DV8 - NQ226AV - Updated with wrong BIOS

Unfortunately I updated this laptop with a Bios that was geared for a different model. The BIOS functioned and now I'm in BSOD hell.
Anyway to make a BIOS USB that I can back this update out?
When I try to restore the previous BIOS that Flash tool returns a Blue Screen.
I'm stuck.

I understand that you accidentally updated with the wrong BIOS, I am happy to help with this.
Take a look at this page and see if you can update the BIOS from the backup. If not then the document continues on to other methods.
Restoring the BIOS
You can find the correct BIOS on the support page for your notebook. Normally the BIOS file has several options, and should be able to create a USB flash drive with the BIOS image.

RG1 Updation with Wrong Classification - J1i5 Transaction

Dear All,
We are facing a problem related to RG1.
User has wrongly updated RG1 register in J1i5 Transaction with classification " IDE" (Removal on payment of duty for export under no bond) . Record should have been updated with classification " IWE" (Removal without payment of duty for export under bond).
Please advise how to change the classification for RG1 so that RG1 register comes correctly.

u201CRG1 there is no special cases for domestic and export, it is only the report to update part 1 entries (quantities) for the receipts and Issues for the finished product.---SAP standardu201D
Even though excise invoice type is also maintain properly in J1IIN,
for example: while updating of RG1 in J1I5 with classification IDH all entries is coming for updation including domestic sales, export sales, deemed export etc,
After extracting the registers both with IDH and IWE differently, the extracted fille for IDH shows the qty under Removal from the factory On Payment of duty but with Zero excise values for Letter of undertaking and For deemed values coming but the both the case excise duties are coming in Rg1 register.
and the IWE extract fils shows the Without payment of duty under Exports under this qty is updating and without Values and Excise duties are coming in Rg1 register
IWE Removal without payment of duty for export under bond
Classification for Export in LoU - Letter of Undertaking ,BOND and DEEMED will be IWE classification .
When you update the register in J1I5 ( Comp Code / Plant / Exc Group / Posting date / Classificaiton is required fields).
based on selection system fetch all the material documents.
Provide logic to the ABAPer,
" first fetch all the Material documents & year from MKPF table= Header: Material Document
now fetch the excise details from Excise header / item tables where (Excise transaction type / ref doc1 & ref indicator 1 for Excise details ) & and
(Excise transaction type / doc yr / doc no- from Excise header) as search criteria store in Internal table
now delete the records from internal table, where classification equal to IDH- & Export indicator not equal to "----"(blank)
then you will find the list of only domestic sales.
(similarly for each classification, this coding should be incorporated in Tcode:SE37: J_1I7_USEREXIT_J1I5_VALIDATE).

Customers updated with wrong Telephone number - SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL

Hi All,
When we are updating bulk of customers, a particular telephone (ADR2-TEL_NUMBER) is updated for the bulk of customers. This is weird. This is happening when we update customer master with SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL. This is not happening all the time. And, this is happening for around 5 telephone numbers (till now).
Looks like, the address data is not cleared from SAP memory, and is used to update the subsequent customers. But, I wonder how many days this data will be stored in SAP memory, as I can see the customers got updated with same tel no after few months as well.
Is it some thing related to function ADDR_MEMORY_CLEAR.
Did any of you face the same issue? Please let me know your views on this.

Unfortunately, I can not provide you the code snippet. Its not just one program, this is happening in different processes (each having some thousands of Lines of Code). This is not happening all the time. It is very rare issue and happening from mid 2009 (But, we have identified recently). As per our analysis, this is not a data issue.

Updated with wrong Prokit update

Hello Everyone, I recently did a Prokit update on the www.apple.com. However, I should have only did the 4.5 Prokit update for my operating system but I also did 5.0 and since then I have not been able to launch Logic Pro. I'm wondering if there is a way to undo what I've done with the 5.0 update? I think the only issue I'll have once that is fixed is to make sure all my loops and where they need to be in soundtrack Pro. I'm most concerned about adjusting the Prokit update for my operating system 10.4.11 so it's the right update. Thanks

Hi Erv, not certain but perhaps you could re-install the 4.5 Update if you remove the PKG stubs from Library>Receipts for those last two.

New Iphone updated with wrong user

just got a iphone 5 and i just went to get some apps and some thing poped up and it said new iphone and i went threw and it said to backup on my moms phone i said yes and all her contacts are on the phone and songs.

So what has been your phone before you get iPhone5?
If was an iPhone, did you have created a back up before in a computer or iCloud?
If your phone has been a iPhone and you backed up somewhere, you should sync your device with.
1. To get the back up from iCloud: In your iPhone 5, open Settings>>iCloud, then sign in with your Apple ID and password. Wait for a while and Voila';
2. To get the back up from your PC: plug your device in your pc and open iTunes, then select your device and click restore.
If you never backed up your old iPhone, I advice you to back up your old iPhone by iCloud. Then you can sign in iCloud in your new iPhone and all contacts, photos, calendars, notes and so on goes to your new iPhone automatically.

If you had iTunes Match updated with all of your non iTunes purchased content already, then yes, when you enable iTunes Match with the following article it will have all the content that has been uploaded to iTunes Match will be available for download.

Why is Toshiba crippling the performance of the CPU ,FSB and Memmory speed with each bios update
when perchased bios version 1.60
*    internal clock speed 2001 MHz
update to Bios version 1.80
*   internal clock speed 1995 MHz
     crippled performance by .5 %
update to Bios version 2.50
*    internal clock speed 1993.4
     crippled performance by 1.95 %
*    other issues fan coming on more often
     intel wireless unstable
     etc
in this last Bios update 2.50 a noticable drop in performance under load

i am very much in favor of stability ,reliability and performance but the fact remains
that Toshiba Techs have made a conscious  and willfull decision to under clock the laptop and make no
mention that the bios updates may result in processing reduction, as for the call to tech support it was fruitless
because they are clueless as to why such things happen (Corporate Denial).
In Canada there were two very close speced laptops
one for 899.00 CAD with 1.9 GHz CPU
and the one I bought 2 months ago 1149.00 CAD 2.0 GHz
To me this looks like Toshiba overclocking the laptop to get out the retail door.
its not just affecting me, it affects everyone that buys a Toshiba laptop.
I will not back down on this point. The origional advertised and paid for specs, should
be restored in an upcoming bios update. If not, then it just confirms my original
findings.
This is refered to as "BAIT and SWITCH" and the practice is illegal in Canada.

Sometimes bios recovery is a long shot .
But the award bios v.6 is supposed to be able to do it if the bootblock is still intact.
Best way seems to be to strip it down to minimal configuration , disconnect all drives except floppy , one ram module , perhaps without video card also .

While working with DOS (true DOS such as MS-DOS 6.22, not Windows-based command line) on Toshiba Satellite A665-12W with ROM-BIOS version 1.50, the ROM-BIOS "Interrupt 13h" functions report bad geometry for most of USB-plugged CompactFlash cards.
I tested it with many different CompactFlash cards and many different USB card readers.
Int 13h, function 15h incorrectly repports 1023 cylinders for small cards having less than 1023 cylinders. The number of heads and sectors-per-track is good. The resulting computed total of sectors is bad, making the card almost unusable.
Int 13h, function 48h incorrectly repports the drive as having only one sector (sometimes zero sector), making the flash drive unusable.
These problems do not show up with same cards and card readers on other computers.
I can provide details if needed:
Make and models of cards and card readers (many of them).
Copy of the ATA "identify device" information block of the cards.
Assembler language program samples.

It is impossible to update the latest BIOS for Satellite L40-17S

First of all why are there so many BIOS updates in a short time? I get my brand new L40-17S (20/05/08) with the BIOS 1.70, the Tempro software from Toshiba give me the warning to update it to 1.80 that works fine, after a few day's a new warning update it to 1.90 and now 2.00 in June! The problem is that I can't update anymore above 1.80, when I click on the winflash.exe only a short screen and then nothing.

I really want to have the latest BIOS before I install SP1.

Wrong BIOS installed on Satellite A200

I had a Satellite A200 laptop and i downloaded and installed a wrong BIOS. Then I rebooted my laptop and it's blank. I researched and downloaded many programs but I don't have a USB floppy Disk Drive. I downloaded phlash16, created a autoexec.bat file, and follow every direction I read from different post from different websites.
Can someone please help me recover my BIOS using virtual floppy drive from USB and can someone please give a step by step process on how to reflash BIOS. My Laptop is Toshiba Satellite A200. Please give me a BIOS for my Laptop.

Im afraid you have to contact the ASP in your country in order to solve this issue
Toshiba driver page does not contain any traditional BIOS updates but only Win-based BIOS update this means that you will not be able to update the BIOS using an floppy disk because you dont have an traditional BIOS version

Flashed the wrong bios to Pavilion dv7- 6b57nr

My system was running really slow, with constant lockups, I tried every this to get it to function faster, it only improved slightly. I accidentally flashed the wrong bios to the system. the unit powers up, and the cap locked keys flashes twice then pauses, then twice again.

That mistake is very unlikely. Kt3 uses AMI-bios, K7n Award-bios. There is also a big age difference. But the bios versions are numbered in a similar way:

My advice is not to update with that version, especially not with LiveUpdate. Make sure the Kt3 Ultra2 motherboard I linked to is your exact motherboard, and if you really-really need to update BIOS, download from there and do a "manual" update. If you do not have a problem: Do n o t update!
I might add that the numbering of BIOS versions is a little confusing sometimes. What is the exact name/number of the "11.5" version?

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922

Hi folks,
I have a HP Elitebook Folio 9470p. It came with Windows 8, and I installed it on my corporate domain. I was trying to do some Windows updates so I could upgrade it to Windows 8.1, but it fails installing the updates, whether or not I try
to install them one at a time or all of them. It has about 18 updates it needs from security updates to a .net framework update. I run Symantec EP, and disabled it, checked for driver updates for things like display and networking and they are
all up to date.
I'm at a loss as to what to do. It gives this error in the event log for each file, Event ID 20.
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: Security Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2862152).
This is the example for KB2862152, but it gives the same error for every one. I've tried to auto fix for Windows update issues and it fixed a couple of the issues, but not all of them, and provides no other help.
I also deleted folders and files from the SoftwareDistribution folder as well, to no avail. Any ideas what I can do to get whatever updates it needs, so I can fully patch it, and upgrade it to Win 8.1?

GOOD NEW ! At this time, my issue is solved. The only black side is "how ?" : I hope that we will get a response some day ; however, and for in information pnly - hoping this could help someone - I resume some actions which allowed this the happy end
1) about installing 8.1 : I wanted to be sure that gain/pain ratio was positive, and that upgrading from a (potentially) damaged system would'nt produce something looking like a new Win 8.1, but difficult to maintain and keeping some negative potentialities.
2) I was influenced by the fact that this
0x800F0922 error acted as "a serial killerror", whose root cause could be a unique update error at reboot time concerning several (>20) packages, so I decided to test some manual upgrades.
3) Manual update (i.e. manual download and maunching of .msu packages) of the 2 following packages
(whose update previously failed on a Windows Update) was successful : .NET Framework version 3.5 for x64 (KB2898866) and Camera Codec Pack Windows 8 for x64 (KB2899190)
4) So I decided to try Windows Update on a selection of packages, first : those concerning .Net Framework 3.5 and 4.5 (that is: KB2898866, 2901120, 2898865) --> Successful !
5) finally, I selected almost all other packages, with some exceptions wich I (think to) have no need for : KB2871690, 2904659, 2843630. To be complete, here is the list of pakages updated one time at all :
KB 2892074, 2893294, 2893984, 2909210, 2912390, 2916036, 2889784,2903938, 2911101, 2913152, 2917499
--> always succesful.
I am not a specialist, but I uess that this 0x800F0922 error hides another problem which is globally "H-RESULTED"
to all updates pending in one update operation with reboot. This could be assumed from this CBS.log exterped from my last wrong attempts, where root cause seems not to be
0x800f0922, but 0x80004003 :

And I hope that you - Mr Kywildcat - can upgrade your system on "current levels" trying similar attempts.
