  • Error in SM59 TCP/IP connection after kernel upgrade to 215..

    Hi
We recently upgraded our kernel to patch 215(NW 7.0)..
We built the kernel by first taking the entire kernel stack( level 201) and then  patched it with dw, enserver, lib_dbsl, tp, r3trans, r3inlpgm, saposcol with level = 215 except for lib_dbsl, which is 214 and enserver which is 207...
After the upgrade to this new level, we have a SM59 TCP/IP connection which calls an RPG program located in /qsys.lib/..(start on application server radio option), which has stopped working...
Now this RFC doesn't work anymore...
When we test it, it shows us the following:

This error may be due to kernel patch level. You can try some other patch level. If you can raise an OSS message with SAP, they can tell you exactly which Kernel patch will solve your problem.

  • Connection Test MDX PARSER - Error

    Hi,
    I'm installing BPC 7.0 Netweaver.
When I test Connection MDX PARSER rfc in SM59 we get the following time out error:
    timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=456 Timeout dur
    ERROR: timeout during allocate

Have anyone an idea solve this issue? Any input welcome!

    Hello Brian,
    Good Day!
I am also having the same problem and read the same note. But in my case I can't seem to register librfc32.dll in the application server.
This is the error message "C:\WINDOWS\system32\librfc32.dll was loaded DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file cannot be registered."
    Here is our system details:
    ECC 6.0
    SAP_BW 700
    SAPGUI 710
I am hoping someone will be helping us.
    Sincerely,

  • Can't release transports - timeoutduringallocate/CPIC-CALL

When I try to release a transport, I get the message:
    >Could not start transport control program tp (TP608),
    >There was an attempt to start the transport control program tp using the local RFC interface. An error
    >occurred here.
    >
    >Error code: 4
    >RFC error text: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'
It suggest running SMGW, but that gives me the message. Gateway monitor is deactivated
I also ran the check transport tool:
    >timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=456#Time out during connection setup (check that partner exists
    SM21 shows:
    >Communication error, CPIC return code 020, SAP return code 456
    > Conversation ID: 05807275
    > CPI-C function: CMSEND(SAP)
    >Tp call failed (RFC RC = 4: RFC message = timeoutduringallocate/CPIC CALL:'ThSAPCMRCV':cmRc=20thR...)
456 means: Timeout during conn. setup
I've upped the timeout of gw/cpic_timeout to 2 minutes, and still get the error.
In SM59, the RFC trace shows:
    >**** Trace file opened at 20090511 212541 Pacific Daylight Time, SAP-REL 700,0,1
    >======> CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=456

    >Timeout during connection setup (check that partner exists)
    >Error RFCIO_ERROR_MESSAGE in abrfcio.c : 1817
So, I've looked at the destination CALLTP_WindowsNT - it exists in SM59.  I checked the program location is correct and exists - and I ran it in a windows console.   I did a connection test in SM59 and got:
    >timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=456 Timeout dur
    >ERROR: timeout during allocate
    >LOCATION: SAP-Gateway on host SecureBI / sapgw00
    Any suggestions?
    thanks
    matt

Hey, nice to see you are doing some real SAP work too, and not only moderating here (just kidding - keep up the good work).
I suggest you check first if your gateway is up and running. Check the dev_rd trace file for errors (either in SMGW, ST11 or directly in the work directory). Try to telnet to your gateway :
    cmd> telnet host1 sapgw00
    Trying 10.2.0.1...
    Connected to host1.
    Escape character is '^]'.
    Regards, Michael
Edit: you can also check if you see the process gwrd(.exe)

  • Unable to open SAP Screen Painter on the current desktop.

    Hi,
Whenever I try to open Screen painter through SAP GUI I am thrown with an error message "EU_SCRP_WN32 : timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'". This error has been occurring since I have changed my workstation. When I use my SAP login ID on a different desktop, screen painter is working fine. This means that the problem is not with the SAP login or the SAP server, the problem lies with the GUI or current desktop setting. Please look into this issue and help resolving this issue. Please revert if any further information is required.
I have already tried/checked the below steps:
    1. Reinstalled SAP GUI.
    2. gnetx.exe and eumfcdll.dll is already present in my system.
    3. I have checked the setting, Utilities->Settings->Screen Painter->Graphical Layout Editor (Checked)
The issue is when is tested the RFC conection " EU_SCRP_WN32" it gives me the below error.

    Hi,
Normally the problem is with the program ID does not match with the one in the PI integration server, or the host and the gateway is not pointing to your PI server.
    PI server
    1. Go to your PI integration server transaction SMGW
    2. Goto -> Logged on client
    3. Click on column TP name and sort it accordingly.
    4. Check the correct program ID registered over there
    Back End system
    1. Go to your back end system transaction SM59
    2. Match your program ID in your back end RFC destination with the program ID registered in PI gateway.
    3. Make sure the host and the gateway name of the PI server in RFC destination is populated correctly.
It did happen to me before, and this is the way to solve it. I am sure it works for you too.

  • TCP/IP RFC destination problem

    Hi All,
During the RFC destination creation, im using TCP/IP connections.. So please tell me what should be filled for the following fields:
    Program
    Target Host
    Save as          Hostname  Ipaddress
Please let me knw what should be the required steps, since when i had provided some information in these fields and tried to test; it gives the following error:
Error Details     timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=456 Timeout dur
Error Details     ERROR: timeout during allocate

    Any valuable help?
    Thanks
    rohith

    Dont worry
Sender Port is not mandatory. Only the target port is mandatory
    In SM59,
-Have you given the connection type as 3
-In the Target Host, give the IP Address of the target server
-System Number is to be filled
-Now, go to the Logon/Security tab,
    -Give the language
    -Client
-Username and Password of the destination server
    -Now. Save it.
    -Test Connection.
    Hope the information is helpful

If any one of you already have this file. Please share with me.
    thanks

    Hello Ingo
Thanks to read my problem and for your reply, I have already read that SAP Note 1032461,  I  have the same problem as clearly defined in the note, and suggesting to put LIBRFC32.DLL file in <windows-dir>/system32 folder.
My SAP ECC and BI7 (Kernl 7.00) is installed on 64-bit, x64 Windows Server 2003 Enterprise. I need to download that file from RFC library available on SAP Market place. But, I don't have any super user rights.
If someone has similar setup and has already that file or could download for me. I need to get that file. I appreciated your kindly help.
    thanks

    Dear All,
we encounter the same error related to an installation of a BusinessObject XI R2. A connection between the BO server and a BI (NW2004s) has been established successfully. The error occurs during the import of a query in Crystal Reports.
Thanks a lot for any helpful comment.

    Hi my friend
    1. Create a TCP/IP Connection RFC <connection> in SM59:
    activation type: registered server program
    program ID: <program>
    2. Create an ini file in directory /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile with content:
    DEST=<connection>
    TYPE=R
    PROGID=<program>
    GWHOST=<hostname>
    GWSERV=sapgw<nn>
    RFC_TRACE=0
    Regards,

  • SAP RFC connection to Vertex

We are facing a problem in getting RFC connection to the Vertex from SAP. We have set up Vertex and we want to make a physical connection through RFC but we are facing erros when we test the RFC connection.
If you would have given us the error message it´s much more likely that we would be able to suggest something. A wrong RFC configuration can lead to a hundred different errors so giving the exact error message really speeds up things

  • Why cant burn dvd message says there where  errors durring project validation

when I try to save as disc image I get a message that says errors durring project validation and wont let me burn my project used to work fine.can anyone help

    Hi
    My thoughts.
    • Free Space on Your Start-Up (Mac OS) Hard Disk - How much ?
    • Brand of DVD used ?
    • Type of DVD used ?
    • Video-Codec, photo file format and Audio file formats used ?
There is so much that can go wrong - so we need a lose end to start to unwind the problem.
