You have to take your phone to a Nokia Care point. They will be able to remove the dust off your screen.

If another person or company serviced your iPad, your warranty has been voided.  Apple will do an out-of-warranty exchange.  Have you contacted the original service provider, and complained?

  • HT4623 Dust inside the screen of my ipad

"What I have going to do? My ipad has a dust inside the screen.." :(

If it's still covered by Apple's warranty, Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

  • How to clean the dust inside the screen of the iPod Touch?

    Hi everybody,
lately some dust entered inside the screen of my iPod Touch.
At first it looked like one or two pixels were gone bad, but it is just some annoying dust.
The problem is that I cannot figure out any way to remove it.
I tried a gentle blow from the connector hole but the result was worse.
Any idea on how to clean the screen inside?
I hope it is not necessary to go to an Apple Center and pay for the "cleaning service".
    Regards,
    Andrea

    It sounds safe to use
'Falcon's® "Professional" Dust-Off® "XL" compressed-gas is the perfect product for removing dust from your color transparencies before making scans or copy slides; it's also great for removing dust from cameras, lenses, computers and other electronic equipment. Each 12 oz. disposable can comes with its own trigger value and a 4.75" nozzle extension (a red tube) that allows you to place precise bursts of compressed air just where you want it.'
Check the directions on the back... also check the contents. Normally anything like that will inform you of contaminants harmful to delicate electrical devices.
If its just compressed air make sure you keep the can well back from the source.. and unplug the G5 (take it somewhere you don't mind dust.. there no point doing this in situe, just for it to suck it back in again!)
Also.. as mentioned.. keep the can upright (as the air is decompressed the can gets very cold)

  • Dust inside the screen of my Qosmio G20-136

    Hi,
I have a weird problem on my Qosmio G20-136, there are 2 spots of dust inside, and recently a very small insect manages to get between the LCD on the protective sheet. I can assure you I though I was mad watching the insect moving without being able to do anything.
Am I the only one with such issue ? How can I contact TOSHIBA, to understand what's wrong with the isolation of the laptop ? The laptop is only moving in the flat !
I try to get contact with Toshiba FR, but all the answers I have is a expensive phone number. For the price of such a PC, they could at least provide email or chat support !
Is someone from Toshiba is reading, I would appreciate to get a contact.
    email : toshiba AT tykhan.net

Yes, that would be the best, contact a local servicepartner and let them check your machine because its sensless to shout here while doing nothing.
Just check this link to find the nearest authorized service partner:

  • Dust inside my screen

    hello,
i have a MacBook Pro and my screen at one corner comes off and i have dust behind the glass and the screen... i don't know if it makes sense..
I tried to call apple service just to get info about a qoute and to see if they just clean the screen and let's say glue it back agian but they ask for the protection plan for 19$.. My lapotop is from 2009 and this is my only problem with it.. it's not something I can fix, just wanted to have some info and find out where to take it , should i pay 19$ just to get some basic info?
    thank you

Having contemplated exchanging this phone for another make/model I decided to just have my 6280 swapped out with another new one. Other than the dust I was very happy with everything else about the phone, (my only gripe is that memory is a little low and Nokia should have included a 128MB memory card instead of 64MB but still) and for the price wasn't sure that the other makes/models I looked at would have the nice features I like about the 6280.
Anyhow, my replacement has arrived today, and the slider is not as 'loose' as my original, and the power button on top makes the power button on the original phone feel as though it wasn't seated correctly due to how I had to press it compared to this one.
Because of these two things, I'm hoping (although is may just be my perception) the build quality of my original was below par, hence the build of up dust, and my replacement won't have the same problem. Just in case, I'll have to take extra care in protecting this phone from dust particles!!
Ultimately however, if this phone does have the same problem, I'll just have to make regular trips to MPRC for them to clean out the phone under warranty at Nokia's expense - hopefully Nokia may then seal their screens a little better in future to avoid the servicing costs.
    I'll keep you posted.

  • Dust inside Screen, any experiences (and my story)?

I have a late 06 17" MBP that has exhibited dust inside the screen for about 6 months now. I haven't had a good time to take it into the apple store until yesterday (since I knew it would have to be sent off and I'd be without for a week or so). I know its dust and not dead pixels because of the fact that when it first happened, if I closed the screen and walked around with it in my bag, the spots would have moved when I reopened, some would appear farther up the screen, some closer to the bottom, and maybe sometimes 1 or 2 of them would disappear. All in all when I took it in, I had about 20 or so spots that make looking for dust in my Canon 1Ds pics, a frustrating practice at best.
So anyway, I make an appointment and speak to a Genius, he sees the issue clearly, and of course says he'll have to send it off, but tells me that they may not cover this and call me with a quote to replace the screen, but he'll write it up as if its covered and see if they come back with something different.
What I don't get is how this could not be covered. I've owned several laptops, for years, 2 dells, an IBM, a 17" sony vaio, 2 gateways, a toshiba, etc, etc, etc, pretty much all laptops for the past 10 years in my house. NONE of these have ever done this, all obviously in the same environment. How could this not be a defect thats covered under my apple care agreement (expires 1 year from this December)? But I'm getting ahead of myself, as far as I know at this time, it will be covered, but I will keep this thread up to date.
Here is what the Genius wrote down for my order:
    A. Customer Issue(s): Small dark spots at the bottom middle of screen
    B. Steps to Reproduce: Verified at the bar
    C. Troubleshooting: N/A
    D. Time to failure: N/A
    E. Unsuccessful Fixes Attempted: N/A
    F. Cosmetic Condition at Genius Bar: Slight dent on back left corner and screen does not sit flush
    G. CS Code Number: N/A
    H. Configuration: MBPRO 17/2.33/2G/160/256VRAM/SD-DL (even though I have 3gb in it, but not from the store that way)

    K. Known Liquid Damage(Y/N): None evident
    L. Other Notes: N/A
I know I've seen other posts about this dust inside screen issue, has anyone ever been denied a repair for this while under warranty?
And one more question, apparently these LCD units are not factory sealed? If this dust came from my environment, and did not originate from within the panel (thus not covered), is there anyway (if it comes back not fixed) that this could be cleaned out? I mean if it gets in there, there has to be a way to get it out right? I hope to write back soon with good news that its all covered, but just in case I might as well start looking at options, (geeze I'm such a pessimist)
I'd love to hear if anyone has any similar stories.
    Thanks!

That seems logical. If there is some small opening in the bottom to allow air to get inbetween the top and a lower layer inside the lcd panel, then it might not be possible to open it up to clean it out. I'm hoping that if its not fixed by apple, that there might be a way to do just that, regardless or risk of breaking the display. If I did break the display, I'd have to buy a new one, and if they don't fix it I'll have to buy a new one, so either way... I might just have to be the first to try such a thing, who knows, might be able to fix it myself...
And as far as being negative, no worries, I'm negative enough for all of us, or should I say scared my favorite laptop ever (and most expensive) won't be fixed...

  • Dust Inside My iPod touch Screen

Well, I had bought an 8GB iPod touch for my birthday on April 23, 2009 from Walmart. And about 6 months later I began to notice that there is dust WITHIN my screen. Could it be the sealant? If you have the same problem, or have suggestions, please help.

It's still under warranty, I'd take it to the Apple Store. It sounds like the rubber seal around the glass may be defective.

  • Brand new Canon 5d mark ii has dust inside of the LCD screen.. !!!

Hello guys. I just received Canon 5d mark ii + 24-105mm lens kit in the mail couple of days ago. It's an amazing camera that will help to improve my work. I didn't want to use the camera until I received the screen protector and the UV filter to make sure that the camera is well protected.  (My previous SLR ended up having so many scratches on the LCD screen)
So today I received the screen protector. I was cleaning the Lcd screen to install the protector and I realized that there is a dust inside of the LCD screen. I didn't even use the camera more than to see if it functions right. It's totally visible.
I was wondering if anyone had this problem with their brand new camera ?!?!
I know there is an option to exchange the camera since it's in the return/exchange period but I really don't have time for this. I have photo shoots coming up and I really can't be without my camera more than couple of days. Unfortunately they don't have the kit in any of Bestbuy location in Los Angeles area that I can go in and exchange.  They will ask me to return the camera kit to a Bestbuy location and wait for them to credit my Bestbuy card (which will take 3-4 days - and i don't have enough credit limit to buy another one right away and be patient for them to give me my money back ) and replace an order online again.
    Any advice appreciated...
    Thanks

First of all. Thank you for your reply. I actually realized couple of other things that made me suspicios that this camera was used before. Of course i might be wrong however - the package shipped from Bestbuy Return center + loose diopter adjuster knob before than even touching it + having dust inside the lcd screen + hair and dust inside the lens - made me really uncomfortable keeping this camera.
Don't get me wrong, I love Best Buy. I've been shopping from Best Buy for years. I have been purchasing many things every year and I really do trust them.  That's the reason why i didn't mind to have Greek Squad 3 years extended waranty package with my purchase. However spending almost $3500 for a top of the line camera and not having it flawless from the first day made me a little disappointed. That's all..
I will be going to Best Buy later today and return the camera. I am just hoping that they can refund the money to my card in couple of days so i can place an order for a new one. Even better if i can return the camera and they can place an order from the store for me..
Thank you so much for your reply again...

  • IPod touch has dust in between Glass and touch screen.

A few days ago I noticed there were several specs of dust inside my iPod touch screen. As the days have gone by, there are now considerably more, some of which are Very noticeable on bright or white pictures. They are mostly near the bottom which leads me to believe they've come in through the dock connector somehow, but there are some near the top of the display as well. I'm wondering if this is a known issue and whether or not it can be repaired or cleaned. Has anyone else had this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Simon Leonard

Maybe its just that model, or just you guys. Ive have my 8GB for a little over a month and I haven't had a problem like you are describing. Give Apple a call and see what they have to say it about it. Thats just my two cents.

  • Dust Particles inside the Screen of my iPhone!! Help?

Hello my name is John and well I have one problem. I am starting to get DUST PARTICLES inside the screen of my iPhone!! At first I wasn't bothered much but then the amount increased, and well now, when in sunlight, it is starting to get annoying! Any suggestions on how to free my iPhone of dust particles? Anyone????

I have gone to BOTH Apple and AT&T and they have said that they cannot do anything about it, AT&T said that they didn't know, and said to take it to Apple, and Apple said, "you can try compressed air to see if you can get it out".

  • Dust Inside my MBP screen? How can I remove it?

So I noticed some dust or debris inside my screen when I was cleaning it out! I'm never in very dusty rooms and the annoying part is that it's very obvious! How can I remove it (if any way)? Should I take it to Apple? It's only been just over a year (in February!) Will they replace it? I have the AppleCare extended insurance! Please help I have no idea what to do!!

I think it's best to take it to Apple and have them deal with it.
I don't want to assume that they will clean it for free.
But if it was a seal defect, maybe the cleaning would be done for nothing.
I don't suggest you open and clean it up.  Might void your warranty.
