have now disabled Icloud syncing and I just synced my iPad with my MacBook again.  The events are still appearing in duplicate on my iPad.

iTunes settings for iPad and iPhone are independent.  If your iPhone doesn't have duplicate entries, check your settings when plugged into iTunes, then use the same settings for your iPad.  But, it really sounds as if you've simply enabled calendar syncing directly from your Mac when it's plugged into iTunes.  This will then update your iPad's calendar with whatever's in your Desktop calendar when you plug it in to iTunes.  Uncheck this setting in iTunes when you next have your iPad plugged in to sync, and the duplicates should disappear, leaving only those events pulled down from MobileMe.  The plug in sync option is for people who don't use MobileMe.

  • Can't create Calendar Event from Mail on my iPad anymore

I no longer can create a new iPad Calendar Event from tapping on a date in email I receive.  The new Event dialog box will still appear when I click on the date in an email, but the dialog box is now too small and off-center, hiding the Done button in the upper right corner of the Dialog. Without the Done button, I can't create the new Calendar Event.  I can't resize the dialog box, or re-center it.
Is this a common problem after the latest iOS update?  Can anyone help?  Thanks.

This still works for me in iOS 6.1.3
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
