Dutch Holidays in English..??

Suddenly several users of the Dutch Holidays subscription have their Holidays language changed from Dutch in English. I am one of them.
What's going on with Apple's subscription services? Someone suggests hacker activity.
Are these services updated on your MAC on a daily basis or is it part of OSX update services? What is Apple's influence on these subscriptions on their website?

Unfortunately, I cannot tell whether this is because I'm running CS4 under Tiger 10.4.11, as CS5, Snow Leopard and Lion will not run on my machine.  On my setup, the name of each language in the menu appears in its own language:
My understanding is that Camera Raw takes its language cue from the Bridge preferences, and that's what I thought you meant when you said "After update cameraprofile in Photoshop CS5".  It now appears that I misunderstood you, sorry.
Photoshop should not be affected by the language preference setting in Bridge the way Camera Raw and Bridge itself are.  The only way to get another language in Photoshop is supposed to be buying a different language version of the software, not through preferences.
I don't know how you managed to change that (Photoshop itself) to English.    Perhaps you inadvertently applied a Photoshop update (to 12.0.1,  12.0.2,  12.0.3, or  12.0.4) that was English-only instead of the Dutch one.
What I would do now if I were in your virtual klompen, would be to use the Adobe Uninstaller that gets installed with CS5 in your Applications/ Utilities/ Adobe/ folder ('map' in de Nederlandse Taal) and re-install Photoshop CS5 version 12.0 and gradually update it to 12.0.4, making absolutely certain that you select a Dutch-language download of each of those four updates.  You should then update the ACR plug-in too.
As I said, Bridge and Camera Raw will choose and set a language within Bridge's preferences after installation, but each one of the updates to Photoshop itself MUST be the Dutch version of each such update.
Before and after every single install, update or upgrade you should Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility.
Best of luck!

I accidentally chose Dutch instead of English to set up my AppleTV, how do I get back to English? thanks.

Select any package that you want to install in the Finder and select "File > Get Info" from the main menu bar.
Then disclose the "Open with" brick and set it to "Installer.app".
Press the "Change all" button, to open all installer packages with the Installer.app.
You may need to unlock the padlock in the lower right corner of the "Get Info" panel and to enter your admin password to do that.

  • (SOLVED) Dutch locale with English language

I would like to have a Dutch locale with English language in Arch. I've have done this in Debian and Gentoo, the settings below work fine. In Gentoo you can edit  /etc/env.d/02locale. Which files do I need to edit in Arch? I've read the about locales in the wiki but I couldn't find the answer.

  • I want to have an English version instead of Dutch

Hi, I live in the Netherlands but I cannot change my Dutch Firefox to English. Please help!

do you mean you've just installed the Dutch version? if yes, I think you should uninstall by simply removing the firefox folder (in your home folder) and then download the firefox english version from this page: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
You will find the button for all languages/and os versions
    http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
If you have installed it yourself on your own computer, the firefox folder should be in your home, user, directory -
    Hope it is ok?

  • How could I turn my Appstore back to English again ? How can I get my apps back again after migration to IOS 5 ?

    Hello,
I migrated my iPhone 3GS yesterday to IOS 5. All my apps disappeared, and, on the top of that, my Appstore turned to Dutch, instead of English.
So, in order to sort matters out, I would need to have help for the following:
    1. Put my Appstore in the iPhone back to English, so that I can charge apps in English, not in Dutch;
    2. Get my apps back.
    Thank you for the help.
    Simone

    Hi,
I found out after phoning apple support at least 9 times today that you can change the language of the Appstore by doing the following:
    1. Going into My Account in the Applestore, and going into 'language etc' and writing down the language you want to use (eg. English instead of Dutch). Save it.
    2. After doing that, in the iPhone itself, go to Settings/Appstore/ and click on your Apple ID. Then click on Sign Out. Then, Sign In again with your login and password details for your Apple ID. The language of your Appstore should now be the one you chose in step 1.
I hope it works for you all. It was not easy to get to this ...
    Regards,
    Simone

  • Non-standard date format yyyymdd in holiday calendar?

    Hello,
I currently implement the Mozilla Dutch Holiday calendar http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/caldata/DutchHolidays.ics on iPhones, iPads, Thunderbird with Lightning and Android-based telephones.
That calendar contents show up in the iPhones, iPads and Thunderbirds. But a number of different apps on the Android telephone either show nothing or report an invalid date format used in that file. At first I assumed that there was some error in those apps. But one of the creators informed me that according to the specification as shown in http://www.kanzaki.com/docs/ical/date.html the date format in that Mozilla Holiday Calendar is not according to the spec. It contains dates in the format 4-1-2 instead of 4-2-2.
Here is one I found. I did not try to find all of them.
    DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:2010828
    DTEND;VALUE=DATE:2010829
    Will this be corrected?
    Thank you for your help.
    Best regards

Now we are into territory I am unfamiliar with, so I looked around.
Looks like first file a bug. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/
I suggest copying product etc from this bug. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=953257
seek advice there in exactly what to do, but it looks like uploading a corrected ICS is about it.
You might add the module owner to the bug https://wiki.mozilla.org/Modules/All#Calendar

  • Itunes store and ibooks in english living in the NL???

    Hi,
does anyone know how can I get ibooks in english? At this moment I am living in the NL. When downloading the ibooks from US store I get the message I can't download from this site and it redirects me to the NL store where all the books are in Dutch. I don't want to read books in Dutch but in English. How can I get itunes store in english while living in the NL and how can I get ibooks in english?
    Thanks
    Luis

Until Apple negotiates rights to sell English ebooks in NL, you may need to use the Kindle or Nook apps instead of iBooks.

  • Who can help me for the PDF-manual of Photoshop Elements 8.0 in English?

Some weeks ago I started using Photoshop Elements 8.0 in Dutch. But I cannot understand all technical terms in Dutch and therefore I need the PDF-manual in English. It is unpossible for me to download that from Adobe, because I bought the Dutch version.
Can anybody having the English version of Photoshop Elements 8.0 please download the PDF-manual and send it to [email protected] Thank you in advance.

    Dear Barbara B.
Thank you very much. It works.
Maybe, it is interesting for you to know that before I sent this question to
the forum, I asked it officially at Adobe's Customer Help. From them I got
the answer that it is not possible to download the English manual. They
offered me the possibility to convert my Dutch Photoshop into an English one
by means of  a so-called Lettre Of Destruction (LOD). That is not what I
wanted, because I liked to keep my Dutch Photoshop.
Thanks for your help once again. Now I have I Dutch ánd an English manual!
    And that's what I wanted.

  • Where do I get an English Sherlock?

Oddly, my Sherlock 3 channels appear to be in German. But I do not speak German, and German was never defined as a chosen language on my computer. How do I get the Sherlock channels in English, like it used to be on Sherlock 2?

Go to System Preferences, click the International pane and make sure that English is at the top of your list. If it isn't, and the language at the top isn't supported by Sherlock, Sherlock will use its own preference order, beginning with Danish and Dutch before reaching English.

  • Public holidays in different languages

    Hi Experts,
We would like to know how to define the public holiday in different languages (English and German)
For e.g. May 1st : Labor holiday in english, same holiday need to be mentioned in German language.
Please provide the steps how to define the same public holiday in multiple languages and is to be assigned to same Holiday Calendar.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
For your case, if you want to maintain May 1st Labor holiday in German, just log on SAP with language key DE and maintain holiday description with Deutsche word, that will be fine.

  • Problem with alias in Dutch

    Hi all,
I keep having trouble with the alias construction in Dutch. In English, it works perfectly fine, but if I translate the rule into Dutch (of course, in another - Dutch - rulebase project) it won't compile.
    English rule:
the person's ID is a match with the other ID if
    ExistsScope(the persons, the other person)
the person ID = the other person ID
    and
    InstanceNotEquals(the person, the other person)
    Compile error in Dutch version:
"Unable to parse 'InstantieNietGelijkAan(de persoon, de andere persoon)'. Expected: expression, variable, statement"
    Any help?
    Cheers, Els

    Hi Els!
It seems to be working in a basic rulebase we tried. Normally that error occurs when OPA doesn't recognise the entity text for the <instance 1> or <instance 2> argument.
It might be worth deleting the .xgen file and creating a new document and starting again as something may have become corrupted.
Failing that, feel free to send the rulebase over - are you using 10.4?
    Cheers,
    Ben

  • Swedish Holidays missing

The iCal calendar for the Swedish Holidays (http://ical.mac.com/ical/Swedish32Holidays.ics) is missing a lot of holidays. It doesn't have, for starters, father's day or Midsommar. And as Sweden celebrates Midsommar and Christmas on the Eve instead of the day itself, it should have Midsommar Afton and Jul Afton.
Who at Apple does the country holiday calendar? How can I get an up-to-date and complete holiday calendar for Sweden?

    Thank you. That looks good.
I also figured out how to subscribe to the Google Calendar of Swedish holidays-
    http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/swedish__en%40holiday.calendar.google.com/pu blic/basic.ics
Google writes the holidays in English, but at least they are all there.
Still want to know hot to notify Apple - the creator of the iCal Swedish Holidays calendar - that they are missing some of our country's biggest holidays.
