Dv7-4000 series Bottom case

Hi. I have a DV7-4000 series Laptop (4010TX). By accident I smashed it on a wooden cupboard and the left sided hing and the bottom case were damaged. The lap boots up normally and the cooler fan apprears to be working fine. But a tremendous amount of  heat is leaked out from the damaged end requiring me to replace the hing and the plastic (or Fiber) bottom case. Can anyone inform me where to purchase a Bottom Cover for this particular model please. Hing can easily be bought from e-bay, but not the botto case. Thanks.

  • HDMI + VGA Question // HP DV7-4000 series.

    Dear Friends,
I have a question about usig external monitor(s) with my HP DV7.  The specific model # is DV7-4287cl
I have both an HDMI port and a VGA port on this model. I plan to use an external monitor with it but I wonder if it is not possible to use two external monitors with it given I have two separate ports?
This may be a dumb question but I have a specific need to use an external monitor with my notebook, and having two instead of one wouldn't be a bad option.
    Many thanks, in advance.
    This question was solved.

You can use one external monitor. The hdmi port will provide a much clearer sharper picture, but either that or the vga port will be acceptable. Two outputs is the limit of the video card, and one of those is always the built in laptop display.

  • Pavillion g6 bottom case

My bottom case has been broken where the screen hinge fits in. Please note that this problem has been reported several times. I am an electric engineer and I want to replace it my own. I can find such cases for the g6 2000 and 2100 series and want to know if it fits on my g6 2221ev model.

    Hi there @johnny-greece
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel.
I understand that you are looking for compatible replacement parts for your notebook, and I am happy to help.
Please see the attached: HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide
That guide shows the compatible parts and components and how to remove and replace them.  If the parts you describe are in this document then it is compatible. Since you describe parts for notebooks that fall under this document, they should be compatible as well, but refer to this document to be sure.

  • I had the bottom case of my MacbookPro replaced and now I can't print help?

Hi I had the bottom case to my Macbook Pro 2.33 Ghz intel core 2 duo replaced. Prior to this the machine worked perfectly. Now it can't connect to the internet using DHCP and it won't print either over the internet or with the printer plugged in directly. I can connect over airport to the internet if I manually put in the IPv4 address, the Subnet mask and the Router address. These are the only things I have found (so far) that are affected. I dowloaded and reinstalled the printer driver and it still doesn't work. Any ideas as to what they have done to my machine ?
    Thanks

When the ethernet cable is plugged in it does show as plugged in. The interesting thing is that the self assigned IP and Subnet mask address is the same as the self assigned IP and Subnet mask address is for Airport and they don't work. I have to manually enter them and the router address in order to go on the internet. There are 4 other computers using this network and no other computer on the network is having this issue nor did this laptop prior to the bottom case replacement, so I don't think it is the router modem or airport extreme base station.
    It shows:
    IPv4 address: 169.254.197.177
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
These numbers are quite off from what they should be. Also this doesn't show a router address and it should.

Click on the Apple and then on about this Mac. In the new window, click on the "version 10.9.2" until you see the serial number displayed.

  • Mac Pro OSX 10.8.3 HP 4000 series scanners are not detecting.

Well..I think, I did everything. I have followed all instructions recommended by HP. I have updated and installed latest drivers. I have even searched the warez sites to find a trick. Useless, useless and useless.
Hardware is retina display with 256 GB SSD, 1600 mGz  8 GB ram and I7 processor. OSX version is 10.8.3
HP 4000 series scanners are not detecting by this machine. Vuescan is detecting but the scanning quality is also terrible.
Strange. I have nothing to say.

For the Scanjet 4850, follow the link below and click on the instructions tab.  It looks like you have to get the software and drivers for 10.6 and run a patch to make them work with 10.8.  That should get the scanner installed and working.
Scanjet Software Patch to Use OS X 10.6 Software and Driver on OS X 10.7 and 10.8
For the Scanjet G4050, all you should need to do is install the driver from the link below to be able to use the scanner with image capture and other similar products.

Pure aluminum is soft and rich ductility, but the majority of commercial aluminum require greater strength than pure aluminum.
So it is necessary to add other elements to produce a variety of alloys to achieve this requirement.
By rolling with the different levels of the heat treatment process can produce the strength 2kg/mm2 ~ 60kg/mm2 strength level of the product, to apply to the products of various strength requirements.

  • The left hinge has an odd gap and the bottom case has clicking noise.

I just noticed that my 19-day-old macbook pro has an uneven hinge gap.
    And the bottom case has squeaky noise when I lifting the macbook pro with one hand;
as well as when I pressing lightly where the spots near the batteries that under the trackpad.
Should I go to retail store to get repair or do something?

Please make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service.

  • Why doesn't applecare cover the bottom case pads?

Hi, this is a question I should have just asked at my appointment, but I was in a real rush to get to work, so I just accepted it and went on, but anyway:
One of the little black pads the macbook pro rests on to avoid heat collection fell off my computer (no physical damage, or anything else), and it turns out the entire bottom case has to be replaced to fix that.  It's a little crazy, but the Genius just said newer models have to have the bottom replaced to avoid internal damage from re-gluing.  Not only that, but the warranty doesn't cover it (under any circumstances, was the implication).
It's an annoying $40 dollars to spend, but really I'm just a little curious as to why this would be, when they're pretty generous if you have Applecare in most other cases.

  • HP dm1 4000-series keyboards

Hi, I bought HP dm1-4310nr netbook from US and run into a problem.
As you know US uses different keyboard layout than we here in Europe.
I was hoping to replace the keyboard from my pc by buying nordic version from ebay.
Only flaw is that there isn't any version of this  precise keyboard model in market though.
Is some other 4000-series's keyboard compatible with this one?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi,
You bought a special edition (suffix nr) therefore you can't find keyboard in other region. You can easily find keyboard for your region if you bought a normal dm1 machine as shown on page 43 of the following document:
        http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02666702.pdf
For your machine, pleae check page #55 on the first manual of the following link:
       http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&lc=en&product=5328049
You may want to try part from the first document, this may or may not work.

  • MacBook Pro Retina 15" Late 2013 Bottom Case £?

Had my MacBook Pro Retina for just over 2 months. Very careful to look after it but unfortunately due to a freak accident I damaged the bottom case.
It is just a bad scratch - but tried to polish it out but that took the mat finish off it.
Contacted Apple to see what it would cost to replace but they say I have to bring it in to Apple Store to get a price and they will have to take it off me.
    Questions:
    1) How much will the bottom case cost to replace? Like to know before I take it in.
    2) Will it have the etched MacBook Pro black writing on the bottom and what happens regarding the serial number? Is it just blank? Seems crazy they etch the serial on the bottom knowing that the part might have to be replaced!

    3) is there a difference between the early 2013 bottom case and late 2013 bottom case?

  • Extended warranty for a cracked bottom case replacement?

I just heard from my friend who has a white macbook. Apple extends the bottom case warranty up to 3 years, so he got the free replacement on this May. I googled it but there were not solid answer. Have you guys heard about the warranty thing?
    Thanks.

Are you talking about the portion of the computer with the keyboard/trackpad? If so, most of the folks who've had the issue have reported getting the part replaced (including myself). Take the computer to an Apple store and see if the folks there can help you.
