Dust in iphone 5 camera lens

is there any way to clean dust out of the iphone 5 camera lens?

Yes, but doing so, will void Warranty. This will be covered by Warranty. Make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution.

  • Large dust particle inside my iPhone 5 camera lens

I have a couple of large dust particles inside my iPhone 5 camera lens. How do I get rid of them?

If it's actually inside the lens, you can't.  Bring your phone while it''s still under warranty to Apple for evaluation.

  • Why am I seeing dust inside my iPhone 5S camera lens?

I don't have a case for my iPhone 5S and I do carry it in my jeans pocket. I am also not a messy person. So today I noticed something -- there's clearly some dust inside the camera lens (the one in the back.) When I shake the phone it rattles around. How in the world can it get there? And is there anything I can do to get it out?

Not unheard of, look to your right under "More Like This" for related discussions.-->
You have a 1 year warranty.  Take it in and let Apple look at it.  Back it up first.

  • Iphone 6 camera lens has become opaque inside

I woke up this morning and my iphone 6 camera is discoloured on inside-opaque and white. When I try to take picture it doesn't show what im pointing the camera at, only a white blurry blobby image. It worked fine yesterday, and I haven't gotten the phone wet or placed it in anything wet in the last few days either. Over a week ago I accidentally put phone down on a table that had moisture on it from the condensation from someones cold glass. But camera has worked perfectly and has still had a clear image up until this morning..and if it was that, you'd think I'd have seen some evidence of moisture in the last week and a half.
    >Does anyone know what may have caused this?
    >Has anyone else had this problem?
    >Can I get the camera fixed, or am I better off going to an apple and trying to get a replacement?
    Hope someone can help!!

Good news! Took my phone into the apple store, none of the sensors showed any liquid damage (not even the one next to the camera area), so they gave me a new iphone 6!! They did say that it definitely looks like some sort of liquid though, and that I'm lucky as it is a new type of phone so new problems do pop up, but also in future apparently they wont be allowed to open the phones up-if it looks like liquid damage, then it'll get treated that way and the person will have to pay to fix it! So thankfully I got in before that starts. They couldn't tell me how only the lens got effected as the camera is completely sealed...so I'm not sure how to avoid it happening in the future :/ If they didn't replace the phone, I wouldn't have paid $399 for apple to fix it-my insurance with telstra means i'd pay $70 and telstra would send it away to get fixed.

  • Iphone 5s camera lens rattle

    hello my friends
My problem is when I shake the iPhone's voice coming from inside.
Even when I kept all the buttons
I feel this is the sound of the camera lens
Even when the vibration noise is heard
Is there a problem for everyone?
    I am an obsessive person

when i shake mine i hear it as well but my power button is really loose and i think thats what it is not the camera lens

  • Dirt under my iPhone 5 camera lens

Recently, I found tiny specks of dirt under my back camera lens. Eventhough, it is not a problem to the camera at the moment due to the focus. I think that in the long run it will eventually appear visually visible on my pictures taken with my iPhone 5. Therefore, can anyone tell me how to fix it. Also, It seems that there is an opening somewhere that the dirt got into, so I wonder if apple will replace it cause I think that it's likely to be a defect.

They will fix it most likely for free. Technically dirt cannot get inside unless it was during the manufacturing process. Take it to the nearest store but call them first to set up an appt.

  • Iphone 6 camera lens cracked

I have the iPhone 6 with that "awesome" sapphire camera lens, although I dropped it slightly below pocket level, when i was locking my apartment door. It landed on my doormat, which isn't the softest, but not has hard as the concrete. Everything was fine, but very minor scratches to the back, top left corner and one small nick on the top of the lens that sticks out... and of course the lens cracked in half.
You can't tell in pictures unless there's a strong light shining directly into it.
Does anyone know if this is covered under my Apple Care+ or how I can fix it?
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate any responses.

According to http://gizmodo.com/5846658/new-applecare%252B-for-iphone-dropping-klutzes you just might be covered. Take it to Apple Store and ask them.

  • IPhone 6 Camera Lens

Just a general comment that with the iPhone 6  and iPhone 6 Plus now having a protruding camera lens
and has buttons on both sides, how do Apple propose to fix the inbuilt level
indicator within the compass app now that the phone will not sit flat on the
surface or on its side? For the sake of <1mm I would rather have a had it
slightly thicker and a larger battery.

To my knowledge, Apple doesn't specifically list the camera lens on iPhone 6.  Here's a link to repair costs.  You'll need to contact Apple directly to get an answer:  https://www.apple.com/support/iphone/repair/other/

  • Is iPhone 6 camera lens cover sapphire?

hey guys. Since the camera on the iPhone 6 sticks out, is the lens cover made from sapphire? So it won't scratch.

  • Dust inside iphone 5 camera with no warranty

What am I supposed to do?
Never take any photo with my phone?!!
Or spend hundreds of dollars to fix the camera? (I probably could buy a new phone with that much money!!)
I found the dust after my warranty expired, and I was told apple won't help me to fix it.
I never had any problem with my iphone4, which is a great product by Jobs. The iphone5 is very disappointing. You have to use a case to protect it from scratches. Many people found dust inside their cameras, luckily some found that problem during their warranty. I couldn't believe apple would deliver a product with so many problems to us, at least Jobs wouldn't.

During that one year period, I will assume the dust accumulated while being in your pocket.
I had a iphone since the 3GS and now a 5S and had a few dust in my camera lenses, but nothing that would impede me from taking good quality pictures.

  • Dust under iPhone 5 camera lense, no warranty

My iPhone 5 has recently acquired some dust under the camera lense, which shows up in pictures. My applecare has run out, have I got any chance of getting any help from apple? I've read some threads saying they got it cleaned out at the apple store, is it possible they'd do this for me, even though I'm out of warranty?
    Thanks

Based on your iPhone's camera lens being cracked, it appears your iPhone needs to be serviced. • Is there dust inside camera lens of iPhone 5?

I bought my new iPhone 5 on 28th of September from a local Telco.
Today I noticed inside the camera lens there is dust.
    I'm very disappointed

I'm seeing the same thing on my iPhone 5. I just noticed it today so I don't know how long it's been there (got mine on launch day). Here are some photots I took with my iPad (only other camera I had). I have not noticed anything on any of the photos I've taken with the iPhone but, then again, I haven't done any extensive testing either.
Not sure what I'll do about it (closest Apple Store is 2 hours away and, again, haven't noticed anything on the photos I've taken).
