Dvcpro HD appears pixelated in CS5

Hey I just upgraded to Premiere Pro CS5 from CS4 and now all my dvcpro hd files appear all pixelated.  I originally upgraded as CS4 would no longer export, just freezing when I went to export > media.  Now all my files that play fine in CS4 and P2 viewer come up super pixelated and kind of "fall apart" with fast motion in CS5.  I've set my resolution to full and turned frame blending off which helped slightly but didn't solve the issue.  Everything was shot at 720 30p and I am currently running Premiere 5.0.3.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm currently overseas shooting a project and am currently unable to do anything with any of my footage!
Cheers,
John

Forgot to mention I'm on a mac running osx 10.5.8

  • Why does my Indesign program appear pixelated every time I open it?

I have recently downloaded the Creative Suit 6 but every time I have tried to open Indesign it appears pixelated making it hard to use. Does anyone have an explination and/or solution to this problem?

Are you referring to the resolution of placed images? InDesign has different levels of preview quality that you can select to match the speed of your machine. The default level is "Typical," which is a low resolution image preview that draws quickly but looks horrid. Any reasonably modern machine should be able to handle the High Quality Display setting without choking on most files, and you can change it from the the View menu by choosing View > Display Performance > High Quality Display, but it's probably even better to open the application prefernces and change the default setting. You can choose to leave object level dispaly performance enabled which will allow you to set the preview individually for very large images that cause a delay while working.

  • Pdfs and screenshots opened in Photoshop are appearing pixelated, or not displaying at all.

Hi. I'm on a new iMac system. (iMac 27" retina - Yosemite OS X 10.10).
Whenever I take a screenshot and open it up in Photoshop by using File/Open and locating the screenshot, it is appearing pixelated.
The same thing is occurring when I try to open a pdf, or the pdf doesn't appear at all.
Here is a saved photoshop file (jpg) of how a screenshot is appearing in Photoshop. I just took a screenshot of this page for the purposes of this exercise. Other screenshots appear even more pixelated.
The only reason I am opening screenshots  in Photoshop is to crop them before posting anywhere or sending to anyone.
I'm selecting 'use the embedded profile (instead of the working space).
I'd attach the image of how a pdf is appearing in Photoshop but it is not displaying anything at the moment. A file does open to the right shape/size of the pdf but it appears blank.
I'm using File/Open locating the pdf file, I click OPEN, the specs I put in are: 300dpi, Select: Page1, Anti-aliased is ticked, Crop to Bounding Box, width: 19.8cm, height 8.8cm, contain proportions is ticked, 300dpi per inch, fit page, Bid depth: 8 bit, CMYK, Thumbnail size: Fit Page.
Which is everything I used to do on my old Mac, and which worked perfectly, but not working now. Wondering if it's a bug or if I'm missing something in Photoshop, due to it being an upgraded Photoshop version (CC2014).
This is how the pdf file of an advertisement I need to insert into a brochure appears in photoshop. If I open it again, it will again render differently.
Btw, the screenshot or the pdf file previews fine when about to open it (in the Finder/folder).

Correction for above: 'Bit depth' not ' Bid depth'

  • Help! INDD PDF file appears pixelated when projected, but not on laptop

    Hello, all,
I'm preparing an important presentation and want to ensure that my slides look great when projected at an event next week. I'm concerned because at a practice pitch a couple weeks ago, they appeared pixelated when projected, even though they looked beautiful on my laptop screen. This includes fonts and vector graphics. I had created the slides in InDesign 6 and exported to PDF. I'm posting screen shots of the file settings for each below. Should I have done something differently? Can anyone share best practices for exporting to PDF when the intent is to project the PDF from a laptop? I would really appreciate any advice.  Thanks!

Waiting on technical details of projector

If you're displaying the PDF with Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader then any vector content (graphics and text) will scale perfectly; the document setup in InDesign has no bearing other than to set a 4:3 aspect ratio for the pages (PDFs don't measure in pixels). As Rob says there's no getting around the resolution of the projector.
Given how PDFs behave there's no complex 'best practice' guide for on-screen or projected content driven by a desktop computer. You can work in any color space and use any combination of transparency, raster and vector content you wish, then just run  Export > Interactive PDF with the default options. If you're displaying via a mobile device it's a good idea to work in RGB, as some PDF-reading apps will mess up  CMYK>RGB conversion, and don't bother with any rich media (Flash/video).

  • When placing an image in InDesign, it appears pixelated.  It is a 66mb file in a 6x9" document.

I am new to InDesign, as I've been creating all my documents for print in Acrobat as a PDF.  When I am placing an image, it appears pixelated.

    Hi,
This is an expected behavior, when you place an image in InDesign then it display the preview of the image however you this has no impact on the output unless the image placed is of low-resolution itself.
In order to have good resolution of images, you may switch to View > Display Performance > High Quality.

some of my images in Aperture/iPhoto are appearing pixelated.  any idea on how to get the issue fixed

Where can I find a copy of that? Like if I were to completely delete everything on my ipod, what would I do to go about restoring my songs?
Also I have a theory that one of the videos on my ipod is causing all the other stuff. However, I can't delete videos off my ipod (see https://discussions.apple.com/message/20313736?ac_cid=tw123456#20313736). Is there any way i can get the music from the backup but not the videos?

  • Printed Graphics appear pixelated!?

    Dear InDesign comunity!,
I am working for a small Video-production company based in Austria, today i finished my first DVD Layout. (Cover+Label)
I designed the label in PS CC 2014, exported as PNG and printed with the software "CD Label Print", i believe, it came with our Canon MG6300 Inkjet, absolutely no Problems.
The Cover, however, i designed in ID CC, i have to admit, i am not very skilled with ID and i am not an expert on printing either. I also printed with our Inkjet directly out of ID, best settings, Photo paper and also told the printer, that i was going to use photo paper. The print settings in ID, i left at default, i only centered the image in the sheet.
Here, all graphics i used appear pixelated at the edges, the Graphics are very large and i know, they are not the problem, because i used two of them on the label as well and there they are perfect, even though they are even smaller than on the cover. I also exported the project to a PDF and there, when i zoom in, no problems at all.
I think i should also mention, that i used very small text on the cover as well. This looks good though, i don't think, that i could achieve much better results with an Inkjet.
But what did i do wrong with the graphics?? i think they were all either PSD or PNG i just dragged them from the finder window and placed them using the place-gun.
Does anyone have an idea, what i could do better next time? (besides taking the file to a print-shop)
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Greetings from Austria,
    Nigi

  • Extension not appearing in Photoshop CS5

    Hi,
I'm not being able to get my simple extension to show up on the window\extensions menu in photoshop CS5.
I'm using Flash Builder 4 CS5, with the CS SDK 1.5, without Extension Builder.
    I've tried everything.
The extension runs ok inside Flash Builder when I try to debug with AIR debugger without photoshop.
In the main xml file, I only included a simple function, and have managed to get all the importing right (auto-complete works on the document objects)
I have gone through everything that needed to be done to compile the extension, and it is being loaded ok in the extension manager.
I am using a certificate I created with ADT, according to the documentation:
    java -jar ucf.jar -package -storetype PKCS12 -keystore newcert.p12 -storepass 39#wnetx3tl com.example.helloworld.zxp -C "tt" .
(having all files from the output folder copied to a local folder named "tt")
I did all the builer-plate manifest file definition, by the book.
I used the Flex 3.4 SDK libraries, as described in the tutorial.
All can be seen in the attachement.
Here is my main xml file:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

Debug mode didn't work for me for some reason:
I added the registry debug flag (windows 7 64bit) in both the user-key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXSPreferences\PlayerDebugMode     REG_SZ     1
    And the local-machine key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\CSXSPreferences\PlayerDebugMode     REG_SZ     1
I tried puting the output files both in the common files folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CS5ServiceManager\extensions\
    And the user folder:
    C:\Users\arnon\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CS5ServiceManager\extensions\
Tried debugging both using the AIR debugger and the Web one...
    Nothing...
I tried updating the AIR2.0 SDK, as described by overriding the files, both in the Flash CS subfolder, and the CS SDK subfolder, as described.
I tried updating both flash CS and Flash Builder 4 CS5 to their latest patch.
    I'm all out of ideas...
    Please HELP!

    10x,
    You saved my ***!
It actually has to include both the PHSP "AND" the PHXS host names for it to work - this is stupid!
If I only use PHXS the extension manager is not able to install the extension, saying it cannot find a host that matches the manifest (even though my photoshop IS the extended variation, so in a sense it's more acurate manifest-wise), and if I only use the PHSP, it IS loaded but doesn't appear in the application!
AND THERE IS NO DOCUMENTATION ON THIS PHENOMENON ANYWHERE!
    THIS IS BEYOND IRRESPONSIBLE!
Thank you very much david, but please, as you are an adobe employee, get this message to the right people, if you can.
I know the corporate agenda would probabely be the incentivise people to register to the 1500$ program to get the extension-builder, by keeping the alternative inconvenient, but this issue is beyond inconvenient, it's border-line cruelty!

  • Still Images Appear Pixelated When put into iMovie

I've been working on iMovie 9, and have just downloaded the new iMovie 10 (I think that's the newest one!) anyway, when working on the previous iMovie any still images I uploaded from iPhoto appeared in my projects just fine, even when I was adding the Ken Burns effect etc. I have just imported this project into the new iMovie and now all of my still photos appear crystal clear for a second and then become horrifically pixelated.
I am completely new to this and need to get this sorted as it's for a university project and I just can't get past these horrible pixely images, when they were fine on the previous iMovie! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This should only be a temporary effect.  Once the clips have been converted in to ProRes (a background process) they will be OK.  If you do more editing the affected clips will again appear blurred until they are reprocessed.
(In iMovie 9 you had to wait for the clips to be transcoded when you imported them, before you could do any editing.  In iMovie 10 you don't have to wait but the transcoding is done in the background.)
    Geoff.

  • Why do vector graphics appear pixelated when zoomed in, isn't fireworks meant to support vectors?

I am new to using Fireworks, but I thought it would be great since it has both vector and bitmap support. However, when I work with vector tools and a vector image I imported from Illustrator, if I zoom into the image, it appears as though it's a bitmap. Also, if I were to resize the image down 25% and then bring it back up to a size similar to what it was at, it will look distorted and the quality will have changed? Why is this? I do this in Illustrator with no such results. I thought vectors should be able to be resized up, down, or up and down and they should look relatively the same. Any ideas, what is going on?
I have screenshots of this happening which I posted on a different forum. But if you want to see the screen shots, go here.

PLEASE HELP. Thanks in advance! I would really like to use fireworks, but with this issue I might have to use illustrator and ditch fireworks all together.

I realized Sitepoint wont let you see the screenshots without logging in (stupid)
Here is my graphic in illustrator:
Here is the graphic imported into Fireworks and you can see how bad it looks when I resize it.
You see how the starting image looks VERY different from the image after the resize. why?!?!?!?!?!??!?
