DVD will not stop and start in a Menue Mode

Hello I am using DVD Studio Pro 4 for a school project and i am looking for some help with this problem.
The DVD i have created plays and stops when i am watching one of my video tracks, i just can not start the DVD when i am previewing in any menue after i stop it.
I have created my DVD with 16 menus and 2 video tracks. It burns and plays back fine but i can not stop and start the DVD when i am in a menu mode. The DVD will stop and play when i stop the DVD playing video from one of my video tracks but when i am in menu i push stop on my DVD controller and the DVD will not start back up. The DVD will look like it wants to play but it will not play. I have to open the DVD player tray open in order for it to start the DVD again.
The DVD is a NTSC, SD, single layered 2.9GB

After I sync my apple iphone 3g with microsoft outlook 2007 contacts my apps will not load and start

I have an Iphone 3G about 5 years old and tried to sync it for the first time with microsoft outlook 2007 on my laptop and completed the sync for my contacts. After that, when I tried to used any downloaded apps, they will not load and start. I powered off theiphone and restarted it -- no change.
When I touch the app, it fills the screen for a split second as if it wants to start, but nothing happens. This is with all downloaded apps (free or paid for) only. Everything else works fine.

Srvctl on 11.2.0.3 does not stop and start listeners

I recently installed the Grid software under the "grid" user on RH5. Clusterware and ASM run under GRID_HOME, the single instance database runs under ORACLE_HOME. I have created 2 listeners on non-default ports (manually using entried in listener.ora) and then added to srvctl (srvctl add listerner -l LISTENER_XPT -o /app/oracle/product/dhome_1 -p "TCP:1523" -- in ORACLE_HOME.
When stopping the listener using:
oracle@#####>srvctl stop listener -l LISTENER_XPT -- note starting with oracle user in ORACLE_HOME. Below is from "/app/grid/product/11.2.0/grid/log/server_name/agent/ohasd/oraagent_grid/oraagent_grid.log

Why wouldnt the Oracle user not be able to start/stop a resource from ORACLE_HOME ? Any assistance would be helpful

I just removed the listener out of the ORACLE_HOME and added it using srvctl to the GRID_HOME. Now I am able to stop and start.
Still the question, why cant oracle user start an oracle_home managed resource. But the oracle user could start and stop using lsnrctl stop/start

Extracting will not stop and I can not cancel.

Photoshop Elements 11 has been extracting for upwards of 4 days and I can not cancel or stop, the controls are grayed out.
How can I stop it and start over?

DVD will not play and states "supported disk not available" and makes a weird noise and then ejects the dvd

My MacbookPro is only 5 months old and in really good condition. The only problem I am encountering is that when I insert any type of dvd disc, it starts to make this weird grinding noise that goes eeee-eeee, and then does that a couple of times and then the disc ejects on its own. When i try to play it with idvd, it does the same noise thing and then iDvd state "supported disk not available". The dvd does not even read on the computer.

If only five months old it is still under warranty. Take it back.

Just paid for Acrobat XI and it will not activate and start working.

The Acrobat 'help' just puts me into frustrating circles and avoids actually allowing me to contact anyone for assistance. I have paid for a product which will not work even though I have a serial number. Help please?
I get a messaage when i attempt to open a previous pdf file which tells me the serial number is valid but a qualifying product could not be found. I t asks me to choose one - I have no idea what to choose or why it is asking me to choose.

If this is the case the web site download details are very missleading. I
am aware that it is an upgrade, however, I was under the impression it was
an upgrade on the basic adobe acrobat must PC's use to access PDF files.
This is what I originally had on my PC. Now I cannot even access those
files.
If this download I have purchased will not up-grade my current Adobe
Acrobate, I would appreciate a complete refund.
I also want to point out, considering the amount of pc users using adobe
products, the customer service access is the worst I have ever encoutered -
in fact, access to immediate assistance is impossible and links to 'help'
simply open 'frequently asked questions' pages or back to 'log in' pages.
I have never been so frustrated and dissatisfied with such a huge
co-orporation's product and product service.
Seeing as you seem to know what the issue is with my PC, please resolve my
issue either by getting your product to work, or re-funding my money.

Surface Pro 1 will not refresh and is stuck in safe mode

Surface Pro 1, Win 8.1, would not allow refresh, or reset. Did allow entry into Safe Mode one time. Now it is stuck there. Cannot do anything else.
Would like to wipe it out and start over. Please help!!

Could we enter the safe mode?

Try rebooting the iPad by pressing and holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until the screen goes blank and you see the apple logo. It should take about 10-15 seconds to reboot.

HT201263 Last night the screens on my ipad and iphone both started toggling first to my screen saver then to the applie icon. And it will not stop and I cannot get in.

My iPad and iPhone screens suddenly began toggling back and forth between the Home screen and the apple icon. I can't even get into the system to reboot and iTunes won't recognize it. I've heard there is a Device Recovery Mode for over-coming this. But how do you do it?

Encore Ver 2.0 / Chapter will not stop and return to menu.

I have a single timeline and a single menu. On that menu I have four play options, 1. Play All, 2. Chapter 1, 3. Chapter 2, 4. Chapter 3.
If user selects Play All the entire timeline plays. If a user selects a chapter, the timeline starts playing at that chapter but continues to play to the end of the timeline. I set the end action to Specify Link to the menu. How does Encore determine when a chapter ends ? To me that is the issue, where is the chapters stop mark.

Why not make life much simpler, and use Chapter Playlists for the individual chapters?
Simply set up 4 Chapter Playlists. Put one chapter on each one.
Set the end action to go back to the button that called it.
Much better.....

Imported picture from clipart on excel and now there is a colorful spinning image that will not stop and I have not saved my work

I need the wheel to stop spinning and get back to being able to do my work. With all of my previous data, because I did not "save" most of the data.

We have all made that mistake....
It sounds as though you are going to have to Force Quit Excel, and anything you haven't saved will have to be redone.
You might want to check to make sure that you have Auto Recover checked, and also have it set for the number of minutes you feel comfortable with. Under Excel>Preferences>Save

Scan to Application will not stop and cannot close

I recently scanned a phot to my mac and then imported to iphoto .
I scanned using a HP deskjet 3050.
The scan to application appears to still be running in the background as a moving cog appears in the top right hand menu bar next to network preferences, sync and time machine icons. When I right click on the cog it brings up stop scan to application but this has no effect.
Any ideas on how to quit.
