DV CS3 Alt+Shift problem

hello i have problem whith the dreamweaver. i need the
STANDARD PANEL in DV CS3 turned ON. everithing is ok but if i
switch other keyboard leangue (alt+shift or if i select the
keyborad language from the icon on bottom on the screen) the
standard panel is turned off ! i testing this in win XP and VISTA
system and i have the some problem.. Please help my because it`s
interfere when i working. Any solution for this ? thanx. sorry for
me bad english...

it`s it normally ??? i found the bug in dreamweaver cs3 and
nobody can write me about this problem ??? i attempt to change the
shorcuts keyborad in windows to select the keyborad leangue from
Shift+Alt to CTRL+**** or CTRL+1... if a changing the shorcuts the
old shorcuts in dreamweaver has not effect but my new shorcuts
reseting the panels to the standart view !!!!! OMG, HELP ME ANYBODY

Keyboard problem - alt & shift key switch

Suddenly the alt & shift keys have switched functions but only for the "3" key along the top of the keyboard. Previously shift + 3 gave the pound sterling sign, but this is now alt + 3, which took some finding, shift + 3 is this sign #. I would like the pound sign back at shift + 3 where it's shown. I can't find anything to show how to do this, or why it changed in the first place. Please help.

Perhaps the System Preferences have been changed from a British keyboard to a US keyboard. Go to Sys Prefs/Lang & Text/Input Sources to check what is selected.

Alt Shift resets visible toolbars

In Windows, switching keyboard layouts is often assigned to
Alt-Shift.
In Dreamweaver, Alt-Shift resets the toolbar set to
'Document' and 'coding', which apparently is the default.
If you have any other toolbar open, for example 'Standard'
(which has Save and Save All icons), it disappears.
Is there a way to modify the default set or is there a
keyboard shortcut to make it reappear?

Left Alt+Shift combination

When I click left Alt+Shift in order to change keyboard language, the Edit window (either in Code or in Design view) looses the focus, so I can't type anymore. I have to use the mouse (click where the text should be) and then start typing again.
Please note that it only occurs in Edit window (where the contents of the page are) and not in any other place. For example I don't have the problem when I'm in the Properties Panel and I want to type an ID in the second language (1st keyboard language is English, 2nd is Greek). Furthermore the problem is only DW (CS4) related. All the other applications are working as they should (Word, Excel, Photoshop, Firefox, etc).
The weird thing is that, when I first open DW the combination works OK, but after a while it doesn't. Especially, after I use the Snippets panel.(select a snippet and click the Insert button).
Any thoughts?

This is a known issue with switching keyboard layout in Dreamweaver. Switching keyboard layout results in the toolbars being redrawn. You can submit a bug report/feature request through the form at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform, but there's nothing you can do about it apart from use the mouse to refocus the program after switching.

How to reset Photoshop preferences (In Windows):
First, hold down all three Ctrl+Alt+Shift buttons
Now "while keeping those button held," simply open Photoshop or a file that opens with Photoshop
As Photoshop loads, you should get a prompt asking if you would like to "delete the Photoshop settings file", Click yes
You should now have a fresh slate with all of the settings returned to their default.
Its strange some keyboard cannot reset photoshop after you press Ctrl + Alt + Shift buttons.
And its no pop up to confirm delete
At finally i found the problems is type of my keyboard not compatible with photoshop
i changed my old keyboard immediately and its works!!

Save for Web & Devices shortcut Alt+Shift+Ctrl+S not working

I've a really weird issue I'm running PS CS5 on Windows 7 on Dell XPS 1645 for some reason I'm unable to save for web using 'Alt+Shift+Ctrl+S' clicking the menu item works just fine however. This is driving me nuts any help or advice please??

you could first try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.
A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.

here is the issue
my users remote control a terminal services farm, now when they changing language to English some time it change to English Upper Case and caps lock is off ! then the Alt + Shift and the go back to English lower case and if they just play with
this (i mean they just use Alt Shift over and over to try to get back to normal state when you hold shift and alt and you change to English and back to Hebrew if you hold the alt shift one more time )

here is how the normal setting should be
Alt + shift need to change to lower case English
then Alt shift one more time will go back to Hebrew
now if you hit on the caps lock you will be in English all the time with Upper Case

Modifier Keys Stop Working (Alt, Shift, Space)

Can't use the space or shift keys in Illustrator CS4. I don't have any Microsoft programmes or Quicken or Entourage or any other Microsoft software on this computer. Have tried restarting computer, this did not fix the problem. Have looked at other posts and tried all the tips, none seem to work.
Has anyone got a definite answer to this problem

Just to make sure: did you try to reset the preferences (Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup or Move the folder with Illy closed) and the other items in Other options ?

Alt + Shift shortcut does not work in CDE

I have a following problem when I try to use Alt+Shift shortcuts in Eclipse IDE: when I press Alt+Shift+N my Eclipse behave as if Alt+N was pressed (without Shift).
The problem is described in the following bug:https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=120555.
The solution is to remove "grp:alt_shift_toggle" option from xorg.conf. Unfortunately I cannot find xorg.conf in my CDE environment.
Do you have any ideas how this issue could be solved?

Shortcut [ALT]+[SHIFT]+[P] doesnt work with Vista ultimate??!

hello
when i try to create a new position key frame in the time line, i always used the shortcut [ALT]+[SHIFT]+[P]. on other versions before Vista it was working perfectly.
on the Vista ultimate though, instead of creating a key frame, i get the windows "mediaplayer" loading up, every time i use this shortcut.
i looked for this shortcut to change within media player, but couldn't find it.
is there a way to change the shortcut inside after effects?
i am using after effect CS3.
all other shortcuts (like [ALT]+[SHIFT]+[J] or [ALT]+[SHIFT]+[S]) are working fine...

Go to the start/Windows button, click and in the search box type "Windows Media Player." DON'T select the icon (thereby opening the application).
INSTEAD, right click the icon for the media player and choose "Properties." You will see a box for shortcut...just delete the one that's there and it will now show as "None."

I3 Alt+Shift No longer functioning

Hi Guys,
I've just completed a full system upgrade and now my keyboard shortcuts (specifically alt+shift+..) are not working. I am running i3, which is called from .xinitrc. I have bindings like mod1+shift+x which worked perfectly before the upgrade.
One binding (alt+shift+c) changes the font of to some weird language. Has anyone come across this recently? Or can anyone think of a program that captures keyboard input before the WM?
I havn't changed the config files, there is just some new program interfering with the WM.

I found the solution.
I had upgraded Xorg, which no longer required 10-evdev.conf in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/. I had this configuration file there, which a section with keyboard layouts i.e
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "evdev keyboard catchall"
MatchIsKeyboard "on"
MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
Driver "evdev"
# Keyboard layouts
Option "XkbLayout" "us, bg"
Option "XkbVariant" ", phonetic"
Option "XkbOptions" "grp:alt_shift_toggle, grp_led:scroll, terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp"

After deleting this file, all is right with the world.
For future problems, check Xorg config files as it may be capturing key shortcut before the WM.

Removal of Alt + Shift + Left Arrow (goto prev document)

Adobe Reader 9 has removed this option. The option Shift + Left Arrow does work as long as you have not changed pages in the current document.
I still use Acrobat version 7 and find that many of our Cds no longer work properly. I need the Alt + Shift + Left Arrow for compatability reasons and because often I change page in the current document and then want to go back to the page I was looking at in the previous document.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I created thousands of links in multiple pdf documents in Acrobat V8 for readers who now have Reader 9 and can't navigate them... this is a disaster!

Maybe I'm missing something basic here, but I'm going through a tutorial and it says to "press alt-shift-p to enable keyframing for position and reveal it in the timeline." But when I do this, Windows Media Player opens.
Is there an override somewhere where I can shut that off in Windows or have AE shortcuts override Windows shortcuts when the program is open?

No no no... uninstall and reinstall Media Player since it was overriding the AE shortcut and would not release it.
Going through that whole process, though, did reveal the answer.
The versions of Media Player that can go into mini mode on the taskbar are/is the culprit. When I got to reinstalling MP, it told me to close all other windows (as everything does) and to turn off mini mode. It showed me how to turn it off if it was on: right click on the taskbar, go to toolbars, and uncheck Windows Media Player.
That being checked in the first place was probably what caused the shortcut override. I went to my manager's computer and WMP was not checked on hers and the Alt-Shift-P did not launch WMP.
Alt-Shift-P now works in AE as it is supposed to now that the WMP mini mode is disabled/unchecked in the taskbar toolbar menu. Had I known about that, this problem would have been solved in 1.5 - 2 seconds tops.
I feel a Yosemite Sam coming....

Curly brackets - can't activate key "8" and "9" with alt+shift ?

Hi I am using danish keys on my mac book pro and can't activate the keys 8 and 9 with alt+shift, wherefore I can't easily make curly brackets ?
Have any of you had same problem or do you know a way around it ?
I know I kan draw a curly bracket, but it is time consuming.
So if any of you know a trick - I will be thankful.

Sounds as if you are misunterstanding me.
Glyphs are under the Type menu. There you can see all the characters in the selected font.
With your type active using the Type tool, just double click on the character you want in the Glyphs palette and it will show up.

CS4 can't input special characters (|\#) with alt+shift

I can input all characters with alt+shift except for:
* alt+shift+l normally outputs: |
* alt+shift+/ normally outputs: \
* alt+shift+£ normally outputs: #
I have an EN_US version, and I work with an azerty-keyboard
This was an issue with cs3 too

No idea, but maybe due to security reasons, because "&&" is a logical AND, and "||" is a logical OR, and "//" could start a comment, through input boxes these could actually alter the internal program and one maybe able to bypass security codes or do other imaginative things. In fact similar things have been widely used in PHP language by hackers, one of their methods is known as "xss" or cross site scripting through which a badly regulated/filtered/controlled user input can be exploited.
