DVCPro HD export is very s-l-o-w-!-!-!

I am exporting a straight QT 40-minute DVCPro HD 1920x1080 sequence and it is only 53% percent done after 6 hours and it says it will take 5 more. What is going on??? I have never had such a slow export on this machine. Thanks.

How are you exporting? File>Export>Quicktime MOVIE? And is the sequence fully rendered before you exported? If not, FCP needs to render, THEN export. And that can take a long time.
Also...1920x1080 DVCPRO HD? DVCPRO HD at 1080 is 1280x1080...anamorphic.

You probably didn't get an answer because none exists within Lightroom.
You can perform a screen caputre of the Lightroom map, and use the resulting JPG/GIF of your screen, however there is no way to hyperlink the point on the map to your photos.
You might want to consider a non-Lightroom solution, such as uploading the photos to an Album on Flickr (or one of many other photo sharing web sites) and using the mapping capabilites there, which would be hyperlinked to your photos, see example below. You can use Lightroom to geotag the photos and then use Lightroom to upload to Flickr (or other web site) and then use the web site to create and display the map

Excise Duty Value in Export Invoice - Very Urgent

I have created a Export delivery & Billing Documents. I am trying to create Excise Invoice in which Excise Duty values are coming as "0". We are using TAXINN Procedure , ECC 6.0
Is there any specific note or any customization required for this ?
Due to this ARE1 is also giving "0" values & subsequent "0" value in Bond Register.
Can anybody help me on this ? It is very urgent.

Export & import - VERY URGENT- PROVIDE SOLN ASAP

plz tell me how to export and import for the following scenarios:
i installed oracle9i on windows 2003 server.
already databse is created in the name of orcl1.
i had taken backup of the database .dmp file it is in the location d:/oracle/orcl1/.dmp
now my target is
1. how to export and import .dmp file / database within the same machine.
2. how to export and import .dmp file from one system to another system.
to do the above 2 tasks
i have to login as what during export and import?
is any script has to be run b4 using it. if it so as which user i have to run the script?
what is the exact command i have to give for export and import?
plz tell me very clearly with the commands.
so that i can do it.

You can write exp on the command prompt,
and rest of the parameter will be asked by the oracle it self.
You need to mention whether you want to export whole database or users or tables etc.
Then you will mention the file that will be created as an export.
After that you can move that file to another system at any location and can import
Rememeber that If you have exported as DBA, you can only import as DBA.
The other thing is that if you have exported more than one users, then you need to mention
fromUser= username toUser=username while imorting.
Below is the command for import
import dba_username/paswd fromUser= username1 toUser=username1 file='path of the export file'
you have to do this for all the users exported.
You can also find out by searching on google etc the exact commands .// or oracel documentations regarding this features

The db version is 9.2.0.4
It is available on Sun Solaris V890 and OS is Solaris 9.
In general the performance is very good, but ONLY export is taking too much time. setting direct and buffer parameters didn't help.
Could you please let me know whether anything else needs to be done?.

Lightroom 3.3 export performance very sluggish - help?

Last night I installed the 3.3 update and I started editing a day's worth of photos. Everything seemed fine until I went to export the photos. I only had 140 photos, exported as jpg, 800x600, 72 dpi, so they were pretty small. Normally it would take upt to 5 minutes to do this, but last night after about an hour it was only 36% done. On top of that my entire system slowed down and froze up, and I had to reboot. Exporting the remaining photos took another hour, so rebooting didn't fix the problem.
If there isn't a fix released soon, I'll have to downgrade back to 3.2, though I'm not sure how to do that. My business is suffering because of this.
I'm operating a fast processor on a PC with 4 gigs of RAM so I should be fine. The performance was excellent until the recent upgrade, and I haven't installed anything else recently.

FWIW, though it is not reflected in the release notes, a fix for this bug was included in 3.4 RC -- I cannot be sure that all forms of slowness which result in a large scratch file are fixed, but the one I had cornered is very dead in the 3.4 RC build (some were seeing more severe scratch file bloat than I witnessed, though in at least one case the slowdown was comparable). The fix was one that could definitely broad impact.
I don't know if anybody is still watching this thread, but if you were previously seeing this issue, definitely give 3.4 a spin and post your updates.

I've been running 3.4RC since the day it was released. At first I was experiencing some general sluggishness overall but things improved dramatically when I increased my Camera Raw Cache settings as suggested in the general "why is Lightroom 3 so slow" thread. Overall, the general performance was back to 2.4 day and I was feeling pretty good. Then last night I had to do an export of 76 .jpg files and my system came to a total crawl. Then, after the very long export (sorry I didn't time it) working within LR was very sluggish with constant spinning and "Loading" dialogs as I moved around. In reflection, I recall having this same problem a few weeks ago when I did a SmugMug export. Sorry I don't have more details other than "this issue has not been resolved in 3.4RC.

How to export to very large dimensions?

I need to export a file to the specs below, however, every time I try I get a 'Error compiling movie - Unknown error'.
Resolution 2732 pixels (w) x 768 pixels (h).
32:9 Landscape format.
File format is MPEG-4/H.264 AVC at 20Mbps.
Frame rate is 25 as per PAL standard.
This error has been replicated across a number of fairly high spec computers so I don't think it is an issue with disk space etc. We're working off the assumption that it's the large dimensions causing the problem.
The only solution we can come up with is to export to smaller dimensions (which we have done successfully) and then upscale but even that is proving challenging!
Any suggestions or ideas are very welcome!

Could you provide answers to these:
Are you able to reproduce this issue with multiple projects?
Did you try increasing the "level" to 5.1 under video settings?
What is the specs of original media used in the project?

LR is Exporting Images VERY NOISY Folder + Smugmug

Hi! I am a professional Photographer, I recently bought a New Alienware PC, and reinstalled all of my Adobe software and Upgraded to LR5.. My Work Flow usually goes like this.. Import to LR> Export to PS> Save to LR> Export to Smugmug, I went to check out the images for my clients by downloading them before they printed them off. They are SO VERY NOISY. No matter what I do I cannot fix it! I am so lost. I will Upload screen shots of examples as well as my prefernece settings!!!

What is the best way to export this for optimal DVD encoding?
for single layer dvds? double-layer dvds?
what about HD dvds, i'm not sure I totally get this.

Ok, so I've tried that but I have run into a few problems. Namely, sometimes the aspect ratio won't remain what it is suppossed to. Also, I've had trouble using Double Layer DVDs and it will often freeze about an hour in. I want to make the best quality DVD I can, which I would assume would involve using a DL DVD, because the film is about an hour and a half.
So really, I'm still a little confused.
But by the way, thanks for you help. It makes me feel better thinking that I'm not crazy!

Exporting is very slow

I bought a refurbed MacBook Pro from Apple Store, (incl apple care)
2.33 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
I was told that I could extend the Ram to 4 Gig Ram but I would not get the full performance from the 4 Gig Ram, but it would be better than the 2 I had and better than extending to 3 Gig Ram.
I bought the Ram from Crucial.com
Didn't really notice much difference in edit, but I was recently away on a job where we had to export our time lines to QuickTime - Broadband Medium, which a graphic on top of our work.
Each timeline was about 1-2mins long.
My exports where taking between 5-7mins where as collegues where exporting in half the time.
My computer in general had been slow so I reinstalled, first MacBook Pro discs, then OSX 10.5 did all the upgrades, then installed FCP latest version, did the updates.
Still slow!
Is this a ram thing or just a slow computer?
Will Mac replace it if it is slow?
Lastly, I can't find my apple care receipt, but I know I registered the mac online, where do I find where it is registered?
Please help. I have another job starting next week, same sort of gig. We have to provide a lot of content for the web and I am slowing down the work flow.

For what its worth, the 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo model of the MacBook Pro did not support 4 GB of RAM. It would only support 3, but even with the mismatched pair, performance wasn't improved that much. So the 2.33GHz model will work best with 2GB of RAM.
You would also do well to answer these gentlemen's exact questions if you want specific answers to your issue. These guys are professionals offering free advice on their own time, they're asking these questions for a reason. You'll notice in my signature that I use the same model MacBook Pro, and it works very well with FCP. I don't think you have a bad machine, you just need to take some time and learn some basics here.

Iphoto export takes very long

Why does exporting a slideshow onto a usb take so long?

Hi - There is no video - just a slideshow of pictures and music....about 15 min or so.....took about 3-4 hours
But exporting the slideshow as slideshow will render a video - to show the transitions and effects, and to be able to play the music together with the images.

DVCPRO HD export mystery

I had super16 film footage that was transferred on a Spirit to SonyHDCAM at 23.98 and loaded into final cut as DVCPROHD 1080i60 (HD1280x1080) 23.98. No problems. The edit went fine. The whole thing went to Shake for dust removal and camera jitter removal, then back to Final Cut. Looks and plays great now. When I try to export from my timeline with Export Quicktime Movie - Current Settings the resulting file is 1920x1080 and I can't get it onto a timeline without a red render line. Timeline has same settings, but the whole thing needs render. I'm trying to get rid of render files before I put this thing into Compresser to go to DVD. Do I have a problem here? Anybody had experience like this?

Scheduled export hangs very often

I've scheduled export running on DB server-Windows. I've created a batch file with export commands for about 5 databases and scheduled the job to run this batch file every night around 9 pm.
But, the export hangs quite often atleast 1-2 night a week with this message and when I come in the morning I had to hit enter for it to proceed:

Export file: EXPDAT.DMP >It hangs mostly for db3,db4 or db5 exports.. Not consistent either. Just stops with this command. Please give me your suggestions...

It could be a couple of issues:
1. The file you gave it may be maxing out size wise and since there is no other file to use, exp builds the default file
expdat.dmp and prompts the user to make sure it is ok to use that file. To get around this, you could add a second
filename to the exp commands. If this happens for more than one job, you are overwriting the expdat.dmp file from the
previous job.
2. If for some reason it can't open that file, it would prompt for the expdat.dmp file.
So, by hitting <cr> when prompted, your exp job will write to the expdat.dmp file. It would be interesting to look at the size of the expdat.dmp file and the size of the file you thought the export was going to write to.

DVCPRO HD Export Settings at 720p60 offers medium quality only

I cut my film in its native codec of DVCPROHD 720p60. However when I try to export in the same codec using quicktime conversion, it only presents me with the option of medium quality... Does anyone know whats going on here? This is really weird.. any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I rendered both out to compare file size. The QT conversion file came out to be 28.49 GB and the Quicktime Movie file weighed in at 29.34 GB.
I think the slight difference was the audio settings I adjusted the QT Conversion.
I still think that itssomewhat misleading and they should label the compressor as maximum or high to avoid confusion...

Hi guys, i-v read some thems on the forum, but I am not an english speaking person, so it's kind of hard for me to receive a lot of information in a diffrent language at the same time. So I would like to create a new theme, where you probably will be able to help me.
I am using Adobe Premiere CS 6. I have an HP DV7 laptom with the folowwing configuration:
Windows 7 ultimate 64
Intel core I7-3820QM CPU, 2.70 Ghz
8 GB RAM
internal HDD drives 5400 Rpm
Video adapter:
1. Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000
2. Nvidia GeForce GT 650M with unabled CUDA (I mean in Premiere it's shown as unabled)
The premiere is installed on disc C, the info is on Disk D (different HDD from C).
I shoot on an Canon 7D camera full HD 1080x1920, 25 fps. Sequence is the same as camera shooting h264 format.
When I export i select MPEG2 movie, 1920x080, 25 fps, 30 bitrate.
1 hour clip is then exported in about 4-5 hours, what seems extremly long for me...
