  • PQ DVD to ipod Video Converter

hi i have downloaded a free version of PQ DVD to iPod video converter and it seems ok and i was wanted to know if anyone else had it so that i could use the registry code to save me money. I would greatly appreciate this code
    thanks

Sounds to me like you're asking for someone else's purchased registration code.
Using one code for 2 copies of software is illegal.
    Purchase your own code.

  • How to import dvds to ipod video

try this. you could have found the same thing by typing your subject into the search instead of a post.
you'll get about 2.5 hrs of video play if you manage your battery well.

  • Dvd ripping to put home dvds onto ipod video

ok so i was told to use "decrypter" and so i went to google and typed it in and it came up with a few results
    the first one was:
    DVD Decrypter
so i click on that and this is what it says:
"This software is no longer available, this page is stored for archival puposes only.
On 24th of November, 2005, Macrovision Europe contacted AfterDawn.com, notifying us that they have acquired full rights to the DVD Decrypter software and have changed its licensing terms. Effective immediately, they have decided to withdraw all distribution rights from all third party companies, including AfterDawn.com. Thus, distributing DVD Decrypter is now as illegal as it would be to distribute cracked copies of Windows operating system or pirated copies of games."
ok so first off what does my trying to put dvds on my ipod have to do with pirated movies and games?
    anyways
    the second result was:
    DVD Fab Decrypter
so i click on that and this is what it says:
"This software is no longer available, this page is stored for archival puposes only.
On 1st of January, 2006, a new copyright legislation came into force in Finland that made it illegal to distribute tools that allow circumvention of technical copy protections. The legislation was approved by Finnish parliament and was based on European Union Copyright Directive, a law that each EU member state has to implement to their national legislations"
So basically how the heck do i get dvds on my ipod using decrypter if it's now illegal to use it?

  • DVDs into iPOD Video Library

I have several family movies in DVDs. They are menu driven. The "menus" are an IFO file extension. The "video" file is VOB extension. (there are some files with BUP extensions, probably related to the menus)
Anyway I could import them into my iPOD library ?
    THANKS

    How about this:
I decrypted several music videos from a DVD and converted them with Videora, all played on my ipod, then I decrypted a 1 1/2 movie and converted it using the EXACT same settings, added it to itunes (which it played) transfered it to ipod (which it took) tried it play it, got a few seconds of blank screen then back to the menu. Then I tried converting in a lower setting, still wont play on ipod. Am I doing something wrong? Why is it so tempermental!?!?!

  • Widescreen dvd to ipod video

I ripped the widescreen dvd to itune, then transferred to ipod. The motion picture looks like its been stretch longer. I tried widescreen on and off in ipod setting. I was wondering what is the resolution for widescreen? like 640x360? or is there another way? thanks

That's pretty much up to the converter program, which all have different options for the output format. What you're looking for is an option to maintain the aspect ratio of the source, yet fit it to a 320x240 window. If you want to make it full screen (for 320x240) you still want it to maintain the correct aspect ratio, but in this case crop off the sides.

  • How to convert video and dvd for iPod

    1. Download, install and run PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter. It can convert from DVD, Tivo, DivX, MPEG, WMV, AVI, RealMedia and many more to iPod Video.
(PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter Download)
    2. Click "Open ..." button and choose a video file or DVD disc to open. Wait for the movie to start playing in the preview window.
    3. Based on the aspect ration of the video source PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter will choose the best resolution for the output iPod video. Nevertheless you can select a resolution of your choice to stretch/squash the picture. Alternatively, you can choose a Crop Mode to cut unimportant parts of the video (like top/bottom black bars or subtitles).
You can also adjust the desired quality to reduce the output size of the movie.
In the preview window you will see what the resulting movie will look like.
When you have set the desired settings simple click on the "Record it" button to convert the video/DVD.
Depending on the settings a 60 minutes video is converted on average for 15 minutes.
    4. When the process finishes you can test the recorded video file on your PC using QuickTime to see if it works well.
Then launch iTunes, add the recorded file into the library and update iPod (under iTunes' File menu). And have a nice time!
    Additional Settings
    1. Video Settings
    Video Frame Rate
Known as Frame Per Second (FPS). It refers to the number of pictures displayed in 1 second in order to form continuous motions. The default frame rate is 15 fps. You may choose 24fps to get more continuos motions.
When selecting higher fps, increase the movie quality and size a little. This is because more frames need some amount of additional motion data to be stored.
    Brightness Level
Increase the level to make video appear brighter on your iPod screen. The default is level 0 (No brightness change from the original video).
    2. Audio Options
    Audio Quality
There are 6 audio quality modes to choose: 32kbps Mono, 48kbps Mono, 48Kbps Stereo, 64Kbps Stereo, 96Kbps Stereo, 128Kbps Stereo.
Audio Bitrate (in Kbits per second)
Audio bitrate refers to how many data storage is allocated to store audio signals. The higher audio
    bitrate, the better audio quality.
    Audio Volume
You can change output audio volume in "Output Settings" dialog. The default volume level is 5 (original volume).
    Stereo to Mono
When the output audio is set to Mono, you can choose which stereo channel (of input source) to be copied into the Mono channel (output). It is useful for some video sources (e.g. VCD) which use the left, right channels for different languages or for karaoke.
    3. DVD subtitle(subpicture), language
It is recommended to use the native DVD menu in the preview panel to set subtitle(subpicture) and language. (Click "DVD menu" button on the right to show native DVD menu in the preview panel) You may also change the subtitle(subpicture), language in the program's Options menu, but there are some DVDs that require the change must be made in the native DVD menu instead of the program's menu.

  • Best DVD to iPod Converter

I just got a New iPod video and I was looking for some advice for the best DVD to iPod Converter. The two programs that I have been looking at are
1.) Super DVD to iPod Converter and
2.) PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter
Both of them run around $30 and boast that they are the fastest. Anyone have any input?

Well, I'll disagree. I've used quite a few and to me, PQ DVD is by far the best. It records all DVD's, not just ones that aren't encrypted. All of them are slow, pretty much 1:1 when doing a movie. Meaning, if your video is a hour long, it's going to take an hour to do it. I just start it before I go to bed. I don't really know why support is needed- it is an extremely simple program to use. Personally, the how long have they been around thing doesn't mean a hill of beans to me. It works, it's simple, and affordable.

  • Dvd to ipod converter

im looking for a good dvd to ipod video converter, but free also anybody have any good websites that will do the job really good and really fast please tell,im dying to see my dvds in my ipod.THANK YOU

    Frodo,
currently, Handbrake is only available for a Mac computer. I am not aware of free software that always converts a DVD well on a Windows machine. You'll probably have to purchase cucusoft or another software.
