Dv6 top left speaker lower sound issue

I purchased a HP dv6-6005et laptop 6 days ago which is running w7 x64 home premium. 3 days later, i noticed my top left speaker's sound lower than top right's about 20 percent. I formatted and installed w7 x64 pro.
I thought this might be a driver issue. I updated the driver. Nothing's changed. Uninstalled driver. I noticed without IDT Audio driver top speakers are ok. Balances are ok but bottom speakers not working and sound is not good enough.
I went to place where i purchased my laptop. I used public demo laptop. That laptop has that issue too.
I tried all drivers on the internet. Nothing's changed but now i know this is a driver issue. I couldn't find any solution. Please help me.
Thanks a lot.

Seems like your settings are a bit skewed.
Click on Start
Type in "IDT Audio Control Panel"
On the Far Left locate Setup
Click on it.
Move move the circle to the left or right as needed.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Windows 7 Beats Audio Sound issue

    Hi-
I am using HP Pavilion dv6 with Windows 7 and has Beats Audio installed. It is about 9-10 months old Couple of times in the last few months, the sound just screached and then the volume on the speakers went down tremendously. I have-
    1. Confirmed that the latest drivers are in place
    2. Confirmed that all audio setting options are set right
    3. Confirmed that the device is working correctly (Through device manager)
2-3 weeks after the first such instance, the sound came back normal without any setting changes. Now I am facing the same issue-
    1. Sound is very low on- Speaker, headphones and HDMI output
    2. Sound is very low on- Skype, Yahoo messenger
It appears to be an hardware issue- if anyone has encountered such issue or know of any potential solutions, please share it.

Thanks for getting back to me with that information!
I've got a couple of things for you to try.
First, try updating to the latest BIOS version F.1C. Download and install F.1C. Your computer will restart on its own during the installation. Allow it to restart and test it for sound issues. If you are still having the problem, move on to the second option.
2nd Option You have the latest audio driver version 6.10.6381.0 installed. There are two versions listed on your driver page which means some units may work better with one version or the other. Don't make any changes to the BIOS version you just installed, but roll back to the earlier audio driver version.
    To do this:
    Open Device Manager
Expand Sound, video and game controllers
    Double-click on IDT HD Audio
    Click the Driver tab
If the 'Rollback' button is enabled, click that and restart the computer.
If the 'Rollback' button is not enabled, click Uninstall, do not restart the computer
Download and install 6.10.6345.0 offered on this link and restart
Let me know the results when you get a chance

  • MBP late 2011 - Weird digital noise coming from the top left speaker zone

Hello, it doesn't matter if the volume of the speakers is muted, doesn't matter if the volume is at maximum position or at the middle position, the noise will come whenever it wants, at the same very loud level. When the noise begins, the coloured disk appears, and the OS is freezing. Updating to the latest version of Lion didn't help. The hardware test, short or extended did not find anything wrong. Also resetting pram/nvram didn't help. Sometimes, and especially at startup, before the boot sound, the speakers can be heard popping/clicking. Even if it comes from the left speaker zone, i guess it's not from there, because this weird sound can be heard even through the hole of the network adapter, but any other sound when playing music comes only from the speaker, the LAN adapter hole is quiet (funny, isn't it?). This noise can be also described like the sound of an old printer... or almost like a Spectrum loading from tape...
But there is no problem at all in Bootcamp using Windows 7. I still need to use OS X, can anyone help?
Bellow You can hear the noise for Yourselves:

  • Left speaker no sound, no wi-fi, hang up after first or second booting then blue screen appears

hi there! my laptop always hangs up everytime I open it. Sometimes it open up after minutes of waiting then gradually hangs up before blue screen appears. I had to long press the start button again and again before I could use it.
By the way, there are times I had to switch into safe mode and found out that the audio is not working anymore. During normal mode, only the left speaker is operational. Lastly, wi-fi signal will constantly disappear after rebooting.
    please help

    Hi,
Have not seen any reports of negative experiences (unlike recent Microsoft updates) from the last batch of Windows Updates.
I would guess you have a coincidental hardware problem.
A failed HDD would yield an error at boot. You would still be able to boot to the BIOS if you desired.
Normally failed devices (memory, GPU, CPU) will give audible and visual error codes. Exceptions will always happen.
Could be the battery, power supply, or maybe the motherboard has bit the dust. You will probably receive no visual or audible error messages when the motherboard fails.
    Try booting with one monitor.

  • Macbook Retina 13, left speakers low sound & Crackling

Hello, I bought a Macbook Pro Retina 13 Inch, and suddenly while i was listening to my music i heared sctching sound in the speakers, i investigated further by changing out from left to right, i found that the left speakers sound became Low & there is a skratshing sound with the music, as if the speakers are brokern or something.
any one had this problem before. what should i do ?
is it related to software update as i just upgraded to Mavricks or it's a broken Hardware ?
i bought my laptop from Kuwait, Apple provide 1 year warrenty right ?
    Regards

On such a hardware issue, stressing to diagnose same is not taking advantage of your warranty, return period, or Apples customer service you ALSO paid for.
as such less stress to you and worry of any hardware defects and exchange same for another unit.

  • Speaker pop sound issue - how bad is it for the computer?

I have realized I wasn't alone out there with intermittent popping sounds from the speaker(s)...
While I agree it its annoying, I can live with it, I was just wondering if anyone has an educated guess on whether this could damage some peripherals or any hardware components in the long run?
    tx,
    Dr Sly

i would expect at least for the speakers no. not sure if it is affecting all the ports (just cant really notice since there is no way to tell easily) but it is producing a level of sound a little lower and shorter than the alert sounds so it shouldnt do anything to the speakers

  • Low Sound Vloume & webcam

I've recently bought a Toshiba laptop (Satelite L500-13) which does not have satisfactory sound volume, sound is extremely low...and other thing is the picture quality of the webcam is worst that made me disappointed!
Please advise how to solve these.
    Thanks!

Here's one suggested fix that works for many who experience the low sound issues on laptops which use the Realtek HD Audio drivers. These directions are for Windows 7, other operating systems may require a slightly different set of steps.
First, Download and install the latest Realtek HD Audio drivers from the Realtek website. If the ".exe" or executable file version of the Realtek HD audio driver is downloaded, this file may need to be run twice (run installer, reboot computer, run the installer a second time, then reboot the computer a second time) to properly install the audio driver.
Second, once the audio drivers have been updated, enable "Loudness Equalization" on either the Start --> Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Realtek HD Audio Manager --> Sound Effects tab, then click OK to save the setting change. Or on the Start --> Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Sound --> Speaker Properties (select Speakers then the Properties button) --> Enhancements tab, scroll down the list of sound effects to enable "Loudness Equalization" then select the OK button to save the setting changes.
Once the Realtek drivers have been updated and the "Loudness Equalization" has been enabled the system sound audio level is much louder, however the DVD and Audio CD audio levels might continue to be low for some users. Some find that setting the Equalizer, found under the Realtek HD Audio Manager Sound Effects tab or on the Speaker Enhancement tab, to "Powerful" seems to help with the sound levels.
As to the web camera video quality, these integrated web cameras will NOT give video camera quality video. And it appears that these integrated cameras are in the 1 MegaPixel range which also affects the video image quality. If the Toshiba Web Camera Application version is installed check the Settings page and experiment with the Profile setting to improve the video quality as well as the settings on the Advanced tab, also reducing the size of the video display window from 640x480 to a smaller video window size like 320x240 might also improve the video quality. And the amount of light in the room might also affect the image quality.

I have pavilion dv6 with the crackle pop sound issue.  It almost sounds like it crackles when the bass hits or higher notes.  I have tried disabling hp 3d thing, that didnt work.
I updated newest drivers.  Just very frustrating.

    updated Atheros Wireless LAN Driver
Fixed issue, so far, Will see if problem stays away if so I'll not send it in for repairs.
First time says christmas, i have been able to use my notebook.  HP FAIL.
How did the techs not even update my drivers when i sent it in for repair.  They did more work than necessary changing out speakers that were perfectly fine.

  • Buzz sound in my laptop left speaker

i have pavilion dv6 notebook pc with windows 7 home premium installed on it. My problem that i have a buzz sound comes from my left speaker when i play songs. That's happened when i was playing music and hearing from headphones then electricity went off and i was plugging the laptop without battery. When i reboot my laptop the sound wasnt good so i restored my pc to factory settings and the problem isn't solved. Note: before i did that factory settings restore, i've made a minimal system recovery a week before it.

    Hi,
I am not sure why you would run your laptop without a battery. The sudden loss of electricity might have damaged your laptop.
Insert a commerical music CD and see if you get the same noise.
Do you have the same issue when the battery is installed?
Try wiggling the headset connection with the headset being plugged and unplugged and see if that changes the speaker sound.
Try your laptop on a known good electrical circuit.  A faulty ground or neutral wire can cause a similar buzz or hmmm. If you are using a surge protector or UPS then remove those items from the connection path.
