Dv2630ea , hdmi to toshiba tv will only work if pc is restarted.

when i plug my hdmi cable into my pc and tv i have to restart the pc before anything happens. then when the pc goes into idle it loses connection with the tv and i have to restart the pc again.
any ideas? usually all i had to do was insert the hdmi cable and the pc to tv link would initiate automatically.
i have my video card set to 'clone' mode with the pc as primary display.
can anyone help me? i use the pc a lot for windows media centre but its just started doing this and its a right pain to have to restart the pc all the time.

I don't think the password will matter, because you can't use anything on the iPod or in iTunes to transfer song files from iPod to computer (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store). However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
The simple software "lock" used on iPods should not prevent you from off-loading the song files. Once the song files are on your computer, you can add them to your iTunes library. Then, you can do a Restore on the iPod to give it a fresh start and sync it (and the iPod touch) as desired.
NOTE: For songs purchased by you from the iTunes Store, you can also re-download them to your computer at no cost, from the iTunes Store Purchased screen. The link to Purchased is on the iTunes Store Home screen, under QUICK LINKS.

I really appreciate all your help. Today I spent some time on the problem. First I purchased any video converter from the ap store and then I connected the camera to the mac with the original usb cable that came with the camera. I turned on the camera and selected backup on pc and the logo came up on my home page. I opened it and after several attempts i found the 3 video files that were on the camera. I then converted them from a tod file to mp4 and then transfered them to imovie. Now I have to figure out how to send the video to youtube or move it to an external hard drive which I have not been able to do. So far I am not too fond of imovie 11. If you could send me the download for imovie 6 I then could try that route. When talking to apple support yesterday about the problem they suggested to get Final Cut Express. My Speakers on my iphone4 will only work when I receive a call or facetime, and are muffled when an alarm goes off. Other than that, I have absolutely no sound from anything- text, music, videos, games, etc. UNLESS I use headphone. My phone will vibrate with text messages, though. When I try to turn up the volume on the side, it doesn't register any bars- the space for the volume boxes is blank. Also, there is no volume bar in my music when I try to turn up the volume. I have tried restarting my phone numerous times, I have also checked and rechecked the switch on the side to no avail. Does anyone have any troubleshooting ideas or know what might cause this?

I tried this and noticed a little green inside the charging port. I panicked thinking it was corrupt, but found out if you lighting moisten the toothbrush with alcohol and gently scrub (with the power off) you can remove the green. I started inspecting one of our charging adapters, which had been giving us trouble, and it was very green inside. Not sure if it can transfer from one to the other?

Try the basic troublshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B: Resart, Reset, Restore using backup, Restore as new.

Usb will only work for powered devices

I am having an issue to where my USB ports will only work for devices that have power supplied to them, ie an external hard drive that has a power adapter and not for devices that do not have power supplied to them. I was seeing if anyone could help me resolve this issue?

I'm guessing that you'r not buying a new edition of the Adobe Suite 5.5.
Apparently Adobe haven't been awake to make sure the 5.5 is 100% compatiable with Lion. However, I do believe it's only a few minor troubles you will experince and Adobe constantly update their software to adjust to Lion.
You should go to Adobe.com and see the list of known issues.

Yes a Restore will erase your iPod. But this shouldn't be an issue since you obviously must have your music in your iTunes library or backed up somewhere else, RIGHT????? After all, it would be silly to have all your music on just the iPod and no where else, RIGHT?

G70-250US notebook synaptics mouse pad will not work & keyboard will only work until I log onto pc

I have a G70-250US model notebook with Vista 32. I decided to reload OS due to issues with mouse pad and keyboard. I still have the same problem whereby the mouse pad will not work and keyboard will only work until I log in and then it will not work. External mouse and keyboard will work fine. I tried uninistalling drivers for both and rebooting and letting OS find new hardware and install the drivers and this still did not correct. I even pulled down the synaptics driver from HP site and still not working. I checked the BIOS and it is the most recent. I am at a loss. Any ideas on these issues.

I have an old Dell Dimension 2400 I plan to use as a replacement for the Sony Vaio when it pops. I've held out as long as possible because it lacks a pci or usb wifi and I really didn't want to run 50 feet of cat5 up a flight of stairs to it. [as i type this i think i remember where a linksys stick for it might be]. Yes I guess it's about time I just do that.
Don't laugh but the reason I held off adding a simple usb keyboard was just lack of space in my tiny bedroom. My setup is on two tray tables side-by-side. Sony Vaio is on left one, my lcd monitor and mouse are on the other. I barely have room to put a cup of coffee on the one with monitor and mouse let alone a full size usb keyboard lol.
