Dvd starts playing and skips the menu's

I have a problem what i have not seen before. When i burned the DVD and play it in a DVD player it starts directly with the footage, it skips the menu's. I have burned the same DVD before, than it was OK, added some more footage, rebuild it again, but no menu's. In DVDSP it works fine in the simulator. Any idea's?

If you look at the Graphical view of your menus and tracks, any first play item will have this circular symbol in the top left corner.
If it hasn't, ctrl click it and select "First Play" from the contextual menu.

Try in DVDSP Prefrences changing your MEnu Encoding settings from Hardware to Software based, or vice vers, depending what you have selected now.
Build again and try !! That used to solve that problem.

I just repaired my sons macbook and I need to test it. Can I start it and skip the setup for internet and account names?

My son's MacBook pro needed a new hard drive. He is out of state for a month.
I want to test it to make sure it has been fixed, but I cannot get past the start screens which require
an owner name, an account name and passwords. It states the account name cannot be changed once
entered. I dont want to enter info that might not be his preferences.
Can I bypass this screen? There is no "skip"nor "continue" button.
It wont let me proceed without an entry. Can I bypass this for now to simple
run through the basic programs?

How did you install the OS and which OS version did you install?
You do need to set up an account. I never enter my address, etc, but usually (when I want to sell a machine with a new install) set up a temporary account "user" with a password of 12345 with as little info as possible (it also helps if it's not connected to the internet at that point because it won't be able to contact Apple's servers. That way you can run it and he can establish another account when is is back.

What I do is in Settings is to change into Plane Mode, thinking that, may be if I do that, somebody that has taking control of it will not be able to download data. Yesterday night, I was awakened by an alarm, whose setting I did not changed. When I looked over, the alarm screen changed to Settings and the Plane Mode changed alone in front of my eyes, from on to off.
I have not observed such a situation during the day. Only when I plug the cable.
I suspected that may be there is no Trojan installed. May be the cable, which is a spare cable, has been modified by a hacker, and it has electronics installed in the connector. But tested with the original cable, and the behavior was the same, as described above.

It could be that both cable are bad. But, anyway, you would not expect any of these manifestations, even with a bad cable. I had bad cable for my 4s, and never saw such a thing!
I contacted by chat the support of Apple. They told me that this behavior could be a software problem and recommended me to do a full recover of my iphone. That meant, putting in at the factory conditions and recup all the data from the backup. I did that, and the behavior did not change. The backup was made with the data of my PC, not icloud. Tomorrow will try with icloud and check if that will work.

I've installed Flip4Mac WMV in Lion and when I try to listen to audio in some sites, it starts playing and after about 0.5 seconds it starts playing again. So, I have the same thing playing with a delay... What is happening and how to fix it?

Use Flash Media Server to stream the files.......set up a timer and have all three of them play at once....and have a button switch the streams depending upon which stream you want to play.....and wallah......
you can also capture the stream.time from the video playing and resume from that point on the other videos as well....havent done this theoretically so I dont know how smooth the transistion between streams will be....but it can be done....
plus u may have to use double buffering techniques to make sure it starts up right away......

Go to SETTINGS - IPOD - and turn off "Shake to Shuffle"...

The computer is picking up the signal from the remote. Go into system preferences - security - general. Click the padlock and go into advanced. Check disable remote control infrared receiver.

Song wont play and skips what should i do?

I downloaded a tune from itunes and wont play and skips. How do i delete it and re import it??

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes (or the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone).
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads with the same problem then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

DVD Start/Stop and Subclips

Question: In my browser I have double clicked a clip, it opens in the viewer, I then go to >View>DVD start/stop and the markers are inserted. Once I go back to the browser and highlight the markers and go to Modify>make subclips, FCP will only convert about 27 or 28 of the markers to subclips, when there is actually over 100 markers. Is there a maxium limit on the number of markers that can be converted or that will appear in the browser list? Hope I am clear.

I've done it both ways, not sure which is easier.
HDV capture creates individual clips (individual media files) based on the detected start/stop and uses a name you specify at the initiation of the capture appending a sequence number to the end of the name for each new clip. S/S detect always uses the name "Segment". Like the Segment clips, HDV clips are in natural order, as you say. I'm guessing that the file system is smart enough to consider the entire number at the end of a name, but sorts character by charcter if the number is in the middle of the name.
Just seems a little short sighted to use different naming conventions for essentially the same function, especially when it causes the files to be out of order.

Why to I have a blue haze on the photos and on the menu bars of apps. I have Intel iMac running OSX 10.7.5. This problem just started. All my photos are corurpted with a blue haze.

Here is another photo with the wierd blue circle in the sky taken with a DSLR. This did not appear until recently and now I see it on all photos and also when I print the photo.

Encore CS6 Skipping the Menu?

I'm using Encore CS6 (Newest Version) I have finished creating my Blue ray Menus and Timelines. Everything seems to be ok. I have even done multiple "check projects" and nothing pops up. After building my project I attempt to play it in my blue ray player. I have two options in the menu. When it plays, it displays the menu for a quick second, then goes on to the first button without me ever selecting anything. Thoughts?

My ipod turns itself on, starts playing, and then dead battery.

My 80g ipod video turns itself on, changes the playlist, then starts playing and kills my battery. the next time i try to use it, its dead. i am constantly recharging it and or picking it up and its playing a different playlist than i was just listening to. i.e. listening to "all" music, then turn it off, couple of minutes pass, i pick it up and its playing the "Rock" playlist. anyone have any suggestions?

Try resetting your ipod. If that dosent work you can restore you ipod.

IPod starts playing album on the SECOND song

hey all,
this isn't a totally consistent problem, but quite frequently, my 4th generation iPod (non-video) will start playing albums at the SECOND song, forcing me to skip back to the first song to hear the album from the beginning. has anyone else had this problem? it has NOT improved with any iPod Updates. any suggestions for a fix? it's not a huge problem, but would be nice to not have to deal with it. thanx a bunch!
