DV6000 wont start (No LED lights or anything)

2. Windows XP 2005
3. Unable to get that far, so no error I know of.
4. No changes recently
Hello, I have been given a DV6000 from a friend to fix and he didn't have a charger so I bought a new one. The one I purchased is a DC359A AC Adapter, it is 18.5V --- 3.5A adapter which should be compatible with the DV6000. After plugging in the charger a blue ring around the plug lights up, but no additional LED's turn on. I have tried a hard reset and many other common fixes none have worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am pretty decent with computers but this is one that I cant even find out whats wrong, I am only 16 so I would like to keep my spending down to a minimum for this fix. Alright I figured it out, in my task manager under processes it was still running so I closed it, now it opens fine

Curve wont start and red light flashes

I was on my way home on the train and running low on batteries, but thought i had enough to quickly browse the applications.
I'd installed the free Time app earlier that day and checked it out, and it wasnt really to my taste, so I decided to delete the app. It warned me the blackberry would need to restart which was fine, only it turned off and didnt come back on.
I thought it had just ran out of battery but now after four hours of charging, and plugging it to my PC the blackberry still wont start. My laptop wont even recognise its plugged into anything and every button I press just gets the flashing red light.
Can anyone help? Is there a manual reset button on the device?

I had this happen one time to my 8530... and I thought my heart was going to break. I'm an engineer so I have a bad habit of breaking and fixing, as I have learned that it's the best way to become an expert on any given piece of technology...
Anyway, I was able to fix my Berry by attaching it to my Mac, and letting the computer load the OS on it. Make sure it's plugged in with the desktop manager when you boot the phone your desktop manager should prompt you if you want to reload the OS...
Basically that's what the flashing red light means... you corrupted your OS, and now needs a reinstall.
It takes about an hour to do...

Macbook pro wont start and charger light blinking yellow. help!

Yesterday i were outside for an hour or two with my macbook. It was cold outside and i had the case on. Before i left, the battery life was full and when i came home, my macbook didnt start and the charger light were blinking yellow constantly. I bought it may 2012 so i guess i could send it in for a repair, but i hoped for a another easier and faster solution. Please help anyone?!

Keep it plugged in for a while, it may start charging.

"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
If this does not help, contact Apple.

PS4 Console wont turn on ( No light or anything else)

My PS4 i have had for under forty days has stopped working, i try to turn it on by pressing the power button but i doesnt work and i have also tried to turn it on using the controller but still nothing. Recently i took off the cords and opened the PS4 to see if that would help, still nothing. This has happened before numerous times but when it did all i did was put the power plug out and then back in AND boom it was working, but now this time i tried that but it didnt work. help please.

Check the fuse in the plug Opening the console when it's only 40 days old has invalidated any warranty so you can't even take it back to the store for an exchange

Satellite U920 ultabook-tablet wont start

Hi everyone.
Just purchased the new Laptop/tablet 3 days ago.
Other than Windows 8 fustrating me death, the computer is wonderful..
until today.
Wont start !!
Lights come on... but now ones home..
I tried it with the battery as well as mains power.
When I press the start button...
the 2 / lights come on as usual.
Keyboard lights come on as well.
An thats about all that happends..
Eventually, after a minute, the computer will beep 3 times slowly then shut down.
No screen at all.. not even a light from the monitor..
Pretty annoyed as its only 3 days old...
Any advise ??

The new notebook should function properly if its not the case, then either the hardware or software cause the problem.
I think its hardware so why you dont get in contact with your notebook dealer and ask for new notebook.

Might be time to replace the PRAM Battery, 4 years is close to their lifespan, far less if ever without AC power, & can cause strange startup problems...

If that has no effect, then your only recourse is to take your machine to your local Apple Store/AASP and have them run diagnostics on the machine.

Phone turns off and led light blinks wont turn back on

I have the 8100 and have had it for about 2 weeks I bought it off line since my old phone broke. This morning I took it off my charger and went to a meeting after the meeting I looked at my phone and the led light was blinking I hit a button and nothing happened. I then tried to turn the phone back on but nothing happened. I removed the battery waited 5 minutes then put it back in and it started to work again. But again the same thing happened. I tried this multiple times but nothing change it still went back after a few minutes. I took the battery out sim card and memory card out for an hour then put them back in and the same thing happened. Has anyone had this happen before and is there anything I can do for it. Again after I turn my phone on it "shuts off" the led light blinks like I have a message but I ca not do anything the only way to get it out of this is to remove the battery and put it back in but it reverts back to this in a few minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).
If it doesn't boot--try using a wall outlet charger if you are not. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed, which you can download below.
Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Notebook and getting a blank or black screen on startup. Try performing a hard reset. When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.
If that does not help try to turn on the computer you start to press F11 repeatedly till the menu opens. You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.
If you can't get to the System restore menu. Here is a document on computer won't start.

Power Mac 2.7 - Red LEDs on CPUs - Wont Start

Just finished replacing the O-Rings on my previously working 2.7Ghz Power Mac G5 and have been having a ball trying to get this thing to start again.
When I attempt to power it up, the front panel's LED lights up only when I push it and turns off immediately after I release it. After I push that, the fans spin up as they usually do, but I never hear the chime. After 2-5 seconds CPU A (The one closest to the HDDs) has an LED on its board that lights up. After 5-15 seconds (Changes each time) CPU B's LED lights up and then the machine just sits there and never goes any farther.
I have hit the PMU reset button a number of times to reset it, as well as leaving the PRAM battery out. Neither of which have helped.
The computer still does react to the plastic cover being removed as the fans spin up and the red LED comes on. I have 2 1GB Apple DDR sticks each in slot 1 of A & B.
What is the meaning of the two LEDs on the CPUs, and what could be the possible culprit of this machine no longer turning on?

Did you replace the Thermal paste between the CPUs & Heatsinks?
LED 1—CPU A: red—contact Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider
LED 2—Overtemp: red—contact Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider
LED 3—Power On: red—the main power is on
LED 4—Trickle: yellow—Power Mac G5 is plugged into the wall correctly
LED 5—Open Firmware good: green—no problem
LED 6—CPU B: red—contact Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider
LED 7—Checkstop: red—contact Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider

Hate to say it but if the light doesn't even come on - sure sounds like a hardware issue (assuming you've got it plugged in: not meant to be insulting, just been there done that)
The good news: believe your still in warranty. Report the problem directly to Apple.

Satellite P10-554 turns off, cant start again, but led lights still burning

my P10-554 shuts down after few minutes. after that, i cannot start it again, but the led lights are still burning. when i wait a few minutes or hours, then i can reboot my notebook again, but he runs for about one or two minutes and then shuts himself down again...

Usually if the AC adaptor is connected to the PC some LED are on. For example the battery LED lights green when its fully charged.
However, its not usual that the notebook shuts down after several minutes of running and for me it sound definitely like a hardware fault.
The problem is that a common user like me and you is mostly not able to fix or locate the malfunction. You need definitely a help from a technician with much more experience.
The ASP guys could run the diagnostic tests and are able to find out whats wrong on the board.

First it would be helpful if you post the exact model, year and OS version you have.

So that light is the sleep indicator and tells us that the laptop is going to sleep when you close the lid. That would be normal behavior so the machine is still working. Possibly you're experiencing a backlight failure. With the machine supposedly "on" use a flashlight to carefully examine the screen. Do you see the desktop? Yes? machine is still running and something is wrong with the backlight.
You should immediately backup your computer or at the very least pull vital files off. With the computer hooked to another Mac (The way this is done depends on the exact MacBook, E.g.FireWire 800 to FireWire 800.) Then you restart the computer and hold the "t" key down. This puts your MacBook into "target mode":

Once your files are off try an SMC reset:

Are you able to get the backlight back on by opening and closing the display? Yes? Broken backlight cable refer to qualified service place. Even if it doesn't come on and you can still see the desktop with a flashlight it is still probably the backlight. Could be the a backlight problem also.

You may indeed have a dead battery.
Try a reset: hold the power and home buttons down together for about 1 minute or until the Apple logo appears. If that doesn't bring the phone back, you'll need to go to Apple.
