DVD to IPOD -- the easy way (if you have WIN)

I see hundreds of posts on here of people who are having troubles getting their DVD's to their IPODS...and I wonder why.

I am not selling it, I am not getting a bonus from them, I am just saying that I have converted seven of my DVD's using this program, every single one of them have converted 100% perfect...they look great and sound great on the IPOD, and with very high settings (max audio, and beyond max video bit rates) a two hour movie only takes up 1.3GBs of space.

i just downloaded this program, but when i pop in a dvd, it won't open up. do i have to be registered in order for this to work properly?

To answer your other question, grey text and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen would indicate that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists". If you wanted to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you would simply change the update method to "Manually manage songs and Playlists" in the iPod preferences. One other thing to remember about manually updating is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. you can turn of the voice dial but as far as i know you can not turn off the voice controller
if you want to turn of the voice dial just go to setting then to general after that to passcode and turn off the voice dial option

Maybe I'm fool, but how I get the "day view"? I have three options on the top line, an icon that seems a computer (a square and two lines), a magnifying glass to search a especific item and a "plus" to add appointments. The "day view" isn't any more there - that's the point!!! It shouldn't take up space because the emails are saved on email provider server (yahoo.com, rr.com, etc) All of the provider should do this.

To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions

Hi. The two user tips both describe a sequence of steps that should get your library from the point where it threatens to wipe data from your device to where it is syncing normally, while recovering as much information as possible. It may still be necessary to wipe and reload the device but this should only take place once all the data that can be recovered has been recovered.
Doing step 1 of 8 and then complaining things aren't the way you want them to be yet strikes me as premature...
Since you appear to have all your media content, and we are discussing an iPod classic, not an iOS device, the main worries are already taken care of. What's left is ratings, playcounts, playlist membership and checked status. Since your device holds only part of your library at best you could only recover the missing data for the content that is on the device using third party tools.
Recreating the previous checked/unchecked status of every track in your library from where you are now may not be that easy. Syncing with selected playlists has many advantages, one of which would have been that you would have a named playlist that could have been retrieved by 3rd party software if you had used this method.
You haven't explained what caused your problem in the first place, but if you have a Previous iTunes Libraries folder holding old copies of your iTunes database (generated with each iTunes update) then it would be possible to restore the most recent of these and then update the library with any changes in your media folder.
BTW Apple doesn't offer free support for this kind of issue with iTunes.

If you want both iPad to be identical .....
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
Now connect your iPad to your Mac and start iTunes.
When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases.
After it finishes transferring all your apps to the Mac, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
Sync the iPad and eject it when it is complete.
Quit iTunes
Connect the second iPad.
Launch iTunes
Right click on the iPad name on the left side and select - Restore from Backup
Select the backup of the first iPad and let it restore from that backup.
When it finishes restoring - sync with iTunes to transfer all of the apps and any other content that you want onto that iPad
Eject the iPad when you are done.
Check the second iPad and if all of the content did not sync as you wanted - or you want to remove some of the content - connect it again and then choose the content that you want - uncheck what you do not want - and click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.

Adding UDAs to the outline doesn't impact the size of Essbase database.
I've seen cubes with over 70 UDAs. And I think UDAs is the best choice to set load rules.
But for considering of the implication of Dynamic calculations as reporting on UDAs can be slow. Define UDAs on sparse dimensions only.
