DVD menu button rollovers not working on PS3

I am totally new to Adobe Encore, and I tried to make my first DVD project yesterday.  I used the default "Party" menu which I then edited in Photoshop to include my own graphic assets and text.  The project is just two videos of a play that I recorded for a friend - one video is the Friday night performance and the other is the Sunday night performance.  So there's only two buttons on the menu.
The DVD works fine on my Mac.  The buttons do their rollover thing when I mouse over the two menu options.  But on my PS3, the rollovers just don't appear.  If I hit the X button when the menu appears, it plays the first video. If I hit the Down button first, and then the X buttons, it plays the second video, so obviously the function of the menu is working correctly, but the rollovers are not appearing.
Does anyone have any insight into what I might have done wrong?

Welcome to the forum.
Not sure exactly how the PS3 handles Sub-picture Highlights (what appears in the Over/Selection state), as I have never used one.
To see the layout of the Menu better, can you post a screen-cap from Photoshop, with the Layers Palette open, and the Button Layer Set of one of those Buttons twirled open, and with the Visibility of the Sub-picture Highlight turned ON? That will give us the opportunity to see if something is wrong with the naming conventions of the Button Layer Set, and also see what the Highlight should look like in its rollover state.
If necessary, this ARTICLE will give you some tips on the screen-cap.
Good luck, and maybe a user, who knows the PS3 will drop by with a quick and easy "fix."

I have website that on the Home page and the home only. When opened in Chrome or Safari the last 3 menu buttons do not work. But work fine in Explorer and Firefox. Its weird. The site is baystatewiring.com see if you have the same problem. Does anyone have a idea?

Code errors could explain the problem.  You're missing a closing </div> tag for container.

  • My 'Menu' button will not work. How can I fix this?

The menu button will not work.
Is there anything I can do myself to fix this problem?
It works occasionally, but mostly does not work.
    Thanks

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance

  • The menu button is not working on my iPod Nano

I cannot get back from anywhere. Once I have seleceted a track to play, the menu button does not work so that I cannot get back to all music or to choose other options such as radio. It does not make a click sound. It works occaisionally (once a week). Any ideas? Anyone had this problem before?

    Hey Nick Norway,
Thanks for the question. Let’s see if we can isolate your issue further to determine if it is hardware related. Have you attempted to reset your iPod? If not, definitely give that a go:

  • Since upgrade to v29, pinned tabs don't appear and sometimes all tabs don't appear and open menu button does not work

My pinned tabs don't appear at any start and at some starts, I don't see the bookmarks toolbar (I can restore that by removing it from view-toolbars and then reselecting it). when this happens, FF also does not show any tabs and the Menu button does not work.
I have tried various suggestions found on here like deleting the sessionstore.js and re-installing FF, also tried disabling hardware acceleration in safe mode and still have the same problems.
Am reluctant to reset FF in case I lose my favourites and Bookmarks, is there anything else I can try?

Firefox may not have closed properly.<br />
You can try to update to Firefox 29.0.1 to be released tomorrow (Friday) to see if that helps with this issue.

  • MY MENU BUTTON DOES NOT WORK! ah!

I've had my ipod photo 30GB for about 5 months and i love it..i have about 2500 songs on it and i was listening to it yesterday and no matter how many times i pressed menu..it wouldn't go back to any of the other screens. all the other buttons worked fine, but the menu button wouldn't work!! now i know my ipod would still be under warranty, but i don't even know how to go about doing that. is there something i send in? or print out? or do online? and besides the warranty..is there a way to fix this menu button problem?? please help me!! thankk youu =)

No, a Reset is just like rebooting your PC - all your data will still be there. Now, a Restore will wipe your iPod, but you probably won't need to go that far.

  • DVD STUDIO PRO: Menu Button does not work when in Simulation mode

How can I make the MENU BUTTON work when I am playing my DVD in SIMULATION MODE? Right now nothing happens when I click on it. I want to make sure it works for the user.
    Thanks

Not sure I understand.  Are you talking about the menu button on the remote control?  If so, I think you need to check the inspector for the disk in dvdsp and make sure the correct menu is selected for this button.  The behavior of the menu button can be a little tricky.  If I remember correctly, it usually toggles between the menu and the track.
If you're talking about a button you've created on a menu, select the button and set the target in the spector.

  • Acrobat 7 button rollovers not working and crash acrobat

    Indesign CS2 Acrobat 7
I have created in Indesign CS2 an interactive front page cotaining buttons with links to 5 documents. These 5 documents have buttons for next page, previous page etc. and a link back to the front page.
When these files are burnt to a CD and opened on certain pcs recently upgraded and CS2 reinstalled, the rollover buttons don't work and cause Acrobat 7 to crash. However on other pcs these files work fine.
My thought was the CS2 software that was reinstalled had been corrupted in some way, so this was installed again but the problem still remains.
THe odd thing is that interactive elements that were produced before the reinstall work fine.
Any suggestions are welcome on how to solve this problem.
    Many Thanks,
    Tony

  • Expandable menu buttons are not working in transaction iviews

    Hi,
I created the transaction iviews and it connects to the backend. I can able to see all the data's but when I click the Menu, its not expanding. I activated the all the services as per the note517484 and 1088717. When I go to the Webgui service in SICF and test the service, it did the same as not expanding. Any way that we can make the menu to work.
    Thanks

    Hi Raghu,
Thanks for your quick response. I can able to see my Menu and the system buttons but when I click the Menu or System button, it should expand and show all the menu under that. But In my case i couldn't see what I supposed to be.
    Thanks

  • The menu button will not work and I cannot turn the ipod off using the top button either. What do I do?

What can I do to fix this?

    Try:
    fix for Home button
Fix a broken, unresponsive or sticky iPhone Home Button
    - If you have iOS 5 and later you can turn on Assistive Touch it add the Home and other buttons to the iPods screen. Settings>General>Accessibility>Assistive Touch
    - If not under warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for:
Apple - Support - iPod - Repair pricing
    - There are third-party places like the following that will repair the Home button. Google for more.

Also try restoring the iPod via iTunes. If it is necessary to place the iPod in recovery mode to restore use this program.

  • Mini ipod menu and play buttons are not working

My ipod menu button has not worked now for a few months. I can't get back to my main playlist and choose certain things, I just have to listen to the all the songs. Now the play button is not working either, its working to turn on-play-pause, but not to turn it off. So it stays on till the battery goes dead. Help Please-anything!!

    See this.
How to reset the iPod if it appears frozen or doesn't respond.
It may take quite a few attempts and is best done connected to power.
If this doesn't work, try restoring the iPod to factory settings.
However, it seems as if it may be a hardware problem and need service.

  • Submit buttons do not work, even in the firefox menu

Not sure if it is submit or what but most times I can't fill a form and then have the button work to send it. My pin it button will not work when I try to pin something on pinterest and even in the firefox tools/options box I can't open up menu options like manage add ons, They do not respond and act as if I am not clicking them. I do not have this on the the other computer. I removed the program and downloaded it again and it is the same. I also have a "skipity" toolbar which I did not have before and it does not show up in the toolbar options to remove it. I am so frustrated right now!

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry if the Extensions tab on the about:addons page (Tools > Add-ons) is empty.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created when required.
    See "Corrupt extension files":
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons
If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is a compatibility update available.
