DVD's read as blank even though they have been written.

The problem is the following: DVD's that I burned using both Tiger and Leopard 10.5 (before 10.5.1) are not being recognized as blank. These discs are NOT blank and they display their contents in other Macs and PC's. When they are inserted in my drive, they show up as blank... I believe this is something that appeared after the 10.5.1 update, but can't be sure.

Are the songs still in the library, or on the hard drive? Are they checked?

If you mean you have several identities in the Office Identities folder then yes. You can delete whatever you don need\want except for your current.
Are you updated to the latest version of Office?
After the restore, navigate to ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/your identity and delete the file called Database. Then rebuild.

You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. This person receiving my email, while on a Mac with Safari is reading their mail through Safari using Horde--our recent discovery. Why they chose to do that in unclear. The last email we sent, however, was miraculously read and received and the attachment was viewed with no problem after we told them our mail was coming from a Mac thriugh Apple Mail. It seems that telling them that our emails were coming from a Mac and using Apple Mail was enough to make them think that perhaps THEY were doing something not quite right. Thank you both, Level 7 and Level 5.

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties, under System on that small window is info about your OS.

Why is my history blank even though I have 'remember history' turned on in the privacy tab in the preferences. I use a mini mac, Mac OS X 10.6 and Firefox 6.0.2

Same problem here. I have Firefox on several machines and OS (XP and Ubuntu [edit: Win 7 too]). However, the bookmarks file is the same in each.
None of the location bars suggest (autocomplete) features work now. I tried deleting the places.sqlite (bookmarks) file and the bar began working again, but all my bookmarks had lost their "[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon favicons]". When I replaced that places.sqlite file with my original (including the favicons) the location bar again ceased working.
I highly doubt that the upgrade to 3.6.11 would corrupt every places.sqlite file I have on multiple computers. That leads me to believe that there is some kind of bug in 3.6.11 that messes up the location bar (especially if your bookmarks contain favicons). Hope some kind of patch can be found.
Edit: Just updated Firefox on Windows 7 with same results. I even backed up the places.sqlite (so it could not be corrupted) file before updating then used the backup file when the location bar failed to work. Even restoring with the backup file didn't work - again, this can not be due to a corruption issue.
Finally, I noticed that one (only one) of the autocomplete bookmarks I had selected prior to updating FF in Ubuntu was actually retained. Is there some other file where autocomplete data is held? I wish I knew why that one bookmark is still able autocomplete while all the others will not (note: this is only in the Ubuntu install all other FF installs (in XP/Win7) bookmarks will not autocomplete.

Trying to copy full albums onto my iphone 5s, some (About 25%) albums have "unknown artist" where the artist should be, even though they have the correct artist names in Itunes on my MBP.
Also some albums dont have artwork on the iphone but it is there on itunes on my MBP.
Is there a fix?

When you fix track names and album art in iTunes the information is written to an XML database and not to the file itself. You can use Doug's scripts to embed meta information to the file.

Thanks. I do not think that the phone is stolen as I have been able to get it unlocked and surely the phone would be repoted stolen and blocked. What I do not ubderstand is that I thought icoud was just somewhere to back up your data instead of saving it to your computer if that is the case why is it stopping the actual hone from loading the previous owner rest it to factory settings before selling it but refused to get it unlocked. The phone would work with a Vodaphne sim as I understand it althought I did not try before i gave it to a shop to unlock. surely they would have knon before unlocking that there was a problem with icloud and that they woyld not be able to do it. I have these movies downloaded on the old computer from digital hd redeemed codes: Fantastic Mr. Fox, Super 98, Thor, Inception, The Hunger Games, and Star Trek Into Darkness. I bought Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl on itunes with money, and that one isn't showing up either. When I search it on itunes to see if I can just re-download it, that isn't an option. I would have to buy it again. Home Sharing isn't what I want because the old computer will not be here forever and it is not connected to wifi.
It's kind of a lot of movies, and I want them on the new computer.

Having put my home-page under "new windows open with home-page" solves the "blank title page problem".
One problem left: "safari" does not startup automatically as set in system preferences, whereas "mail", also set for startup DOES startup

I seem to be having the same problem on my Windows 8 laptop... I am able to update my iPod Nano through iTunes but my iPhone is not recognized as a device in iTunes. Have been able to update my iPad until recently. Is this a bug fix that Apple can help with? I'd rather not uninstall all my Apple programs if I can avoid it...
