DVD burn on Vista can not be mount on Tiger

Hi,
I've received DVD burned on Vista which contains jpg file, but my Tiger doesn't want to mount it. It's visible on Disk Utility but Mount option is unavailable. Do you have any ideas what might be wrong?
DVD is ok I've chcked it on XP.

If you burned with UDF, you may need Software Architects Read DVD. UDF, in spite of its definition, is not Universal. There are several non-universal versions of it that are only readable with third party software.

    The whole issue is really mysterious. In my opinion there are two options;
Either your have used and tried to install a wrong graphic driver or there is something wrong with your GPU chip.
Are you 100% that you tired an right graphic driver from the Toshiba European driver page?
If yes, then I recommend contacting the ASP in your country because this could be really an hardware issue.
Furthermore I found you second posting in other thread

and I think more and more that this must be an graphic card issue.

  • DVD burner (UJ-825) does not recognize blank media - alignment error

    Hello,
when inserting (tried several) blank DVD into my iMac DVD burner, it spits it out after a few seconds ...

    Is my burner dead ?

Normally this error message is caused by incorrect Format or some of the cheaper incompatible Brands of Media. I suggest you use this.
    http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
I also suggest you use DVD-R Media.
it is the most recognized all around.
Be sure when you buy that your optical drive will burn at the speed it was designed to use.
Many of the higher speed media like 16X will not work on older computers.
They will give you error messages
Here is another good link that explains it.
    http://www.videohelp.com/dvd
I suggest you find Maxell 16X DVD-R media in the individual Jewel Cases and read the packaging and you will see that it will burn at 1X,2X,4X,8X,and 16X this media will work with just about anything in the way of computers.

  • DVD burning - all files do not copy

I have been having a burning problem with the system burning DVDs.
When I burn a disc not all the files copy. Sometimes one whole folder of many does not get copied; sometimes just the materials within a specific folder does not get burned. No error message is given and the DVD verifies 100%. I have tried burning at different speeds and it does not have any effect. I use to have no problems and can not think of what the problem is... HELP!
    Thanks!

Some files did burn that were over 32 characters, but some files that were shorter did not. Should I not have file names over 32 characters?

  • Installed New DVD burner, but it will not burn DVDs

I just installed a new Pioneer DVR-112D DVD burner but when I try to burn a DVD with iDVD 4 it will not burn a DVD. It looks like iDVD 4 will get to stage 4 of the process but it will not finish burning the DVD. Can anyone help me out?
    Thank you

If you don't have Tiger, or iDVD 6 or higher, you will need PatchBurn

  • Qosmio G10-133 & Vista can not recognise my memory stick

    Hi,
I have installed VISTA on this laptop, and I have had a few problems as you can imagine!!!!
I can not get it to recognise my memory stick. I can't find any drivers and Windows can not solve the problem.
    Anybody got any clues?
I am also having a problem if I power off the laptop. The only way I can get the power on button to work is to remove the mains cable and the battery and then I can power on the laptop. If I don't remove the power cable and the battery, I get a green light on the power button, or no light at all, and pressing it seems to do nothing. I also get a flashing orange light on the mains power light at the front of the laptop. I assume it is something to do with the computer thinking it has hibernated or something?

    What to say buddy.
The Vista is not supported on the Qosmio G10 series officially and therefore the Vista drivers dont exists for this series.
Fact is that you need an card reader driver to use the memory sticks. But as I said above such drivers are not released and dont exists.
What you can do is to check the drivers for G30 but Im very skeptical that this will work on G10.
    Bye

  • Tag at beginning of dvd burn... but not on the timeline

I just made my first dvd burn of a fcpx project and when I played back the dvd... it started with the project's video tag.  Yet when I look at the timeline, it's not there.  How do I get rid of this tag being the first video to appear?

At the beginning of the dvd... on playback of the burn... there is what looks like a (computer/fcpx?) generated graphic.  It has the projects name at the top left and about middle bottom 1/3 is a play button... It looks like something from the event library.  It's there before playing the video and it goes away as soon as I hit play with the remote.  What is it and why is it there?  How do I get rid of it?

I can do everything in itunes but the windows driver can not be installed.

I too have experienced the Logitech s715i error message stating something like, the accessory is not a supported device of the iPhone. The speakers will charge my phone but will not "connect" to play music. I have an iPhone 4S running version 6.1 (10B142).
I too have contacted Logitech for support and am awaiting a reply.

  • Burned CD yesterday, can not burn today.  Error 4280 - Windows Vista

Yesterday, I bought a number of tracks and albums from the iTunes store. Before I purchased them, I created a test CD with some tracks I already ripped from CDs I own. I burned this CD through iTunes. All seemed well.
I bought my music. After, I also backed up my purchases using iTunes. Still, all seemed well.
Today, I tried to create audio CD with the tracks I purchased from the iTunes store. It did not work.
It seems that the error (4280) comes up a lot, but in relation to Sony drives. My drive is not made by Sony.
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?

what has been working for folks with the 2380s on 64-bit systems (it can hit XP too) has been reinstalling the 64-bit version of the GEAR drivers that iTunes uses for burning and importing.

  • Time Machine can not be mounted - external drive

I have an external Maxtor USB drive that's been my time machine since forever. Yesterday I noticed that it's not mounting. I KNOW it was mounting the day before because I had to use it. But now the drive is not mounting, and I don't know why.
The drive is on, the light is on, but it's not mounting. Out of curiosity, my husband hooked it up to his Vista PC and he was able to browse to it all dandy. But then back on my computer, it's not being recognized.
It's not showing up in disk utility, though my other external drive, my iphoto drive, is having no problems. It's not the USB port, as my ipod works on either port, as does my iphoto drive.
    Can anyone help?
I've unplugged it, plugged it back in. Rebooted the computer without it attached.

I solved my problem. I tried plugging it into another computer and it popped up on the screen. AHA! Before I tried that, I had ONLY unplugged the drive but had NOT crawled under the desk to unplug it from the main power source. It just needed to be TOTALLY unplugged and left alone for a few minutes. Those little green men obviously can bunch up anywhere and need a total disconnect, for several minutes at least, to unbind. Ahh, sort of like un-constipating the system?

  • DVD Burned by Mac will not play on PC -- Help?

I know this question has probably popped up quite a bit, and I apologize for reasking something that has most likely already been asked. I am fine with computers and can typically solve my own problems after some research, but I can't seem to find an answer to this one that I can fully understand and work with.
I currently have a Macbook Pro with Max OS X Snow Leopard, Version 10.6.6. It runs with a 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor --  the same as when I orignally purchased the laptop, with the standard upgrades offered by Mac when searching for upgrades. Recently, my boss at work acquired her foreign exchange student's external harddrive which contained nearly 6000 photos that the student had taken while in America. She asked if I could hook it up to my Mac because her PC wouldn't recognize the harddrive. So I did, picking out pictures with her and saving these select photos into a folder on my desktop. I disconnected the harddrive and all was well.
She then asked that I burn the photos onto a DVD. I took the DVD, put it into my drive, and copied the files from my computer onto the DVD using "Finder." I then proceeded to burn the files using "Finder," and found that it was quite speedy considering the amount of photos (about 500). It finished burning, finalized, and completed. I safely ejected the disk and thought I was done.
Unfortunately, when putting the DVD into my bosses DVD drive (she has a pc -- I don't have the details of the system at this time but can get them as soon as possible) the disk was not even recognized in the slightest -- it was as though no disk were inserted. We went to "my computer" and manually attempted to find the disk, but to no avail.
Can the disk not be read by her PC because it was burnt on my Mac?
I am not sure what type of DVD disk it was -- I can check in an hour or so when I get to work.
I just know that all it contains are JPG files and it works just fine when inserting it back into my Mac.
Once again, I apologize for potentially asking a redundant question. I'm just trying to get this done for my boss before I leave on vacation tomorrow.
    Thank you,
    Sam

  • WIndows XP/Vista can not recognize shared folder on Mac running Leopard

    Hi,
I have problem with sharing file from my Mac running Leopard to my Windows machine (running XP and Vista). I follow the instruction on this website. http://lifehacker.com/software/mac-os-x-leopard/leopard-simplifies-networking-31 7033.php
My Windows machine 'see' the Mac. When i double-click or press enter on the Mac comp icon on my windows machine, I do not get any confirm box to enter username and password. Instead, I am allowed to view the content which is empty ( although I enabled some shared folder on my Mac)
Any suggestion to solve the problem pls .

If your Mac Pro has FileVault on, your Windows XP machine will not be able to access the files, as FileVault disables SMB and printer sharing for Windows XP clients.
In case FileVault is not on, you could try temporarily disabling the Windows firewall and the anivirus and/or internet security suite on the WinPC, and see whether it can access the files on your Mac Pro.
    Good Luck.

  • Windows Vista can not find iPhone drivres

Every time I try to install my iPhone's blue-tooth it does not work. Vista is always searching for the drivers and cant find it. So where can I download drivers for the iPhone 3G?
The following features don't work for my iPhone.
    Bluetooth on iPhone will allow:
    Stereo music headphones/speakers/etc
    Telephone headsets and handsfree.

I have the same problem with windows xp pro tech support at apple had me reinstall iTunes 12 times to no avail then they had me wipe my hard drive still have the problem it's the update so unfortunatley we are screwed till apple gets their stuff together and decides to have good customer service and fix this mess. A family member that has an iPhone with 3.0 their phone worked on my computer just fine but not mine and I have been working with tech support got three weeks now.

  • My dvd burner/ cd-rom will not accept

Everytime I try to insert a disc, it rotates a couple of times and then gets spit out. Nothing stays in, not dvds, blanks, or music cds. Is it time for me to get a new drive?

if different discs are ejected, most likely the drive problem.
small chance the cable is loose or it's a keyboard or logic board problem.

  • Itunes + vista = can not boot =/

Alright I have had some issues with this week old computer and I have now narrowed it down to itunes being the culprit. I did a system restore to a point before itunes being installed, and it all worked again. So I again installed itunes to be sure and sure enough it was.
The problem is that once itunes is installed, well everything works fine, until I reboot the computer and once the windows bar has finished loading right before the login screen, the screen is just black. The screen is working as in there is a signal just that Vista stops booting or something and all I have is a black screen, no mouse no nothing. Fails safe mode WORKS, but no type of "normal" boot.
This blows, I just recently bought an iPod Touch 32 gig and a brand new computer spending lots of money on both. This truly blows and I would appreciate any help. I have searched everywhere for a similar problem and all I find is Vista black screens that are not related to mine.
itunes = latest for 64 bit vista
OS = Vista Ultimate 64 bit
CPU = intel Quad 2.4 ghz
    GPU = ATI HD3870X2
    Please help me =(
