Dvd Player: When i insert a movie dvd from the store my .......

computer begins to play the movie and after about a min or so the movie screen minimizes to the desktop and then either shuts down the computer or puts it to sleep. Most times the computer shuts off once in a while it will just go to sleep. I have tried 2 diff dvd's and am sure they work on my dvd player in the living room. This issue is new to me so i am a bit lost.

ITunes cannot transfer movies bought from the Store onto the iPad.

I have an iPad Mini and iTunes cannot transfer movies bought from the Store onto the iPad.
'Manually manage videos' is ticked but then after each sync attempt it goes back to being unticked.
'Sync only checked songs and videos' is also ticked and remains so.
When I choose the movies to put on the iPad, it gives me an indication of how much space I have (enough), lets me sync and then goes back to zero.

FYI, I searched the side pane here after asking this question. It seems someone gave an answer that worked for me. I could not drag and drop a pdf from the desktop into iTunes or the Ipad2 directly for whatever reason. However in iTunes on the main menu under Files>Add, I could navigate to the desktop and add the pdf that way, then sync Books with the iPad. This worked!
I've attempted in the past to drag and drop videos, etc into iTunes and the iPad with no success. Somehow it never occurred to me to add them this way. Doh!

When i watch a movie trailer from the home page, it continually restarts. How come?

I Noticed that when watching the movie trailers from the apple home page, the vide will start and go a random amount of time and then restart. This happens over and over. Can anyone help?

I'm probably not describing these terms correctly but here goes. The progress bar starts and you can see the downloaded portion ahead of the actual time bar. I don't even hit start and once the downloaded section gets out far enough, the movie starts by itself. In the past if the actual time bar caught up with the downloaded portion it would just freeze until more had downloaded. Now I guess what's happening is if it gets too close, it just restarts? I tried what you said and paused the trailer until the whole trailer downloaded. When I did that, the trailer played through without restarting. Is there a setting to adjust this or am I just a victim of slow DSL?

Why would a movie disappear from the store?

Why would a movie that's been sold in the iTunes Store disappear from the store? It was a $14.99 movie too.

I suppose a mistake could have been made, but, other than that, it surely must be that a deal that would have kept it in the iTunes Store, somehow, wasn't done. That I haven't a clue about why is what's so frustrating.
I find it interesting, too, that there are movies not in iTunes which I would think would surely be there. For example, 25 movies are listed for Tom Cruise but "War of the Worlds" (the only one I want) isn't there. Another missing movie I like to see from time to time is "The Sound of Music" with Julie Andrews (again, the only Julie Andrews movie I want).

ITunes store keeps saying that my session has timed out when trying to buy a product from the store

I Tunes is telling me that my session has timed out when trying to buy a gift voucher, which i have done many times before.
The most recent change i'v made to my computer before this happened was to download an update (MacOSX updatecombo 10.7.3dmg)
a couple of weeks ago. I'v turned off the firewall as suggested whilst trying to transact and turned it back on again, but don't know
what else to try. The problem is three days old as i left and came back to it to see if there might be a glitch in the system.
I'v been able to access the credit i have in the store, but not buy the itunes voucher to email to my own a/c. Please help someone if you can

Thanks for your suggestion Ned01, I tried this as a last ditch attempt, unfortunatly it made no difference in my case, but i'm pleased it did for you. However, because you reminded me to have another go at this problem, i tried something else (which i'd unsucsessfuly tried before), that is, i deleted the 'CLICK & SAVE " a/c i'd set up recently, and reverted to my previous payment me and would you know it , this time it worked !! I set up a trail purchase and it worked.
It seems to me that other poeple with this problem have to solve it by trail and error, but thank you for your help.Sandystone..

I cannot download HBOGO on my iPad? I had it last year but now when I try to download it from the store there is no download icon?

Error: 0x80080206 when downloading from the store

Hello,
When I try to download apps from the store it comes up with this error: "Something happened and this app couldn't be installed. Please try again. Error code: 0x800802806". I have tried wsreset.exe and that didn't work. Is there a way to fix this error.
BTW I have a Thinkpad Twist running windows 8.1

This is not an area I have much experience in......I rarely insert DVDs and I have never had a similar problem.
When the DVD is in the drive (and DVD players is open) click on File>get disk info.

When I insert a video DVD

Under the system preferences, I cannot set the "When I insert a video DVD" to select "Open DVD Player." When I try to make this selection, it immediately reverts to "Ignore."
DVD Player itself works as it should, but I have manually launch the program each time I want to use it.
I don't use DVD Player very often, but something tells me my system might have been doing this when I was running Panther also.
Any thoughts about this?

Clean the dvd with a microfiber cloth.

When burning a completed movie in idvd the whole sound track of the last chapter disappears. When I play the whole movie in iDVD before burning to disc both the sound tracks are their, but when burnt to a DVD the two sound tracks disappear half way through the last chapter, can any one help please.
