DVD's worked yesterday, now they don't!

Hi,
I am trying to watch 24 Season 4 at the moment which i was watching yesterday but i insert the DVD it starts to make the reving noice when its loading, DVD player opens but nothing appears on the desktop.
Since watching it, my MacBook has been left on standby and no one has been able to get to it.
What can i do, if anything to fix this?

HT1423 i am replacing ram in an early 2009 imac. easy - right? but the pulling on the tabs didn't work. i have had the ram sticks out before; but now they don't budge. should i apply more pressure? use a tool to pull harder? will the tabs break off?

the computer has beem working for years after my 1st ram removal; but i may have pushed them back too hard. i did pull firmly - tried pulling up slightly; tried tugging on the sides of the stick; pulling in pulses. the only thing i have not tried is using needle nose plyers with protection on the tab film itself.
have you had the pulling harder ever work? or break the tab?

Resets are not a solution. Have you done any actual trouble shooting? What is the actual symptom you are experiencing? If you are using WiFi have you tried directly connecting it using a wired connection.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

I don't mean to bother everyone with this issue, but usually immediately after plugging my iPhone into my computer it starts to sync and everything. Well now for some reason it doesn't erase the photos from the iPhone like it used to. How do I fix this???

I can't update my apps - now they don't work at all

I don't really use apps on my blackberry but there are two that I use everyday, these are twitter and whatsapp . I don't know if they need updating but they have just stopped working all together, this has happened before but updating them seems to fix it. Now I can't get on to the app world to do this because is says that it needs wifi but I don't have this. Is there any way that I can get onto the app world just using the mobile Internet because this seems like such a silly idea for the people that don't have wifi!

BlackBerry World does not require a WiFi connection to work.
At Options > Device > Application Management, what version of AppWorld do you have installed?
You can delete it there.
Then, Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Ring File Unavailable--Nothing has changed, but now they don't work.

I'm receiving an error message of "Ring File Unavaible". I have ensured it is converted to 8000hz, mono, 8-bit mu law and all of the variables. My Ringlist.xml is good to go. I am accounting for the use of capital letters. The error is not a bad ringlist. The rings worked before, so there is no reason they shouldn't work now. I am restarting the TFTP server everytime I make changes. I deleted everything out of the TFTP File Management and re-uploaded everything in case they were corrupt or anything. I'm at a loss. What else am I missing here?

There are some excellent tips from Jason @ Cisco in this thread;
"After converting the files you will need to upload the files to each CUCM server in your cluster (OS Admin --> TFTP File Managerment --> Upload *directory will be /).
RingList info:
Ringlist.xml is case sensitive
Here is the format for the RingList.xml everything in this file is case sensitive as well.
        Analog Synth 1
        Analog1.raw
        Analog Synth 2
        Analog2.raw
Make sure to upload the RingList.xml (OS Admin --> TFTP File Managerment --> Upload *directory will be /) to all servers in the cluster, and to restart the tftp service on all servers after upload."

Brushes worked ; now they don't-what happened ??

I have a beautiful picture of a Norweigan fjord that I wanted to brush in a bluer sky , at first it worked great, then Aperture froze up, and then my picture was corrupted and now I'm back to trying to brush in some blue sky and it doesn't work anymore ( after many tries). What gives?

Magnets will not download, they worked and I had to reset Firefox and now they don't... what changed or how can I make these work again?

I use Utorrent as my program for many downloads. The other day I reset Firefox due to some issues. Now I when I click on a magnet file it does nothing and says U torrent not available,. I can still dl a torrent file, thus my u torrent is set properly. Something changed in the Firefox reset, what I don't know.
I did check in the tools>>>options that magnets are opened with u torrent...still don't work

What kind of problems did you have that you reset Firefox?
Do you still have the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop that contains the personal data from your previous Firefox profile?
You can try to check the prefs.js file in that folder and use copy and paste to add lines that refer to torrent to the prefs.js file in the current Firefox profile folder.
You may have to copy the mimeTypes.rdf file as well.
If you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some of your data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported and your current profile will be moved to the desktop (Old Firefox Data).
You will lose extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you've made.
It is possible to recover more data from the old profile, but be cautious to avoid carrying over the problem.

LR3 Watermarks - Now they work, now they don't.

I continue to have trouble getting watermarking to work consistently in LR3. I thought maybe it had to do with permissions in certain folders, or maybe a LR setting I don't know about that I need to change. But it just seems strange how it works sometimes and not others. I use the same font for all my watermarks. (Lucidia)
Here is my recent example. I exported 25 images without a watermark. Because of the trouble I have with it in LR, I use the SmugMug WM feature for my galleries there. But I wanted to put 7 of these images on my Face Book page so I really wanted to reduce the size & watermark them first. When I exported these 7 images, LR only put the WM on 2 of the 7 pictures, but not the other 5. I just can't figure out what is going on with this.
Please, can anyone help me figure this out???

This is a bug that crops up from time to time. It seems to be specific to some fonts. The bug has been logged with the developers, but in the meantime there are two workarounds I can offer.
1. Try using a different font for your watermark.
2. Create a graphic of your watermark using the Lucinda font, then use the graphic in your watermark.
