Dvd rip to ipad softward?

rip dvd to ipad software

You can choose the free software: Handbrake.
The Handbrake, one of the opensource dvd rippers software, compatible with windows and mac, totally free, but hard to handle, and conversion speed is too slow. If you don’t worry about the conversion speed and more time, try handbrake. If you need the fastest speed to rip dvd movie, you can read thisarticle: Handbrake VS DVD to iPad Converter.

Commercial DVDs are encrypted. In the U.S., where these forums are hosted, breaking that encryption is illegal. The Terms of Use of these forums prohibit us from discussing software or methods of ripping commercial DVDs. Sorry.

  • DVD rip to iPod on Windows

Im sorry, i have seen this asked before, but the only ones i saw were ways with mac programs. Can somebody give me a link or tell me a step by step way to rip my DVDs and then convert them to a iPod format that is completely free, and i can convert a whole movie without paying for a converter. Thanks.

well thank you for reading adn doing some searching.Luckily for mac users the process isnt as cumbersome adn troublesome for windows users. I have always used this software to convert my dvds to be played on the ipod and have had no troubles and no errors. here is the website for the software adn related info about it and a website on how to convert a DVD using this software.

  • IMac - external DVD drive crashes Aimersoft DVD Ripping program

I am using Aimersoft DVD ripping software (legal version) to make mp4 files out of DVDs. It works fine on the IMac internal DVD drive. But when I try and use an external DVD drive using FW800/400 conversion cable, Aimersoft program keeps crashing.
    Any thoughts?

Here are some alternative choices for playing DVDs.
If the LaCie drive USB or FW?
Tiger is serious improvement over 10.1 (although you may need some more RAM) I'm not sure whether it will cure the DVD player issue? If you still have space (9Gb) on your 40Gb drive you could use Mac the Ripper, and then open the VIDEO_TS file in DVD Player.

Actually, as the owner of the DVD, you are permitted to make one copy.  You can use Handbrake to make an iPad compatible version of the DVD movie, then move it into the Videos section of iTunes.  From there, you can sync it with your iPad.

what is the best DVD-ripping software for mac?

Handbrake to copy to avi or mp4(I use it for watching my DVD's on the go, so my battery lasts for a longer time)
I think MP4 is better quallity.
To copy a DVD: simply use Toast (maybe withe popcorn, but I don't use it).
But, be legal! This is a forum, and anyone can see your posts!

  • How do i get my dvds onto my ipad 2 for free and easy i just can get it atall any help would be great.

does anyone know how i put my dvds onto my ipad for free. i have tried a few things but cant get them to work any help would be great.

If the digital copies are compatible with iTunes and iOS devices, there will be some sort of redemption code or other link that will obtain the movie from the iTunes Store, at which point it will automatically be in iTunes.
Note, though, that there are digital copies that are not compatible with iTunes (ones that use the Ultraviolet protection scheme, for instance). Also, many DVDs and Blu-Ray disks offer digital copies only for a limited time after the movie is first released, so the offer may have expired by now.
    Regards.

  • Is there a way to watch a dvd on an iPad?

Is there a way to watch a DVD on an iPad?  Is there a device similar to a Kingston Wi-Drive that would play a DVD disc and allow it to be watched on an iPad?  It seems doable, but I don't know of an available device.  Any help would be appreciated.

    No.
If it's a non-commercial DVD(like a home movie), you can use something like Handbrake to convert it to mp4 which you can then import onto the iPad via iTunes. If it's a commercial DVD, your options are to purchase a digital copy or subscribe to a streaming service that you can use to watch it.

  • DVDs on an iPad?

Can you put DVDs on an iPad?

If the DVD includes a code for a digital download, you may be able to. Often there is an option to redeem the code in iTunes.
But you cannot directly play a DVD on your iPad.

  • Dvd::rip using only 1 instead of 4 cores

    Hello, fellow Archers!
I've installed dvd::rip today and started transcoding my DVD's... And I saw a problem: It only uses one core at a time. The processor (I guess that it's not the program, which does that) is swapping the core being used every few seconds, but I can only see one core being pushed to it's 100%. Can I (and - if so - how to do that) set it up to use all 4 cores? It should speed up the process.
I'm using it's default programs (mplayer, xine, etc.), although I'm using mplayer-vaapi. Is that the cause? Should I swap to default mplayer? Or maybe it's related to my system settings? Does it install all the programs to support 4 cores by default, or should I set something up?
    Cheers!

    Have you tried HandBrake?

  • DVD rip DVD Final Cut Express 4.01 - can't import

I don't know what to do, I am really lost on this. I've tired various rip dvd pass. But just plain LOST
The formate I guess when it is ripped goes to .VOB ? Is that right. But anyway I can't seem to drag it into FCE. I've had various error message something like frame rate error and other errors. I've tried various things so much. I went out and bought FCE 4. Because I thought I would have less headaches.
So I have a DVD of a underwater diver and he is using my music. So I want to separate each segment of the scenes he has in his DVD. Then rip them and use them for a resume. He gave me the go ahead. But I just don't know what would be the best dvd rip app. I tried handbrake. But it seems that the files that come from there don't import into FCE 4.
I basically am very lost on all this and not sure how to explain exactly.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Glitch nightmare! DVD ripped to MPEG STREAMCLIP to FCP HD to DVD Studio Pro

Hi. Dealing with a very frustrating DVD-to-FCP-to-DVD glitch for months now, finally thought I should tap the knowledge base for help. I'm pretty uneducated about this stuff!
We're doing a favor for an area actor. She wants a DVD reel of her performances.
She gave us selection of some movies she's been in. They are all on DVD; this was the only format she could get the films in.
I figured, we'll rip the DVDs with Mac the Ripper, put the resultant TS files through MPEG streamclip, edit them in FCP and then whip up a DVD.
But on the resultant DVD, the picture is, intermittently, REALLY jumpy when the DVD is viewed on the TV set. It's fine when viewed on the G5's DVD player, but once you put it into the commercial DVD player and watch it on the television set, it's really glitch-heavy, which presumably won't impress anyone she's sending her reel to.
What might we be doing wrong?
MPEGStreamclip has a ton of output options. It's mind-boggling. But I presume there's a disagreement happening there between the MPEGStreamclip export options, the FCP sequence A/V settings, and/or the preferences in DVD Studio Pro.
I've tried different Streamclip options, tried to synchronize the field dominance on all 3 applications, tried a ton of things and still have not hit on the magical pre-set combination that will make this work.
Any ideas or knowledge about this would be hugely appreciated.
    Thanks!!!

This could be a pulldown removal problem. What were your sequence settings? Is this 60i or 24p. DVD's are usually 60i. If the material originated in 24p then burned to a 60i dvd ripped, and then edited in 24p and then burned to 60i again you can see how this could cause problems. Do you have to render when you drop in the timeline? There are so many questions.

  • Video Arrangment on Hard Drive + DVD Ripping Software + Internet Sharing

    Hello,
I relatively new to MAC OS, and got my iMac a couple of months ago. I have arranged my music under iTunes and pics in iPhoto, but haven't really found a great solution to storing my videos on the hard drive. I like iMovie to create my projects, but not as a storage/viewing platform. I right now have a combination on movies stored in iTunes and on the movies folder in my Hard Drive as well as some small movies in iPhoto, but wanted to have everything arranged in one location, similar to my music/pictures. Let me know what ways others store their videos on their Mac?
Also, looking for a good DVD ripping software that I can use so I can take my old DVD projects I made on my last computer and have permenant storage on my Hard Drive? I've used Handbrake, but wasn't sure about the quality.
Also, is there a way you recommend sharing videos online. I have some large videos (3gb, 30 min long), so it won't fit on YouTube. MobileMe is only 20gb large so it won't suit my needs (plus it seems too expensive!)
    Thanks for your help!

Apps to organise your video are thin to the ground. I've enjoyed using yFlicks (http://manytricks.com/yflicks/) (for other options search on MacUpdate. But in the end I reverted to using iTunes, where I class home movies as Music Videos, as I don't have any of those.
Ripping DVD is a tender subject on this forum. Under US law, and that's where this forum is based, it's illegal to even discuss ways of circumventing DRM protection. (Free Speech, right?) And as ripping a DVD might wander into such country it's best to search for solution on Google than here. And yes, I know, you're ripping your own material.
If your movies are 3 gig and only 30 minds long you need to compress them for sharing. Remember, at that size, the folks on the other end will end up downloading the 3 gigs to see the movie. In video it's common to talk of Production formats and Delivery Formats. From what you describe, your movie is in a production format - good for editing but huge. Compression will not harm the quality of the finished movie but will give you a version of a size more suited for delivery to a viewer (but not much good for editing). For comparison's sake, you can download a full length HD or near HD Hollywood movie online at less than 1 gig.
    Regards
