Hi,
I am looking FRU numbers for DVD-/+RW drive(s).
My docking station FRU is 42x4963 for X201.

you can use any serial ultrabay slim dvd multi drive.
The Hitachi - LG (HL) one that i am using for my X201t's X200 Ultrabase has a FRU of 45N7451.
Also, the Sony Optiarc version with 45N7453 also fits.

Does the 4th gen Nano have an adapter for docking stations? Need help!!!!

I have a philips dock and play docking station and whilst my 1st gen Nano is very happy playing on it the 4th Gen won't even go on properly. Am i not inserting it correctly or are they just not compatible? What i'd really like to know, is there an adapter for the 4th Gen so that i can attach it to the docking station as well?

It's a dock adaptor. Not sure if it works - but frankly, I am just as annoyed as everyone else about the change in connection. I have the original Bose sound dock and the 4th Generation Nano does not work in it.

Need hard drive for docking station

I have the advanced docking station, and need to know which hard drives are compatible with the ultrabay. Also, do I need an adapter for the ultrabay?

this is the sata version you need. Make sure you get the exact part number.
The Advanced Dock use a PATA interface, while the newer thinkpads i.e. T400/500.. R400/R500 etc use a SATA interface drive.

Other colors than white for docking station?

Hello,
A strong point of the Docking station for iPod is that it can be connected to a HiFi-system.
But most of these beautiful Hifi-component-systems are black.
Now , it would be very nice (and would look very sophisticated) to put my Ipod (in its docking) on the same rack as my Hifi-system.
My problem: It is really ugly to put a black iPod in a WHITE docking station (and with WHITE cables) on my open Hifi-rack next to the black components.
The problem would be solved if Apple made their accessories also in black. I think this should be a logical thing to do, since the iPods and iPods Nano are also available in black. And black in black is far more beautiful then black in white....
In the store they told me that black accessories don't exist. I would like to get confirmation of that information. And maybe, ... if the product managers of Apple read this, it might be a helpful suggestion to improve the product.

Airplay is an ammazing and innovative tool that enables me to play music from my Iphone or Ipad to my HI FI Speakers or TV in the living room. I also have two dock stations in different rooms, however, I need to dock my Iphone or Ipod so that I can play music in one of the rooms.
It would be great if there is a small gadget (call it I-Dock) like the apple tv that you can dock into your dockstation to make it airplay compatible. With this I would be able to play play music in each room (or multi-room) where I have a dockstation.
Please let me know if you know of something similar available in the market.

Basically the version with 90 watt adapter would also work, but you would need to use your 135 watt adapter with it to get the maximum speed.
There are the 9 cells normal that you insert in the battery bay, and there is another 9 cells slice (called 27++) that you can attach to the bottom of the laptop to use in conjunction with the normal 9 cells battery.

I can't work out exactly what are you trying to do but you can't use the old docking station as a stand alone device. You need computer to be able to use its ports.

Dock-station for T520, Quad-Core.. (+long life battary)

I've just bought Lenovo ThinkPad T520 (4242RK2), and looking for dock-station, the problem is that everywhere is written "suitable for ... T520 Dual-core..." Why is it so? Does it mean that if I have i7 Quad-core processor, then there is no dock station yet?
and one more question, you have 9-cell battaries, do you have long-life 9-cell? or all of them are long-life? Mybe just tell me which battary do you advice to use with t520 for the longest time to use lapton without charging, and also considering battary live overall.

Need to find a docking station

Hello, I have been trying for days to find an iPod docking station that will rotate to landscape, but it has to have an earphone socket as well. I belive I'm now just going round in circles, I didn't think it would be so difficult to find what I'm looking for but all I can find is one or the other. It really is important it has both rotation and earphone jack.
I would so appreciate any help with this, I hope someone can help.

Just a little up date about car/home and my quest for docking stations for the Sleek and Photo. The DLO Micro dock transmitter for the Zen vision M works just fine with my Zen Sleek Photo. Here is a link to it. Seems DLO does not show it on the DLO ?website.

Yes it'ss a FM modulator but more importantly it also has an audio out plugs so you don?t have to use the head phone jack as it takes the audio out from the base (USB) not the ear plug and charges the player while plugged in. The DLO unit has a very strong FM signal and I have no problems using it driving around WashingtonDC. Hope the FCC doesn?t fine for operating a station. Any way I opened up the unit and was amazed at the amount of components stuffed into this little box.

Elitebook 8530w docking station options

When I search for docking stations online, I find lots of options, but one that specifically mention compatibility with my Elitebook 8530w. That one is $300. Any less expensive options?

As far as I know for docking station usage you don't need any drivers. Just use compatible docking station for your Tecra notebook.
When the notebook is preinstalled with recovery image just connect notebook to Toshiba docking station and all devices connected to docking station will be recognized properly.
Do you already use docking station? If yes which one?
Have you noticed some problems with it?

T400 with docking stations, ThinkPad Advanced Dock and ThinkPad Dock II

I think of buying the ThinkPad T400 with one of these docking stations: ThinkPad Advanced Dock or ThinkPad Dock II.
I have several technical questions and haven't found neither appropriate information, nor the way to get it.
Here are my questions:
1. Do these docking stations support DVI when T400 with integrated (not discrete) graphics is connected?
2. Where can I find a complete list of UltraBay devices supported by each one of these docking stations?

I have a T400 with integrated graphics and recently purchased the Advanced Mini Dock 250410U. The Advanced Dock and Advanced Mini Dock support DVI pass-through. I looked into this before purchasing as well.

FOR SALE - Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet, Docking Station and Keyboard Folio Case

As my daughter is insisting on a laptop, her Thinkpad Tablet and Accessories will have to go....
The tablet is the 16GB WiFi Version (1838-5SG). The Docking Station is the standard one (0A33965), as is the Keyboard Folio Case (which is a Western European keyboard type - ASM P/N 0B33512 FRU P/N 03X6354).
The Tablet has one very tiny scratch on the screen, hardly noticeable, other than that is in perfect condition (the Styuls Pen is only 4 months old). The Docking Station has a slot cut out to enable a mini HDMI Cable to be connected through the facia (to the tablet), and other than that, is in perfect condition. The Folio Keyboard Case is in perfect condition. All cables, etc are included, and the Docking Station power cable has an EU plug (note that if you live in a Country which doesn't have EU Plug sockets, a standard plug can be purchased separately from the adaptor, they normally cost pennies....)
All boxes, packaging, instructions, etc are included, including the receipts for warranty purposes. The tablet and docking station are less than 1 year old, as verified by the receipts.
I can send full info, including photos, etc, if needed.

I just bought a docking station for my iPad so I could plug into a mixing board and record a live show. I was disappointed at the time limitation for the recordings. What is the maximum amount you can record a song into GB for the iPad?

I purchased a docking station for my iPad so that I could record a live recording of my band directly from a mixing board this weekend using GarageBand. Unfortunately, I was unaware of the song length limitations of the iPad version of this program. Basically, was unable to capture more than 15 minutes of the gig. I've read other conversations on this forum and can't really determine the maximum amount of time this application can record. Can anyone tell me how long GarageBand for ipad can record at one single time and how to adjust the settings to achieve this? Also, is anyone aware of any other apps than could be used to record a longer please share. Thanks.

I received an email reply from George, the Founder and CEO of Studiomini, he indicated to me that their app does not have any time limitations in regards to recording like GB does, you are only limited by the amount of free space on your iPad. Fo what it's worth, I think the Alesis IO Dock is an amazing piece of equipment. I would highly recommend purchasing the IO Dock and plugging your mixing board into the dock to capture your rehearsal. Hopefully the feedback I received from Studiomini is accurate and I can capture my entire rehearsal at one time. I hope this feedback helps. One last note, apparently their will be a update soon to view Studiomni in the landscape view on the iPad instead of just the portrait view.
