  • Burn DVD using Premiere Pro 2.0

    I use premiere pro
2.0 on my PC with Windows 7.  I can edit and save a video project, but I can't burn it to a DVD.
Is there a burn program in 2.0, or is there another burning program that will accept premiere
pro 2.0 projects?  I can import video segments into the Microsoft DVD burning program in
Windows 7, but it will not accept a Premiere Pro project.

If the issue is that PrPro does not see your burner, there might well be other programs "hooking" the burner. Do you get any error messages?
If Win7does not see your burner, then it is likely that either the firmware, or the driver used, are out of date - or both.
If Win7 does see the burner, then what you will need to do (depending on the answer to the first question), would be to Burn to Folder from PrPro. Then, use the free utility, ImgBurn, to do the physical burn to disc.

  • Preserve Quality of Ripped DVD to Premiere Pro CS5

    Hi,
My computer decided to throw a tantrum and kill a good chunk of my documentary's source footage - including my documentary's premiere pro project. (What we thought was a genius backup system did not help preserve a backup copy of our files!) Praise be to God, not long before this tragic computer event happened, I burned my film onto DVD with DVD Menu - this was done through Encore.
I'd like to pull my documentary film off the DVD and into Premiere. What is the best way to do this preserving the film's quality?
    This is what I tried:
Ripped the DVD onto my desktop.
Now I have a folder titled VIDEO_TS on my hardrive.
Inside that folder are .vob files.
I pulled the .vob files into Premiere Pro - it worked successfully. But is this the best way to do what I want?
    Set up:
    Windows 7 64bit
    Adobe Production Premium CS5
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
    -Michelle

Also, make a periodic full image backup of your boot drive to a USB hard drive
The product I use is at http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/image-for-linux.htm
Image runs off of a bootable CD via Linux (the Zip you download includes a program to make the bootable CD) and it reads EVERYTHING on the drive, even the hidden registration information, so everything is restored when needed... and you may restore the image to a brand new drive in case of a crash, and not have to re-install anything

  • Can't burn project to DVD from Premiere Pro CS5.5

Hello to all the experts out there!
We have been having ongoing issues attempting to burn our finalised project in Premiere Pro CS5.5.
We have tried many of the suggestions found in the forum, including changing file names, checking for gaps in the timeline, changing DVD discs, exporting as an MPEG file (always says unknown error), sending to Encore via Dynamic Link (goes 3/4 way through transcoding and freezes every time), installing Roxio updates etc etc.
We still can't get the project to burn to disc and I am not sure where to go with it next.
Its a 34 minute project, and have been able to export up to 24 mins of it, so I suspect there is a problem with something in the end of the timeline but just can't work it out.
Does anyone have any tips, pleaseeeee!???
    Cheers,

As well as the below, right click the Encore icon and select Run as Administrator, which is NOT the same thing as running the computer with the Administrator account, and which fixes several "odd" problems... To create a two layer DVD (or a BluRay?), you MUST have Encore set to use the Run as Administrator option

  • Imported dvd into premiere pro 2014 as a linked file with audio and video but audio from previous editing file is playing with video

I am editing in premiere pro 2014 on a windows 8.1 system with 12 mega byes of ram.  I imported a dvd into premiere from a .f4v that was
    burned using freemakevideo converter.
I imported the DVD into premiere and the audio that is playing is from an previous project I edited with the program, as oppose
to, the audio that is linked with the video imported.
Do you know why this is?  I cleaned my media cache and I rebooted my machine.
    Please help

Without knowing the specs of your videos it is hard to say. I'm also running a Mac and am having no such issues.
My first thought is that you have something from a 3rd party installed that is causing conflicts. If all else fails try transcoding your mp4 files to a frame based codec using the Adobe Media Encoder. Pick one of the Apple production codecs or Jpeg compressed QuickTime.
Are you running a ram preview? Did you render your Premiere timeline? Are you new to AE?

Can I Premiere PRO 1.5 (90056288 10/04) with update 1.5.1 with the operating system Windows 7 use, and is still an update (driver) is required and where can I download it?
1st, you are in the wrong forum, you need http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere/premierepro_previous?view=all
2nd, you are no longer able to register version 1.5 because the registration server is not working, you must obtain version 2
    CS2 Activation Server http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l
    From that link
Adobe has disabled the activation server for CS2 products, including Acrobat 7, because of a technical issue. These products were released more than seven years ago, do not run on many modern operating systems, and are no longer supported. Adobe strongly advises against running unsupported and outdated software. The serial numbers provided as a part of the download may only be used by customers who legitimately purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 and need to maintain their current use of these products

  • Create a DVD using Premiere Pro and Encore - delay between audio and video (in ms)?

I created a DVD and need to be sure that audio and video are in perfect sync (smaller than 1 millisecond).
Is this even possible with Premiere Pro / with DVDs in general?
My sequence settings in Premiere are:
DV PAL, 25 fps, 720x576 (16:9), D1/DV PAL Widescreen, lower field first, Audio: 48000 Hz
My DVD settings in Encore are:
    MPEG-2 (MainConcept MPEG-Video), 720x576, 25 fps, lower field first, Widescreen 16:9 (1,458), Bitrate VBR, 2-Pass, Min 1,5 MBit/s Target 4 MBit/s, Max 9 MBit/s, GOP: M-Frames 3, N-Frames 12, Audio: Dolby Digital, 192 kbit/s

I created a DVD and need to be sure that audio and video are in perfect sync (smaller than 1 millisecond).
Is this even possible with Premiere Pro / with DVDs in general?
Frame accurate is the best you can achieve and that means 33 milliseconds at best.

  • I need to create DVDs but Premiere Pro requires Encore, and Encore is no longer available

I had Encore installed, but it gave me error messages when trying to import a Premiere Pro CC 2014 file. Following the advice from the support listings, I uninstalled Premiere Pro, then downloaded and ran the Adobe cleanup file, which removed my copy of Encore. Now I can't find a way to download it again because it's only available if I download Premiere Pro CS6, and there's no way to find and download PP CS6.
I'm in the middle of a project for the Library of Congress, that requires me to send a DVD. Adobe should recognize that DVDs are still important for some applications, and should be making Encore as available as all the other applications in Creative Cloud. This has become a very frustrating process when it should be getting easier.

Are you sure? CS6 still shows up in my Creative Cloud app (which I upgraded moments ago, by the way).
Your point is that PR/EN CS6 is still available, and that is true.Your list is of the "installed apps" section and indicates that it is already installed. The poster indicates it was uninstalled and he should be looking in the "find new apps" area. Many users appear to be continuing to install PR CS6 with EN CS6. But others are having problems (as some have all along).
A new problem appears to be that users seem to believe they have to uninstall PR CC in order to add PR CS6. And some odd errors have added fuel to the fire.
The errors referred to by this user were probably no more than trying to dynamic link from PR CC to EN, which, of course, does not work.

  • VHS to DVD in Premiere Pro CC with easy menu building.

    Hi!
I am wondering if there is a good workflow that I can implement to quickly capture VHS/8mm tapes using Premiere Pro CC and then author them to disc with a menu. I would like to be able to quickly add menu markers automatically pererably and a functional menu without too much time tinkering with it as I do a lot of these and don't have time to place each marker and set up the menu. I have used Premiere Elements before and found that workflow to be about what I am looking for; does Pro offer anything like that?
I am working on a PC running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and I do have Encore CS6 installed. Is there a site where I can download more menus? I don't know a lot about video, I am basically teaching myself as I go, so keep the words small :-)
    Thanks!

A link at/near the bottom of http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/kb/encore-cs6-installed-cc.html tells you how to use PProCC with EncoreCS6
Capturing from tape requires a Firewire computer connection, and a device such as http://www.grassvalley.com/products/converters

  • Can you burn an AVCHD DVD using Premiere Pro 4.1?

Alright I've been hunting the forums and net for a few hours on this one question.
I import my AVCHD video files using Sony Picture Motion Browser for the HDR SR-12 using the full HD setting (1920x1080i) I then pull these into Premiere 4.2.1 and have created an edit, my question is, it possible to output to an AVCHD DVD i.e. a standard DVD-R with the AVCHD edit on it from Premiere/Encore?
It's easy to burn clips straight to AVCHD DVD using Sony PMB, but not an edited file.
I realize there are no menus possible if you do it this way, but I have an AVCHD capable DVD deck and an HD Capable screen and would really like to see how this looks. Anybody know any tricks or workarounds for this? It seems that this would be sadly lacking if it was not possible or simply an effort to force one to adapt the entire workflow to Blu-Ray for HD content which I am not prepared to do.
I am assuming that if you could export the same file type that came in (i.e. AVCHD .mts files) that you could then have Sony PMB burn it to AVCHD DVD but I haven't figured out how to export it as such as there is only Blu-Ray output options.
Any help, tips or tricks would be appreciated!!!!
    Regards,
    DSW

Answering myself here for the benefit of anyone else trying to solve this problem.
I have been pulling my hair out trying to solve this problem for the last 48 hours of utilizing AVCHD footage at AVCHD quality. I finally did find somewhat of a work around, but it requires Adobe PP CS4.2.
    There is a plug-in here:
    http://www.mainconcept.com/site/prosumer-products-4/mpeg-pro-hd-7850/features-7861.html
Which will actually output your edit as an AVCHD file. You can then burn this straight to an AVCHD using Nero 9 and keep the highquality level of your clips and not need Blu-Ray. The DVD player will need to be AVCHD capable, but I just bought one of those for $40 as compared to the $200+ of most Blu-Ray players.
Or if you want to be really sneaky, you can transfer it back onto your camera and play it straight to your TV using the HDMI cable.
Hope that helps anyone stuck with the same problem.
    Regards,
    DSW

Gracias.
