Sounds like a video problem from the description. The only way to say your info on the HDD is to use a adapter to USB and use another computer to search your HDD and save your infomation before it is lost.

  • Mac Pro during start up, chimes, apple logo then shuts down.  Just began

My Mac Pro (with Cinema Display) during start up, chimes, fan, apple logo then shuts down.  Just began. Will not complete the boot

The chime is generated in software when your Mac passes the Power-On Self Test. If a suitable source of software can be found, booting is likely.
The dark gray Apple is not resident in any ROM. It can appear only after it is loaded from a boot device.
Your Mac will shut down during boot-up if the Boot Drive is so damaged that it cannot be mounted.
So focus your energy on repairing your Boot Drive using Recovery_HD or the 10.6 DVD, as appropriate.

My iPad air would not start.  Only show the apple logo then no reaction after that.  This is already the 2nd time.  Last time I sent back to the service center and they said it is the system problem and reset the system and charge me for the service because they said it is not a hardware problem.  It happened less then 30 days and same problem again.  Can someone please send me the hard-reset step so I can try myself before I send back to the service center again?  thanks

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
    Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.

    Hello s0ha1b
If all you get is the Apple logo and it powering off, then the next step is to put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you have a back up, then you can put that on there to once the restore is complete.
If you can't update or restore your iOS device

MMy MacBook pro will not start up. It goes past the apple logo then only a grey screen, sometimes a blue one with vertical stripes. I have tried starting from a disc also by using different keys, but with the same result. At one point i heard three beeps then a pause repeated. Please help.

See if you can run an Apple Hardware Test:
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201257
Note an error free AHT is not definitive.
If addition to the possibility of a RAM problem, the vertical stripes on the blue screen is not a good sign.

Refurbished iPod touch 3rd gen won't start.  Just got it today to replace my broken one. It freezes at the screen with the apple logo, then flashes off and tries to restart again. Help!

I have tried holding the power home button but all that does is turn it off. When I try to start it again it goes into the same loop.

  • MacBook Pro won't start. Apple Logo then Circle with bar across

Problems started yesterday. I noticed that my MacBook Pro was running really slow. Every time I clicked on something, it took for ever. Today, it seemed fine until about an hour ago when it started running slow again.
I decided to check Disk First Aid, but the computer froze before I was even able to access the contents of the Utilities folder.
I tried to restart, but the computer just seemed to freeze.
I reset the PRAM, then restarted: it got to the Apple Logo, then a circle with a bar across it. Doesn't bode well and I'm thinking this means it can't access the disk?
I have ProSoft Data Rescue, and decided to boot from the CD, but couldn't even get the CD in there. Can't remember if there is a CD in the MacBook Pro?
I did a quick search through the help forum, and did a restart by holding down the V key. Here is what I get:
loading kernel cache file ..... Read error )x7
    Loading 'mach kernel'
Could not open file "mach kernel"
    Error loading kernel 'mach_kernel" (0x9)
whew. does not feel good right now. like I said, I've using my MacBook, have an ethernet cable, and ProSoft DataRescue, but I'm not sure which direction to go.
    Help!!!

    Update:
This morning, the computer started up. Amazing. Amazingly slow, but it started.
I decided it was best to try and save docs, so I put in a dvd, moved some files in there, tried to burn - mind you, this took about 1/2 an hours because it was SO slow - went out and watered the garden, came back and... the burn was unsuccessful. Apparently there were some errors with docs.
At this point, I decided to try and use the Data Rescue disc, but now the burn disc wouldn't come out. It was a "burn folder" and the disc was nowhere to be seen. Maybe I messed up something while trying to burn, I don't know. Anyway, I tried to restart, hoping this would get the dvd out, but the shutdown took forever that I finally just forced quit.
    Please help!

  • I was updating my ipod and i lost wifi, so i turned off my ipod, and when i tried to turn it on it went to the normal apple logo then flashed and went to a pink screen. Ive tried restoring it, but it hasnt worked. PLEASE HELP

So i was updating my ipod earlier yesterday, i kinda steal wifi from the neighbors so it was pretty weak.... i lost wifi (i think) because it stopped loading, so i turned off my ipod. And when i tried turning it on again it did the apple logo then went to a full out pink screen. Ive tried turning it back on and off a billion times, and sometimes the screen colors will change. I recently just tried restoring it like 10 times and usually itll just interenwrupt the restoring process. By the way, wh i plug it into the computer it doesnt recognize the device. I had to put it into recovery mode. Pleasehelp, this ipotd is my life. I cant take it to the apple store because its badly cracked, and ive had it for about 2 y and a half years. PLease help.

    Hi-
I had the same thing happen to me Thursday night, and I just got mine right 30 minutes ago (and it is now Saturday am). Like you I repeatedly tried to restore it (by holding down the home key and powere button at the same time; then plugging it up to my computer and trying to get it to restore through iTunes). My computer didn't initially recognize my ipod either. - One thing- be sure that your battery isn't dead/dying. If it is, charge it (it should charge-mine did), then start the process of restoring it again. Make sure when you hold the home and power keys down that you are linked to iTunes.- You will eventually get a screen that has the itunes icon it, with a usb cable underneath it. At that point your computer will recognize your ipod, and you'll be able to restore it...This will take a LONG time.- Good luck.

  • Computer boots with Apple logo then goes black

So my MacBook Pro boots up withe the Apple logo then goes black as if the it is set on the lowest dim setting, you can just barely make out the icons on the screen so it is booting into the log on screen. I tried brightness, I tried holding down shift, you get a flash of blue then goes black. I tried the startup disk it starts up and goes black, you can just make out the outline of the language selection on the startup disk.
    Any suggestions.

    1. Try doing a Parameter RAM reset - hold down apple/option/p/r keys at start up and wait for three chimes before releasing the keys.
    2. Boot holding down Apple/S and don't let go until you see scrolling text.
When that stops and you see a root#: prompt enter
    fsck -fy
Let it run through all the checks and repairs.
If it fails first time, at any time, or finds and fixes a fault - run the command again and keep doing so (some fixes can take several passes) until it says "Appears to be OK" then enter
    reboot

  • Menu flashes, then apple logo, then menu... Help!

I bought a used 40GB Apple TV on eBay (yes, that was probably my first mistake).
The first time I turned it on, it set up language, network, etc. with no problem, but when it got to syncing with iTunes, the 5-digit code would "blink" on the screen (about 1 sec) and would then show me the Apple logo, then a new 5-digit code, the Apple logo again, etc. - and would continue this indefinitely.
I pressed menu to get that to stop and it went through the opening graphics - then when it finally got to the menu, it did the same thing with the menu - menu for 1 second, then the Apple logo, menu, logo, etc. I've made sure everything is plugged in (it is), I've done everything I can to make sure it isn't a network issue (network is working fine) and I've restarted several times. I've also restored factory settings and it made no change. Sometimes when I restart it is fine for a minute or two, but it always goes back to the menu to logo pattern.
I have two computers and I have made sure that both of them are off to make sure it isn't a connection issue with one of them.
Please help! - I was so looking forward to my Apple TV and am SO disappointed!

My problem started after a factory reset.
I had the same problem and found that pulling the network connection immediately stopped the back and forth between the Apple logo and the menu. If I plug the cable back in it immediately starts again.
Also, as soon as I put in my wireless network settings the problem comes right back.
It appears that this problem is caused by something the Apple TV is trying to do related to the network.
I reset my router and now everything is working fine.
Perhaps others could confirm whether resetting their routers fixes the problem for them and perhaps Apple could get something in the FAQ if resetting the router is the answer.
