During MI07 Post Differnce, can we control Movement Type authorisation?

Dear all
During the MI07 to post difference during physical inventory, users are asked to choose  the  Movement Type with Reason Code:
(a) If it is a gain, use the reason code for movement type u2018701u2019.
(b) If it is a loss, use the reason code for the movement type u2018702u2019.
However, in the MVT reason code list, there are many many MVT Reason Codes available for users to choose.
I have checked in PFCF for Tcode: Mi07, there is no authorisation to control MVT.
How do we do that?
Please advise as I do not want user to choose from the wrong MVT.
Thanks for everyone in SDN!!

Hello,
Are you saying that you were able to restrict the pop up for reason codes to show only 701, 702 even thought you had other reason codes maintained for 101 etc ?
If yes, can you please tell me how you achieved that. Im in a similar situation.
Thanks

  • Post to Returns stock with movement type 632

    Hi all,
I have configured SD Customer Consignment for my client. When consignment goods come back from the customer Movement Type 632 is used en the goods are posted in unrestricted use. My client want these goods to be posted in the Returns stock. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Movement type 651 posts to the Returns stock. Where is teh actual setting made that this movement type posts to Return stock. Can anyone explain to me how this works.
    Thanks in advance.
    regards,
    Roel

Have tested your scenario- Just now.
Though you can change the mov type in sch.line cat, but it acts like as normal return scenario, so you will be loosing the track of Inventory available @ Customer as part of Consignment.
Still, if you change the mov type, you will not be able to perform PGR for Consignment Returns in VL01N,its becasue that, special stock indicator-W in item cat:VOV7.
    FYI,
Sales doc type - Item cat -- SCh.line Cat- Mov type

  • Mm:can we assign movement type to different g/l acc.

    dear gurus.
    please help me out.
can we assign movement type to different g/l acc.
    if yes how?
    thanks
    piyush singh

Its depends , if the valuation class, plant is different, yes you can define diff G/L acc, but if all criteria in the same, then you can copy the mov, type and then define your own account modification then assign the diff G/L acc in OBYC.

  • How can i add movement type with newly created warehouse

    Dear expart
In my SAP below messgae is showning at the time of pass the
    transaction code :MIGO
"WM movement type 101 not allowed foe warehouse ABC"- How can i sovle the problem .Plz tell me the SPRO.
    Yeasin

    Hi,
You can define WM movement type in V_T333:
SPRO > LE > WM > Activities > Transfers > Define Movement Types - here you have to define WM mvt 101 for your WH ("ABC").
    LE-WM Interface
SPRO > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > Define Movement Types - here you can connect WM reference movement type to IM mvt and then WM mvt to WM reference mvt.

  • Mov Type - Authorisation Check

    Hi Everybody
I want to control my mov types thru the Authorisation check ie Suppose there is a Log in "x" , and I dont want to give hime  the Atuthorisation of mov type 551/552 under mb1a Tcode but rest all Mov types can be used by him .
Pls advice how to go ahead for the same
    Rgds
    Manoj

    Manoj,
This can be controlled by std authorisation object check. This will be given by basis in PFCG transaction. The setting in the relevant authorisation object example M_MSEG_BWA has to be provided.
The movement type will appear as one of the parameters while a specific authorisation for a transaction is given. The movement type could be restricted here.

  • Transaction OMJJ - Control Movement Types

    Hello Listeners,
I have been presented with an issue from our auditors as to the access to Movement Types 501 and 561; they would like that these movement type not be available to the users
I have identified all roles that contain the field name BWART (movement types) and have updated all the security roles and removed movement types 501 and 561
The auditors have presented screen shots using transaction OMJJ that identifies these movement types as being available in specific transactions
    Can someone explain the use of transaction OMJJ in regards to movement types;
    I am thinking that this transaction can be used to control what transactions may execute specific movement types or be used for user defined movement types; however, if I have removed access to 501 and 561 in the actual roles, then what is defined in OMJJ can be misleading since execution of said movement types would fail at that time;
Am I correct in my assumption or am I missing something?
    Thanks

    Thank You for the responses
I have found out that the settings that I see when I execute transaction OMJJ are what was delivered with the installation of SAP; I reviewed this with the developers and no one was aware of making specific changes to these entries; I have determined that my assumption of controlling the Movement Types within the security roles is in fact controlling who has access to what movement types, regardless of what is in the information of transaction OMJJ
To allow for movement type 561 (501 has not been determined as a need), which has been used during "conversions", I have defined a specific role with movement type 561 only which can be distributed to users on an "as need basis"; any entries that are defined with OMJJ out of the box remain as is
I also believe that OMJJ can be used in defining "new movement types" as was mentioned in one of the responses
I will mark this question as "answered"
    Thanks everyone

  • Error when posting an goods issue of movement type 501: order not contain

I tried to post an goods issue of movment type 501 to a stock transport order. But I get the error as below.
Document 4500000130 does not contain any selectable items
    Message no. M7 064
    Diagnosis
The document or item entered cannot be adopted.
    Possible reasons for this are:
The document items have already been processed
    (Suggest zero lines indicator set?).
the document items have been deleted or are blocked.
the document items have been created for a different plant.
(for reservations only) movements are not yet allowed for the reservation items.
(for reservations only) the document items are retrograde components of the order. These are posted using the order confirmations.
The document is an R/2 document.
    Procedure
Make sure your entries are correct.
If the system has already processed the total quantity, you can set the Suggest zero lines indicator. The system will suggest the quantity zero for the items that have already been processed.
If you have entered a particular item, cancel the item. If you do not enter an item, the system searches all of the open items in the document.
If the document is a purchase order, production order or a reservation, you can enter search criteria in the dialog box.
You access the dialog box by choosing the menu option Enter with reference on the initial screen.
If the document is an R/2 document, you have to cancel it manually by entering the reversal movement type.
How can I proceed to post?
    Thanks,
    Eda

    Hi
Go to T.code MB1A, enter the required movement type, Plant and storage location and then click,
The push button of  Reservation on the tool bar for refereing the reservation or
The push button of  order  on the tool bar for refereing the Production order.

  • Can we define MOVEMENT TYPE

    hi,
    SAP Gurus,
i want to know can we define or copy MOVEMENT type
with our own reason.....for e.g 561 to Copy my own movement typelike 701 reason very poor quality.....
please if there any solution please let me know......
    thanks in advance....
    Helpful ans will be rewarded......
    ragards....
    Sunil Rathod......

    Dear Sunil,
Steps To Create New Movement Types in SAP:
How to create movement types? What are the steps involved? When will you recommend a new movement type?
Companies may request a new movement type to differentiate between the inventory posting transaction.  For example, 551 scrap movement type.  Some company may request to have it as 551 for Internal Scrap and Z51 for External Scrap.
    Copy, Change Movement Types
    4.6x
Assuming I want to create another movement type Z01.
    Transaction OMJJ
Select the standard movement type 201
Click copy, then overwrite the 201 with Z01
Click the Enter button, then click Copy all
Select the new movement type Z01
On the left hand column screen, click Reversal/follow-on movement
Fill in the reversal movement type
For the rest of the options, you can leave it alone or change it depending on your requirement

  • Issue with posting change note processing using movement type 309

while processing Posting change note using transaction LT05, i am getting error 'Available quantity is less than selected quantity'. we need the quantity in posting change note to be picked from same storage bin from where it has been picked during transfer posting using 309. currently, it is showing all storage bins in ascending order for selection while Posting change note posting.
if we reqwhile mass porcessing of Posting change note using LSMW, it pickes the 1st storage bin. if 1st storage bin quantity is less than selected quantity of PCN then it is showing above error.

    Hi Vishal,
The materials are managed by batch? Please check the batches of the material in the different storage bins. SAP asign the storage bin taking into account the material batch number and the oldest quant.
When the storage bin is not indicated, SAP looks at the batch number, and goes to the storage bin where this batch for the material is allocated. If SAP find more than one storage bin, SAP consumes from the batch that has the oldest quant.
I really dont understand deeply your question.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards

  • Can we use Movement Type other than 653

    Hi all
we are using movement type 653 for material which are being returned by customer.
we dont want to create FD ( Free of Chagre)  Sales order against the returned delivery.
    Problem
The Return Delivery is being showed in VLO6  transaction,(outbound delivery),we dont want the return delivery to get displayed in this transaction. Is their any other transaction we can use inplace of 653,in order to get material in unrestricted stock as well as the delivery should not be get displayed in the transaction.
I have created the new return delivery type (By copying LR) and at the time of runing the T-code VLO6,I exclude that delivery.
In this way the delivery is not being shown.
If there is any other way to slove this issue please let me know.
    Thanks
    Siddharth

The "Return Delivery" is being showed in VLO6
       transaction, "(outbound delivery)"
Not sure on this.  When you say you created a return delivery, how it is appearing in outbound delivery list.  For information, standard movement types in SD for returns are 651, 653 & 655 and transfer the blocked stock to unrestricted use with movement types like 453, if you wish to do so.
But strictly speaking, all returns will have to be addressed in QM and only after their clearance, any returned material should be reused.
    thanks

  • Movement type authorisation for different storage locations

    Hi sdners
can we make the movement type restricted to any storage location
    Ex: i have 2 storage locations 1110 and 1114 in plant 1100
and i have two end user mst1 mst2
if so i want to make sure that mst1 is responsible only for issue goods from 111o
and he should not able to issue goods from 1114 vice versa to mst2
is there any possible configuration please let me know.
    With regards
    S.K.chaitanya

    Hi
u can achive this through authorization
    First
You need to activate the storage location authorization check for goods movements in config
SPRO->Materials Management->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory->Authorization Management->Authoization check for storage locations.
Then required  control is achieved via authorization object M_MSEG_LGO.
Get in touch with Basis and ask him to remove required storage location from user ID so that that user will not able to pass any movement to that storage location
