During sync my ipod freezes when copying angry birds app
During sync my Ipod freezes when it tyies to update the angry birds app. I cannot get past it and therefore cant finish the sync. can anyone help me?
Dry deleting the app from iTunes and redownload the app and then sync.

I just got the iPod touch 16gb. When I try to sync videos to the iPod, it will ultimately stop and give me the error about disk not be read from or written to during syncing. In addition, when the iPod charging battery logo and the whole screen for that matter go blank, iTUNES displayed an error message of Device has timed out. Thus, I have to close and reopen iTUNES to sync new music or video files. This didn't happen with my iPod video 30gb. It seems like the device times out so quickly. It is annoying. Anyway, please offer any suggestions. Thank you.I'm having the same synching problem. It looks like file size is a factor. Most of my music library transfered over ok, but only after I de-selected podcasts and videos.
The movie file I'm testing with is 1.2 GB. It gets about 7/8's of the way, progress stops, and then a dialog opens saying that the disc can not be read from or written to.
When moving just music the Touch consistently gets through 263 songs (2.38 GB) of 275 songs (2.70 GB). It seems to miss the long audiobooks.
Interestingly my 1st gen 2 GB Nano is also having the same error "can not be read from or written to" when I synch my podcasts. In disc mode I can copy over the 1.2 GB movie no problem.
Any help would be appreciated. I would really like to stick some movies on the Touch.

My wife and I both have the iphone and we use my macbook pro with iTunes to sync our ipods. When I do something on my iPhone it shows on hers. How do I set up her a seperate iTunes acct on my mac so she can operate independent of me?
There's info here on setting up separate libraries and user accounts. You won't have to reload (or re-import) all the music, just copy it.
The reason I suggest separate accounts on the Mac is because if you have the two libraries under the same user account, iTunes will also open the last library that was open in that account, and you'll always have to be mindful of which library that is. If you open iTunes and find it's not your library, you'll have quit, relaunch holding the option key and select the other library.
No, you won't have to log in and out of the Mac. (If I'm understanding your question here.) Multiple accounts can be logged in at the same time. And with fast user switching, you can toggle between user accounts.
I'll admit that maintaining the two libraries gets a little tricky, because if you share all the same music, you'll have to add it to one and update the other. (That won't happen automatically.) But I think Home Sharing makes this much easier to do.

I'm trying to figure out why my macbook keeps freezing when I try to drag my data across to it (even small files from a USB).
I've had to force restart over a dozen times today :/

HozThanks - I had a 1TB hdd in my macbook for about 12 months but it started playing up a few days ago (I got the question mark folder on bootup) so I bought another 1TB hdd (same model) and started from scratch.
My macbook is an early 2010... now I'm wondering if Yosemite is a bit too much for it?
The ext hdd is my timemachine backup, so yes I have used it often and it has my TM backups - and the usb is a new usb which Ive used a few times.
The issue seems to be when Im transferring files from an ext drive to my mac. I can use it fine and browse (worked find for 45 mins) then I tried to bring my data across.. and it copied a few gig over before total freeze.
This has happened about a dozen times.
I keep running disk utility and checking the disk. I also just ran the apple diagnostics tool that came in the apps cd - the hardware apears to be fine.
I have a 250 gb partition for the OS and the rest is my second partition for data.
I'm now wondering if I should reformat the first partition, install leopard from the CD, then upgrade to mavericks and leave it at that.
Any thoughts would be awesome. Thank you for reading and replying!

It sounds like you need to set it up, and that makes sense because you said that its a new iPod. Just go through the steps of setting up a new iPod and you should be good.

i freaquently go jogging with my ipod video and it freezes almost everytime i do. no matter what i do my ipod freezes when i jog with it. does anyone know how to keep it from freezing while jogging?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the iPod, jogging and other erratic movement can cause tracks to skip occasionally.

Everytime I run my IPOD freezes up. I can reset it but only while standing still. It runs fine after being reset until I start running again. I have tried with and without hold on but it doesn't seem to matter. I have already had to have my IPOD reformatted by Apple once. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do to prevent this. Supposedly the IPOD was fine for running.
My iPod freezes when I run too. Since the original iPod I was usuing lasted 18 months, even in Iraq, I decided that it was normal wear and tear so I purchased a new iPod. However, this new iPod didn't even make it a 1/2 mile before it froze. I reset it twice and it froze again each time. This is really disappointing and I cannot beleive that Apple does not do anything about this. I can't even get a support tech to talk to me. I have contact the state's attorney general's office to see if there are any other complaints. They stated that a class action lawsuit can be a poosibility if enough people join together.
I was very happy with the iPod and even solicted other users but this to me is unacceptable. Apple should advertise that the iPod can not handle a simple task as running. They obviously know about this problem but refuse to acknowledge it b/c of the potential to lose so much business as everyone using an MP3 player to run with. -

Most, if not all, of the Angry Birds apps are not universal. The HD iPad versions won't sync to your phone, they are for iPad only. If you want the iPhone versions, you have to purchase them separately.

I have a strange issue where the Mac App Store always shows an update available for an Angry Birds app I have never downloaded on my Mac. Everytime I click on it for update, it gives a strange Username for which the update is available.
This is the username that comes up when I hit "Update"... I noticed this problem exists on my friends iMac too and it is the exact same email ID that shows on the screenshot above.
Please help.Just to make sure, open Mac App Store and click Purchases. Can you pause the download and restart it?

Hi, I downloaded the Angry Birds app and it downloaded and installed without any trouble but immediately crashes when I try to start it. Any clue as to why? Has anyone else encountered this?
I'm running a Mac Mini with OS X (10.6.6) with a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 3 GB Ram if that info is of any use.

i tied to sync my ipod to the itunes but, the apps wont sync it just says the apps will be replaced with the ones on the itunes library,but there isnt any apps on there, i deleted all the apps after i use to use the library for my old iphone helpp, the ipod used to be synced with a another i tunes libary that i have deleted now

You can only sync with one ITunes library. It you switch iTunes library iTunes will erase the iPod and replace it contents with what is in the library of the new computer. -

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. Just to clarify, if you are referring to the Angry Birds app for Mac OS X, then stevejobsfan is absolutely correct. Mac OS X apps and iOS apps are not the same. However, if you are referring to an Angry Birds app for iOS in your iTunes library, then you can move that onto your iPad in iTunes. Connect the iPad, select it in iTunes and click the Apps tab near the top of the iTunes window.
