Dear Sir
I want to explore CS73 display BOM to excel and second i want where used list for several items.In CS15 it shows 1 material which not acceptable.i want to know which material is used in BOM or not used and even i want to explore CS73 to excel.please guide

Hi kunal,
If you want to explode the BOM to view its details like viewing components of BOM, you can also use transaction code CS11, CS12 for material BOM and CSP1 & CSP2 for WBS BOM, from where you can export it to excel sheet.

Hi sandip,
Have you used the CopyExpress or Changer Add-ons?
I've seen the error in corrupted DBs after using one of this add-ons. Usually, upgrading to a later patch solves the problem. Please try it in a non productive system and see if it's the solution for you.

FI - PM Asset code / Material Id

Hi guyes,
Pl give clarity on the following :
1. Do we need to Creat material code in PM module where FI has also created Asset ID for that asset.
2. If no, how do PM module keep a track of a particular machinery/item and movement of the same.
3. If yes, we feel, it is duplication of code for one machinery/item in PM as well as in FI.
Is there any other issues in relation of maintaining material code in PM & maintaining asset code in FI
What is a standard practice to maintaing records of machineries in PM & FI in SAP.

Yes, you can treat that as an asset,
Basically the procedure is as follows,
We can create as an asset till the plot is under construction, finance can treat that as an asset under construction. Once the plot is constructed then you can assign the asset number. After that you can do asset retire so that asset is no more.
Then you can sell that product based on plot value.
But however i can see one issue that asset depreciation and how to capure the correct asset value.
As per the standard asset properties FI will be doing asset depreciation but where as in your case plot value increases.
Check with finace when you go for a solution.

Using SumIfs to add up multiple names in a list

Hi, I've been wrestling with Numbers while trying to get on top of my bank account (tax return due soon!).
I have all my transactions in a big list, and wanted to be able to show how much was spent on certain items, based on keywords. I also wanted to be able to easy change the date ranges that were returned, so created an extra table with a "date FROM" and "date TOO" field.
Using SumIfs() I've done most of what I wanted, using the following formula:
(in this case only adding up transactions with "ADDISON LEE" in their description field)
=SUMIFS('Debit ',Source,"ADDISON LEE*",'HSBC Advance - Current Account' :: $A,Date FROM,'HSBC Advance - Current Account' :: $A,Date TO)
This works great, but for some fields, I'd like to return multiple items based on more than one String match (so for mobile phones, search for "O2" and "T-mobile". Right now, if I add a second string comparison argument, like this...
=SUMIFS('Debit ',Source,"O2",Source,"T-MOBILE",'HSBC Advance - Current Account' :: $A,Date FROM,'HSBC Advance - Current Account' :: $A,Date TO)
...I don't get an error message, but the resulting value is always zero. I think I know why it's doing this - the SumIfs function only adds values if all arguments evaulate to TRUE. Since the String matching can't be TRUE for both (for any one item in the list), it doesn't evaluate any of the items being a "match" and doesn't SUM them.
So, what I'm asking - is it possible to add a logical operator to the formula so it evaluates (like an OR) as true if ANY of the named strings are found?
This is so much easier to do with Javascript - and real programming languages

Thanks Jerrold, yeah I figured that was one way of doing it - the downside being it makes for a lot of duplication of code - and a long formula. Is there any way to nest an individual evaluation so only the end result of that evaluation is matched by the AND logic?
In javascript, for example you could put something like:
=SUMIFS('Debit ',Source,"O2" || "T-MOBILE",'HSBC Advance - Current Account' :: $A,Date FROM,'HSBC Advance - Current Account' :: $A,Date TO)
with || being a logical OR operator. I think there might be some way to do this in Excel using VBA, but so far I'm stumbling with Numbers.
Wish there was an alternative to using the excel model of formulas I can happily work in Javascript or C, but this confuses the heck out of me!

Templates: created pages have different html

I'm using Dreamweaver MX04 (7). I have created a template
from an HTML page. When I go to apply that template to a new HTML
page, the resulting templated page has goofs in the HTML that were
not existing in the template's html. For example, sections of code
are sometimes duplicated or sometimes code is jumbled together. I
have recreated the template twice trying to solve the problem, but
each time I get either a code duplication or code jumble, and not
always in the same place.
I thought it might have been my comments added into the HTML,
so I took them out, but I still get the same results.
I can email the template to anyone who thinks they can
help.

Show me the template, and the resulting child page, when this
happens,
please.

Modular Frustrations

OK,
about 8 months ago we decided to use Adobe AIR as the application framework for our Customer Admin workers. So far it has been extremely successful.
Our customers see a flex app in a web page and our workers see an AIR application on their computers.
In order to reduce duplication of code we share a lot of components between the AIR and flex applications. So far this has been an extremely excellent choice, and our customers on the web site are able to see exactly the same view as our admin workers. However I now seem to have hit a show-stopper.
The admin app has very advanced functionality compared to the client app, and sometime one worker will have several hundred clients linked to the same view as them. The admin app can then send instructions, via a server, to the client app to load an external swf. The shared component in both the admin and the customer app then show the same loaded module. This module is loaded from an external content managed server and can not be distributed with the air app. The admin app can then instruct the loaded module to perform certain operations - here in lies the problem - the web app can easily communicate with the loaded swf and we see it do what the admin app has told it to do, but the AIR app is completely prevented from talking to it, except it seems through the sandbox bridge. Unfortunately this means that the loaded swf suddenly has to be different for either app - one uses a sandbox bridge and one doesn't.
This is appalling :-( I can see no way forward and suddenly we have to rethink our whole technology decision. What annoys me most is that we KNOW that the only swf's that can be loaded by the AIR app (which is completely under our control) are safe ones- we control them too.
How do I solve this? Currently it is completely beyond me.
Please allow AIR to let down its guard a bit if you tell it to. Otherwise we will have to use something else...

Since you know the SWFs are safe, you can load them with the URLLoader class as a ByteArray object and then use Loader.loadBytes() to inject them into the AIR app. To do this, you must pass a LoaderContext with allowLoadBytesCodeExecution=true.Note that older versions of Flex had difficulty with this technique, but I believe they have been resolved. I've asked the engineers for clarification on the Flex support issue, but in the meantime, here are some links that might help:

Using external files in flash

tried to use two external text file (bill.txt and les.txt) .when I
click on bill button ,the flash file load bill.txt and when I click

J explique mon probleme, je fais l acquisition de 32 signaux analogiques que je dois afficher et enregistrer
Pour cela j utilise une structure producteur consommateur.
Dans le producteur je lis mes signaux et je les affiche avec des 5 graphes deroulants.
Dans ma boucle consommateur, j enregistre les signaux a la frequence d echantillonage d entree et je les reechantillone pour les enregistrer a une frequence d echantillonage plus basse.
Mon probleme est que j ai beau mettre n importe quelle valeur de sample to read avec n importe quelle frequence d echantillonage, j obtiendrais toujours le message comme quoi mes donnees ont ete ecrasees au bout d un moment. Bien sur ce moment change en fonction de ces deux parametres. De plus lorsque j observe la consommation de la memoire avec le windows task manager, elle augmente tout doucement jusqu a obtention de l erreur.
Je ne pense pas que cela vienne de la taille de mon buffer vu que la taille de ma RAM augmente au fur et a mesure.
Je me demandais si cela ne venait pas de boucle consommatrice qui consomme trop le processeur et empecher donc de lire le buffer correctement. et donc si il ne fallait pas utiliser un cadencement. Si telle est la reponse, j aimerais savoir ou est ce que je dois mettre ce cadencement, dans la boucle consommatrice ou productrice?
Et si ca ne vient pas de ca de quoi cela peut il venir?

Alors... Il y a pas mal de chose à dire, je vais commencer par un petit conseil général : il faut éviter de faire de diagrammes trop grand, ça complique la lecture et le débogage, pour cela il faut faire des sous-vis, bcp de sous-vis! En outre, cela permet d'éviter de dupliquer du code.
Je ne comprends pas très bien l'utilité d'enregistrer 2 fichiers, un avec toutes les données et un autre avec les données sous échantillonnées, pourquoi faire ça?
Pour ce qui est du cadencement, je ne pense pas que le problème se pose de cette manière. La boucle d'acquisition est cadencée implicitement par la fonction d'acquisition (si Facq = 10kHz et nb de point = 1k, la boucle va tourner à environ 100ms, un poil plus lentement lorsque "start acquisition" est vrai, car il faut mettre les données des 32 voies dans la queue, en passant 32*8*1000/1024 = 250, un bloc acquis représente 250kByte). Je ne pense pas que le problème vienne de cette boucle.
Dans la boucle "consumer", il y a quelque petites maladresses :
- la multiplication par le ration est faite 2 fois et sur chaque voies (une fois avant l'affichage et une fois avant l'enregistrement)
- l'indexation et la concaténation des tableaux de voies n'est pas nécessaire
- l'enregistrement n'a pas besoins d'être dans une boucle, la fonction "write tdms" accepte les tableaux de waveform en entrée
Pouvez vous en dire un peu plus sûr l'erreur qui se produit? Dans quelle boucle, après combien de temps, etc... et surtout quelle est la cadence à laquelle la boucle "consumer" tourne effectivement, si elle met plus de 100ms pour s'exécuter il y aura toujours un moment où le système va manquer de mémoire la queue se rempli plus vite qu'elle n'est vidée...

Xsd Imports of common xsd

Ok here I go trying to find a work-around.
Yet, we are a consumer of a generic ws -- we are provied DTDs (multiple) and all DTD's reference a common dtd..
I am able to generate xsd's yet each xsd still reference through the use of xsf:import the common xsd ( I will call the common xsd "A") and the rest will have applicable letter.
What am I trying to acheive:
By using Jaxb - Generate the code base of "A" and have the rest of the xsd utilize "A" package and code base.
I can generate "A"'s code base, yet how does one reference "A"'s xsd and stop the duplication of code for say "B" which uses a xsd:include ?
This will have us on duplication of code and reduce our jar size, and decrease build times...

Some more carity for you:
We have the common "A" which is a xsd:
xsd(s) B,C,D refernece through an xsd:include "A"'s xsd.
When we genereate the Jaxb code base, "A"'s classes are generated in each of B,C,and D packages (duplication of code)..
I want to generate "A" only once and have B,C,D's xsd reference "A"'s xsd yet not to duplicate "A"'s code base...

La séquence événements n'a pas changé, j'ai juste déplacé le contenu (génération de ta tension) dans un autre boucle pour éviter d'avoir à dupliquer du code. Je n'ai gardé que le pilotage d'un enum qui définit le mode.
NI-DAQ est grisé car je ne voulais pas enregistrer de fichiers. Il faut bien sur que tu réactives cette condition.
V_act = V actuel. C'est la tension actuelle, entre vmin et vmax. j'ai mis un afficheur pour la voir bouger, si t'en as pas besoin tu peux bien sur la virer.
Pour les différentes conditions de la boucle du bas, regarde le code c'est assez clair. Soit on attend, soit on fait évoluer V (avec ou sans pause), soit on quitte.

How to find JSP syntax Errors

Dear All.
I develop JSP in EP environment by NW Studio, I fond it is difficult to find JSP syntax Errors when I wrote the JSP, I ever view EP log, but the information is so general, it only told me "Error occurs during the compilation of java generated from the jsp" and so so, I can't find more detail information , could you tell me how can I find the syntax Errors quickly?

The error should be somewhere in the log or trace file.
Try default.trc in Visual Administrator (Log viewer) to look for more detail.
Another possibility is to look for plugins that are compatible with NWDS and that can (pre)compile JSP's. Anyone....?
In general is it is wise to keep your JSP's small, so use jsp:include (or page include) where possible. Also to avoid duplication of code. Indentation also helps to keep code readable.

In order level no duplication of material code

Client requirement: In order level he is entering minimum 100 line items per order.Any duplication of material code came in same order on that time system has to taken to that line iteam and changed the quantity .
01    x      100 quantity
02     y       50   quantity
03     z       80 quantity
when ever the X material come next time in same order i dont want one more line item. If I enter X material code in same order automatically 01 line item has to come .here i will change the quantity as a 150
01    x      150 quantity.
why because its very difficult to find X material in 100 line items.Client strictly telling he dont want second line item as same material X.
This is Standard SAP not possible if anybody face this type of situation before give me the solution how to face it . If any Development requires please tell me the logic.

My suggestion is specific to your comments

here i will change the quantity as a 150"
whereby, if you follow the first suggestion, definitely it will work. The end user has just to input the material code and execute. System will automatically go to first line item of that material code.
For example, you have maintained a material ABC in line items 50, 70 & 100 and in VA02, if you follow the suggestion what I have proposed, system will by default, go to line item 50 only, where you can make changes as per your requirement.
On the second suggestion, as you said a sale order contains some 100 line items in which the material ABC is flowing in line item 20, 60 & 90. What the end user have to do as a one time job is that based on material code, they have to sort the data in excel format so that in the excel sheet, you can see for material code with preceding tabs line items 20, 60 & 90 continuously.
Your job is to develop a BDC with just three fields of course, the input data has to be sale order reference. The format can be
Line Item:::::Item Code::::::Quantity
If the end user would like to change the quantity of ABC for line item 60 instead of 20, in the BDC template, they have to maintain the line item as 60, material code ABC and quantity xxx.
Why dont you make a try with the option cited first ??

Duplication in vendor code

hi,
i am facing problem due to duplication in vendor code. Two codes are existing for one vendor and transactions also
done through each codes.
Is there any way to transfer all the financial transaction form one vendor code to another in order to keep only one vendor code. can any one help in this issue ?

How to handle Duplication in records using PL/SQL Code

I have table
Table name: PM
and with fields wo_no, wo_descr, pm_no, current_date
wo_no is a Primary key.
I am enter data in this table through loop (Many records at a time), when I press a Button. Data is as under in table.
wo_no          wo_descr          pm_no          current_date
1          cleaning the relays     2          12-DEC-04
2          calibration           3      12-DEC-04
Now the problem is that when I again press the button at second time on same time, the following data will be entered as
wo_no          wo_descr          pm_no          current_date
3          cleaning the relays     2          12-DEC-04
4          calibration           3      12-DEC-04
So this is not required, instead of this when I press the button second time a message will appear like duplication of wo_descr, pm_no in same date
I am using form 6i, please send me the code on urgently basis.

Its business need to be decide which tax code is going to be used for service & which tax code is duplicate one for service.But before deleting any tax code or your duplicate tax code for service ,the business team and user must ensure that no transaction data available for that tax code.
For above you need to study complete business process, prepare document for tax code deletion ,get approval and then proceed.
