During Upgrade /ASU/UPGRADE problems

Dear Expert:
Amost at the last of the Upgrade r/3 4.7 x110 to ECC 6.0...
at the phase REQ_POST_ASU_RUN it prompt message as below:
To perform the manual application-specific post-upgrade steps,
start ASU Toolbox now, to do this,use transaction /ASU/UPGRADE.
For more information, see SAP Note 1000009.

Cancel
and next I logon source system with DDIC , and use tcode /n/ASU/UPGRADE.
and it prompt chose task list,but there is no task list??
what should i do next??

Hello Chris,
-check for space characters in path or filename
-check environment variable DIR_PUT
-check why your system searches in F:\usr\sap\put\bin\SAP (why directory SAP, the xml file should be directly in ../bin)
-use the newest ASU-content-definition from note 1000009
-the filename must be in upper letters
check note 1299978

Problem during Upgrade 10.2.0.4

Hi Gurus !!!
During upgrade from 9.2 to 10.2 we have install 10.2.0.4 patches and now we are ready to call dbua (upgrade assistant).
When we call dbua an error occurs :
./dbua
Error message
Failed to load Main Class: oracle.sysman.assistants.dbma.Dbma
We've check enviroments variables and all are Ok.
Any ideas ?

You also need to set the JAVA_HOME environment variable.
For unix after login to the oraSID user
setenv JAVA_HOME /opt/java1.4(java location may differ check in ur system)
then check the version of the java with command java -version
if still you are getting the error
check the metalink
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError [ID 359067.1]

10.4.6 upgrade problem = Photoshop crash

Hello,
I upgrade Tiger on 3 PowerMac G5 from 10.4.5 to 10.4.6 without problem during upgrade install.
Now when the graphists works with Photoshop CS, it crash ("Le programme a quitté inopinément" => "Program has quit...") when they save documents opened from fileserver (Appletalk). Fortunately, the modifications of the document are saved.
The document is open from an Appletalk Sharing Directory (Linux Fileserver with netatalk 2.0.2).
We make several tests with different files, on different macs, in different situation (where the file is open, where it is saved).
If the document is open from the computer and saved to the fileserver or on the hard disk : no problem
If the document is open from the fileserver and saved to the fileserver or on the hard disk : photoshop crash.
The problem appear only with Photoshop CS (I test Illustrator and InDesign) with any type of file (PSD, TIFF, ...).
I think there is a problem with Mac OS 10.4.6 update.

It is strange. Are you sure you have no problem at all, the problem seems to come when in Photoshop you open a file from the appletalk network and save it anywhere.
To upgrade, I downloaded the Mac OS X 10.4.6 combo (PowerPC) and install it on 4 Mac, I don't use Automatic Updater.
With the solution, I give in my last post, I manage to resolve the problem on one mac, on the second one, I had problem when I copy the system directory and now I can't connect to appletalk...
When I resolve the problem, I have :
In "About your Mac" > "More Info" > "Structure" > "Software" > "AppleShareClient" (and AppleShareClientCore) : version 1.4.4 in place of 1.5.1 (Mac OS X 10.4.6).

MGC 7.4.12 - 9.4.1 upgrade problem

I'm doing MGC upgrade testing, and have the following problem:
ACTIVE MGC - 7.4.12
STANBY MGC - 9.4.1 (upgraded from 7.4.12 according procedure from CCO)
When I start 9.4.1 it becomes STANDBY, but with following errors in the paltform.log:

Switchover is not working:
SROF /* MSO refused, Warm start-up Failed. */
If I shutdown 7.4.12, 9.4.1 becomes OOS and then ACTIVE after processes recovery. Then, I bring 7.4.12 up - it becomes STANDBY, and switchover 9.4.1->7.4.12 works. After switchover 9.4.1 goes to OOS and then to STANDBY but with the same errors. And switchover 7.4.12->9.4.1 is not working again.
Any ideas ? I tried to do that with and without patches - same result.

That's my goal :)
But to do that I have to manual switch-over from 7.4.12 to 9.4.1 during upgrade.
It looks like.
- upgrade StandBy 7.4.12 host to 9.4.1
- switchover from Active 7.4.12 to 9.4.1 (9.4.1 becomes Active)
- upgrade new Standby 7.4.12 Host
- switchover
- at this point I will have two 9.4.1 hosts
Second step does not work. I can switch 9.4.1 to Active by shutting down 7.4.12 only. It drops all active calls. I don't want it.

[SOLVED] Gnome 2.26 upgrade. Seg faults during upgrade.

I have an huge problem...
Yesterday I've tried to update my ArchLinux and I've got seg faults from gconf during the upgrade and my gnome won't start.
Nautilus, gnome-settings-daemon, etc... All of them with seg faults.
Anyone with the same problem?

I tried rebuilding the schemas according to the instructions found inthe bug
report:

but I still get segmentation fault. These occur at the points indicated below in
the snip from the command output:

Migrating BADI defn during Upgrade to ECC 6

During Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6 , we are encountering a BADI Definition in SPAU list.Please let me know the procedure to handle this. Is it the same way as we migrate Classic BADI to ECC 6.0 New BAdI->Enhancement Implementation?

Hi Experts,
I would like to know the best practices followed to handle workflows during upgrade.
1. Do we need to terminate all the In process Workflows i.e. Workflows which have not completed the entire cycle ?
2. How do we overcome such problems . Any best practices which can be adopted.

Error during Upgrade from 4.6c to ECC 6.0

Hi All,
We are facing an error when upgrading from 4.6c to ECC 6.0. We are facing this error on the table COEP - runtime object inconsistancy. What we found is there is ERP upgrade has created new extra fields in the table. In log file the error is specified as : Duplicate Field name, But we not able to find the duplicate field name in the table. Please kindly help as early as possible. The upgrade process is stuck.
