DV not being broken into individual clips

I just imported some DV from my video camera into iMove HD 5.0.2. Usually, the DV tape is broken into multiple clips about 9 minutes long (2 gig) segments. This time, the tape just ran and I have 1 clip in iMovie Clips pane that is 32 minutes long. This has never happened before.
Any idea what is going on?

The 2GB clip limit (9+ minutes) existed in iMovie 4, but not in iMovie 5. Neither iMovie 5 nor iMovie 6 has a limit.
iMovie 6 preferences lets you set the clip limit to what you want.
And of course, all versions let you limit clips to the scene breaks.
If that's not how it's working with your camera, you might want to check that the camera clock is set correctly. When it's not, iMovie can't see the scene breaks on the recorded video.

Camcorder download does not automatically split into individual clips

I downloaded four DV tapes recorded on my Canon ZR40 (seven years old) DV camcorder.
When downloading two of the four tapes, no individual clips were created; I got one big clip. On the other two tapes, they were broken down into scenes normally.
Am I doing something wrong? (Timecode checkmark is selected)
Can you instruct PRE to automatically break one large clip into individual scenes once it is already on the disk? How?

I always use DVdate by Glagla to capture my DV clips. The clips can be named according to shooting time and date, giving two advantages:
1. Clips from several tapes will sort by shooting time in PE media panel.
2. Shooting time and date is visible within PE.
If it works on your tapes forget about capturing with PE.

Item in sales order not being picked into picking list

Delivery creation that is selection date is controlled by the schedule line of the line item in the sales order
Try by changing the schedule lines in sales order in VA02
there you try to change the delivery date to past
It might be possible if you had enough stocks at that time

My jpg files from CR2 edits in CS6/CC are not being imported into LR5.

My jpg files from CR2 edits in CS6/CC are not being imported into LR5. Bridge and Explorer can see them ok. Tried to reimport but LR5 cant see them.
The file numbers are the same as original CR2 but have the jpg extension. TIFFS and PSDs seem ok. Can anybody help please?

That's kind of a broad question ... and there are many different approaches ... so I will explain my approach, and other people can explain their approach.
My approach is to assign keywords and optionally captions and titles and other metadata to all of your photos, and use those to organize and search. Then, it doesn't matter what folders things are located in, if you want to see all your pictures of Chicago, you simply click on the arrow to the far right of the keyword Chicago. You don't have to remember what folders to look in, and this works even if the photos are scattered in a dozen different folders. In addition, since photos must be in one and only one folder, that limits your ability to organize; but you can assign as many keywords as you'd like to a photo, so a single photo can have keywords "Chicago" "Zoo" "Elephant" "Vacation" "Illinois" "United States" etc.

My image is not being fed into my podcasts.

That depends on how you are making your feed; presumably you aren't hand-writing it (if you are you can simply remove the return). A program or service creating a feed shouldn't introduce the line return - all I can suggest is looking closely into the program and perhaps trying to contact their Support.

I am using German OS therefore maybe the items are called differently in English:
1) Go into the main menu
2) Select "Alerts"
3) select the Profile you like to adjust
4) Select App Alerts
5) Select Email
6) You sould see your 3 mail accounts listed
7) Select the one you like to "mute" and you can set everything (sound, LED, vibration etc. individually for this acount)

Contacts seem to have broken into individual entries for email, phone number, address. How can I fix this?

My contacts have been split into individual entries for each part of the contact. There is now an entry for the phone number, each email address, and address of each contact that I have. I have never seen this before and would like to know if there is any way to combine them back into one. Thank you

It sounds like your phone number has been unlinked from your Apple ID. To relink your phone number, we'll need to troubleshoot on your iPhone (not the iPad).

Songs not being grouped into one album/artist!!!

Ok, so just as an example... I have this one CD - American Idol 2 All-Time Classic American Love Songs ... my problem is that it seperates them all into individual artists and won't group them together - which isn't too big of a problem, because I can just rename everything and make them group. The problem is, 2 of them do group! Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard's tracks are recognized as part of one album and are automatically grouped into a Various Artists category! eek! It's the only time it's happened - It doesn't do that for any other American/Canadian Idol album I have! and I just can't figure it out. I tried renaming those tracks and stuff, but it just wouldn't work, it still only grouped those two seperately!

Ok and it also happens with a couple Westlife songs - I have a Misc category because they're from a couple different singles albums and I didn't want like, one song per folder! So I just grouped them all, but again, iTunes won't make ONE Misc Category, it bloody makes two!

Successfully imported external swf, can not put it into movie clip

I have started learning AS3 and gradually getting used to, trying to put external swf into movie clip.
Successfully imported target swf and put into stage, when I publish this I see target swf is playing.

You can only access Loader.content after Load completed successfully.

Import not splitting scenes into separate clips

I am having a problem that I never encountered before upgrading to iMovie 6.
When I import my Mini DV footage, iMovie no longer splits it into separate clips with each scene break. And, yes, I have selected the "Start a new clip at each scene break" option in Preferences (I have even tried deselecting it, and then re-selecting it). The separate clips option always worked with iMovie 5.
I end up with one long clip, and have to spend extra time manually splitting it up. Very annoying.
My camcorder is a Samsung SC-D351.
Any thoughts?

Thanks, David and Robert. Robert got me thinking in the correct direction, and David came to the same (correct) conclusion that I did.
Because the problem first happened after I upgraded to iMovie 6, I wrongly assumed it must be a software issue. However, the problem was indeed the camcorder's internal clock. When I checked the info on the last (uber-long) clip I had imported, it told me the create date was 2017.
Once I replaced the camcorder's internal battery and reset the clock, all was well. So, I feel a bit like a dummy. But thanks for letting me bounce my question off you, and for steering me in the right direction. Hopefully this thread will help somebody else with the same problem in the future.

Filter not being generated into where clause

I have a simple mapping that has a source table, a filter, and a target table that is set to DELETE. The source table has many rows, but the filter would narrow down these rows by a lot. When I generate the code, the cursor that gets created SELECTs the whole table then there is an IF statement that is applied to each row with the filter condition. A lot less processing would be required if the filter was implemented as a WHERE clause in the cursor, but I can't get it to generate this way. I realize that deletes automatically generate row-based code but it would still be row-based if the WHERE clause was in the cursor.
Is there any way to get it to generate the filter as a WHERE clause in the cursor?

In general, Warehouse Builder gives you a number of different operating modes:
- set-based: which does everything in (one) SQL statement. This method is most performant, but has some limitations. Warehouse Builder today does not support set-based deletes (arguably, deletes are not the most common operation in a data warehouse).
- row-based: which is optimal for debugging. In row-based mode, you get as many records as possible and all operations/transformations take place in PL/SQL. This option gives you most debugging capabilities.
- row-based bulk: which is the previous method fetching rows in bulk (e.g. 100 by 100). Bulk processing speeds up the overall processing.
- row-based target only: in this mode we push as many of the operations/transformations as possible into the query (cursor). I.e. your filter (in your case) would be implemented as a restriction on the filter.
- row-based target only in bulk: see previous.
Warehouse Builder's default operation is set-based fail over to row-based. I.e. because we do not support set-based delete statements, I suspect you fall back to the row-based method of execution, which is not ideal in your case. I suggest you use the row-based target only option in order to get optimal performance for your scenario.
Note that for the deletes that are common in DW scenarios the row-based bulk deletes that we generate are often faster than set-based deletes. Also note that if you perform a complete delete (or even truncate) followed by an insert that Warehouse Builder does issue one statement for emptying the table.

Breaking down one big track into individual clips...

Hi.
I recorded a live performance of a band I was filming for via Audacity and now I have a pretty good quality live recording I would like to use to match with my video footage. The problem is that it is just one huge mp3.
I got it into Garageband and trimmed it up and broke it down into the individual songs that I want, but now I can't for the life of me figure out to export each individual track. It keeps putting them all together as one song.
Please help. This is literally the first time I've ever used Garageband, but I am getting used to it I think

Now I just turned on the cycle region button selected the portion I wanted to export, then went share>export song to disc. I set it to mp3. It said it was creating mixdown and then normalizing and looked like it was processing. I went to look in the folder where I set it to save to and nothing is there. I just did a spotlight search for the title and nothing...
What did I do wrong?

Keyword tags not being imported into Organizer when doing Save As

I've got quite a number of pictures in the Organizer, and find the keyword searching invaluable.
However... When I open a file containing keywords in the main editor, and save as, it offers the choice "Include in the Organizer" which is ticked by default. This brings the new version of the image into the organizer, but the keywords don't appear. They are still in the source .psd or .jpeg, going back into the editor and doing File | File info... shows that they are there.
I got round it by saving with "Include in the Organizer" unchecked, but it doesn't remember the setting of this - it always switches back on. This keeps the file out of the Organizer so at least you can use Ctrl+Shift+G to import which will take the keyword tags.
I guess there are two questions here:
1. Is it possible to get the Save As to put the keywords as well as the image into the Organizer?
2. Failing that, is there a way to turn off the "Include in the Organizer" check box?
I've searched the web, messages in this forum, and the FAQ by John R. Ellis and haven't been able to turn up any clues. Hope someone can help or advise :-)

How are you opening the files into the Editor. Are you in the Organizer and you select a photo and the Ctrl-I (or menu command) to open the editor? Or do you open the file from the Editor directly, searching for it among your folders?
I'm opening the files from the Organizer using Ctrl+I.
What version of PSE?
I'm using PSE7 with the latest updates applied.
What file type are you trying to save the photo as? Please confirm that the originals are .jpg and not RAW.
I'm using .jpg and .psd, using Save As with the same filetype. e.g. open dsc1017.jpg save it as dsc1017_modified.jpg

Email not being imported into my MacBook Pro - SSL error

My email accounts that I monitor thru the mail in my macbook pro are now not working or updating. When I read the error message it states that I might have to turn SSL off if my server does not support it. I read Eric Roots suggestion on how to turn off SSL but when I follow his instructions I can not edit the SSL selection to uncheck. My mail has been working fine by importing 5 email accounts into my Mail Application but since May 9 it has quite working on my Macbook Pro. The mail app works fine on my ipad and my iphone.

Out of frustration I finally completely shut down my MacBook Pro and waited 30 minutes then turned back on and majectly all of my email accounts imported into my Mail account. Still not sure why this happened. I use my MacBook as my desktop so I leave it on all the time and wonder if this may be my problem. Thanks looking at my question but no answer replies but this seemed to fix my issue.

Data is not being displayed into DataGridview until Clicked inside the cells

There are different ways to bind the datagridview control to it's datasource, the question is where and what is your datasource? Is it from a database or XML file, or is it built on runtime...etc?
Based on your explanation I can understand that the Datagridview is binding correctly in the code behind since the rows of the grid are created. Because the row of the Datagridview are created only while it is binded correctly to it's datasource. The issue
of the display seems something different and strange.
Try also this way by using DataTable one the common ways used:
