  • Dust specks under iPad mini screen

My uncle from the US ordered an iPad mini online for me during launch day. It arrived Nov 2 when I was in the US and I have been using it ever since. I currently reside in the Philippines and then dust is really bothering me. What are my replacement options? It's been only 2 weeks and online searches told me that they do replace iPads with this problem. I cannot just simply go back to the US to have it replaced. Can someone I know just bring it to the states and have it replaced on my behalf?

Should I just take my device into an apple store? The dust particles are huge and concentrated in the upper right hand corner.
Yes - take it to an Apple Store, but make an appointment first. If you have the receipt, it can't hurt to bring it along with you but if it was a gift and you don't have the receipt, it shouldn't matter. The device is what is under warranty, and that should have been registered when you first activated the device.

  • I would like to create a document with imbedded video, to email, and airdrop to an iPad mini. What program should I use?

I would like to create a document with imbedded video, to email, and airdrop to an iPad mini. What program should I use?

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities
I would suggest using Apple's Pages which allows support for imbedding videos from the device's camera roll. Pages also allows for sharing via email, Air Drop, and Messages.

  • Want to buy new ipad mini.  What is best carrier for overseas travel?  Are all carriers month to month?

Want to buy a new ipad mini.  What is best carrier for overseas travel?  Are all plans month to month?

No. Most plans from major carriers are minimum term contracts - usually two years. Month to month providers require you buy an unlocked device that may then be permanently tied to their service.

  • What will happen if I downloaded the iOS 7 in my ipad mini? What will happen to my data, photo and downloaded apps before (ios6).

What will happen if I downloaded the ios7 in my iPad mini?  What will happen to my saved photo, data and otherdownloaded apps in ios6?  Will all of that erased?

The advice to back up is good.
And one other thing.  If you don't currently use a passcode to use your iPad, I really recommend you set one up before you update.  Just make sure you either know what your currently use, or if you set one up, you write it down somewhere safe for future reference.

  • How possibly dust going under the back glass of the phone?

I see some specs of dust under the back glass of my iPhone4S. How possibly is that? It seems that the glass is perfectly attached to the back, how could they go there? Is there any solution for me to swap them out or how to prevent more dust going underneath the glass? Since there is no Apple service in my country, so it seems that I have to deal with it? Not a big problem but it is very annoying. Please help!!!

You meant that there is no way for dust coming under the glass, right? Cause I am going to buy a pair of screen protector to cover the front and back of the phone.I wonder it can improve the situation?

  • Appeared white spot on the screen of ipad mini. What can i do?

A white spot was appeared on my ipad mini screen? Please help

It's under warranty for one year from the day you bought it.
It was released on Nov. 2, 2012. If you bought it that day, you are 8 days out of warranty. If you bought it after Nov.10, 2012, you are under warranty (as of today.  Apple should have the sale date if you give them your serial number. If you have the receipt, use that.
Either way, you should check with Apple and they should give you a new one (original) as a replacement. If you're near a store, make an appointment as soon as possible with the genius bar and bring it in.
Please do it as soon as possible.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT201441 My mother has passed away and I do not know her Apple ID or password for her iPad mini? What can I do?

Please help my mother has passed away and I cannot get into her iPad mini as I don't have her Apple ID or password ?

I see this question has been here for awhile anyways per your question Apple can't help with local device without having you reset it, Apple might not even help you if you don't have some kind of Apple program such as "Applecare" it covers phone support and device(s). You might want to find an email if you know the e-mail account before it may close. One more thing to try is connect the device to the computer that it was syched to and see in the options under store Itunes will hold passwords for Apple Id and registered computers. Give me a message back here if this doesn't work and no i'm no hacker I just use multiple devices from Apple.

I want to sync my music from my macbook pro, but I am denied because i don't have the latest version of iTunes which is not downloadable on my mac because it requires macbook 10.6.8 or newer.

You need to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6 and then run Software Update.

  • Adobe Flash for Safari on iPad Mini? What are the alternatives?

Whhy doesn't Safari on my Mini use Adobe Flashplayer?
    Thanks!

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
    Puffin
    SkyFire
    Photon Flash
    Browse2Go
    iSwifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
