DVDSP 4.1.2 - Assets not refreshing or are corrupt when changed

I've been frustrated with this time and again. I burn a test project built in DVDSP then make a change to either the main "feature" or to a menu video in FCP. I export it using compressor, using the same name (overwriting the old version). When I open DVDSP I'm asked if I want to refresh assets since some have changed. I click on refresh. When I simulate the project there is a blank (or green) screen - no video. When I try to delete the asset I can't - says it's in use. I can try re-importing the asset but same results. The only way I've found around this is to delete the "Feature", delete the menu used by the asset then delete the asset. Essentially, start over again.
So, what's up here? Am I missing something?

The parsed files are the problem (at least they were for me)
In the same directory as where your asset is, you should find a PAR folder. Trash the parsing file that matches the name of your asset. When you relaunch the DSP project, it will reparse the assets and everything should be honky dory. It does seem like the asset does not reparse well when updated/relinked etc.
I was getting blank tracks after recompressing (keeping the original file name) and this fixed it/

Oracle have a tool for precompiling JSP's it's called ojspc
You can then turn JSP compilation off on the server.

On several different computers, documents coming from a scanner will not open, they are corrupt..?

The files say they are corrupt and can not be opened.

SOMETIMES they can be opened in the downloads folder. They can be opened in MAC's preview app.

Tax Percentage NOT Refresh for MWST Condition when Tax Code Change

Hi All,
I have maintained MWST condition on Purchase Order with a default value P1 (10%).
During data entry, when I attempted to overwrite the tax code to P0 (0%), under Condition tab the tax percentage still showing 10% instead of refresh the rate according to the tax code.
Is this a config error or system behaviour? Are there any SAP Note that I can apply to fix the problem?
Applied SAP Note 655335 - ME22 ME22n tax at service level - Doesn't seem to fix the problem.

Use
Customizing
Create a new condition type, ZWST, in Customizing for Materials Management (MM), by choosing Purchasing ® Conditions ® Define Price Determination Process ® Define Condition Types ® Define Condition Type.
To do so, copy condition type MWST and make the following settings:
Description: VAT Amount
Condition Class: D (Tax)
Calculation Type: A (Percentage)

The Jtree is not refreshing with new values when mouse click on the node

I am creating a tree from a vector .The values in the vector is coming from the JTable data after satisfing the some condition. But the data in the Jtable is changing time to time so the data in the vector is also changing .
But the problem is that when first I create a tree with that data the tree is created but for the next time I click on the tree node the tree is not changing i.e. it is not created with the new values that is stored in the vector at that time .what to do .Please help
I am using DefaultMutableTreeNode for creating the tree .In starting I have created one root and the one it's child .Now the next subtree of the root child have to be created by this vector data. this subtree should be updated according to the values in the vecter.

Well, you can either use a custom TreeModel that tracks your Vector, or you can use a DefaultTreeModel and call model.reload(node) to refresh the tree below the specified node.

ITunes does not refresh the CD device when insterting a new CD for importin

After importing a CD I eject the CD, with either the iTunes eject button or my CD drive, upon placing a new CD in the drive iTunes does not recognize it..showing the old CD name and files...
I then have to close iTunes and reload it... it now sees the new CD and I can import it...
HELP...

i have the exact same problem.
sometimes it will recoginize that theres a cd
but most of the time it wont
and i've tried it with a lot of different cd's.
help in this matter would be incredibly appreciated

Automatic refresh of photo order when changing photo titles in iPhoto 9.6

I've just moved from an older version of iPhoto to 9.6.
In the previous version, when you changed the title of a photo (within an event), the sort order of the photos was automatically and immediately updated. In 9.6 it isn't - I have to do View - Sort Photos then select another sort criteria (e.g. date), then do this again for title, to get the photo order to refresh.
Does anyone know if I am I stuck with this new (retrograde) behaviour, or if there's a way to get iPhoto 9.6 to automatically refresh the photo order?
Otherwise, is there a keyboard shortcut for refreshing the photo order, or for changing the view - sort photos criteria?

It will resort if you leave the Event (click All Events button) and then go back. Not a good solution but quicker IMO than using the View ➙ Sort menu method.

Unnecessary Report refresh on the dashboard when changing the dashboard prompts

Hello All
I have two reports on a dashboard with two dashboard prompts for example Report 1) Year, State, Count; Filter: Year is prompted 2) Year, State, Count; FIlter: State is prompted. On the dashboard we have two reports Report1) and Report 2) with Year and State dashboard prompts.
The issue is when you change year prompt both the reports gets refreshed even though nothing changes on report 2 but it still dissapears and appears as it is refreshing and the same happens with report 1 when i change the state prompt it refreshes that report.
Please letme know how i can limit the dashboard prompt to refresh only the report where it is prompted.

are you talking about the database table caching? if so we are using OLAP cubes and I am not sure if caching is disabled. Is my issue related to caching? also another updated if I have just one dashboard prompt for example just year only report 1 refreshes and the report 2 doesn't disappear. But when I add state dashboard prompt, which ever prompt I change state or year both reports refreshes. The problem is when I add more than one prompt on the dashboard all the reports refreshes when the dashboard prompt selection changes. Any ideas.

User ID will not update in DropDown menu when changed on website

I have a User ID for my CitiCard account that I cannot change in FireFox. In addition to changing the User ID I have also followed a process in CitiCard to 'Clear a User ID' however, when I follow it the old User ID still remains populated.
I can 'work around' this glitch by simply choosing 'Use a different ID' from the drop down menu. It's not an obstacle to accessing the account - just a 'minor inconvenience' - added step, if you will!
When using FireFox the User ID box in the CitiCard account remains populated with my previous User ID and when I try to use my new - or old password with it - it is rejected. So as I previously indicated I simply have to select 'Use a different ID' and enter the 'new' User ID, enter my 'new' password and I'm in.
Additionally when I go into Explorer all of the changes have occurred correctly.

Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop down list:
#Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
#Highlight an entry in the drop down list
#Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

My contacts are not showing up in my contact area on my new phone after backing up to ICloud Macbook but are visible in Blue when writing an SMS? Can anyone help?

Most photos do not email or are empty when dragged to folder

After I edit my photos in iphoto and email them to myself, usually large quantities, (50plus) at one time, only 2 actually emailed. Although my email said that 50 were successfully sent. I do large quantites at a time because I have shops on Etsy that I post them to. When this didn't work, I tried just dragging them directly from iphoto to folder on desktop, again, only two of the 50 were actually there, all the rest said - The file “DSCN8413.JPG” could not be opened because it is empty. How can it be empyt when it is there in iphoto, helppp!!!

iPhoto may have lost the connection between your original photo image files and the edited versions and thumbnails. Try to rebuild your iPhoto Library - see Old Toad's post on how to do it:

Sub-folders in my edutrack email account are not visible - they are visible when I view through Safari

I have been using Firefox to access my Outlook edumail account to check my work emails. Recently I have been unable to see the sub-folders that I have created in my Inbox.
If I access my Outlook Edumail account via Safari I can see these sub folders. I can't work out how to resolve this problem

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.

To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Not every commen are included when the recipient prints the document i send him. Why?

When i email an pdf document, where i have added textboxes and drawings, sometimes when the documents are printed, the textboxes and drawings are not on paper pages after printing. It is proberly an problem with the printerdriver at the recipients end, but since the recipients IT skills sometimes are very poor, it is not an possibility to update the priinterdrivers. How can i solve that when i create the PDF document?

Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

Since upgrading to 3.6.15 some settings are not saved, and the alerts when changing between encrypted content are totally out of synch to the actually occurence

The settings dialog box cuts off the bottom ofthe box content as it seems to be having problems with font rendering.
Settings such as "Show download window" and "Ask me where to save" apparently revert to defaults rather than saving the settings.
The encrypted content alerts are out of synch. They claim to be going from encrypted to non-encrypted when neither page is encrypted. Or warn of non-encrypted content on an encrypted page when the whole page is unencrypted.
3.6.14 had none of these problems.

Update to 3.6.16 has fixed this problem.

ARD screen not refreshing

I'm running ARD 2.2, and OS 10.4.6 on my laptop and a G5. When I try to log into the G5, it brings the screen up fine, but will not refresh. So, for every change, click, drag or whatever, I have to close the window and relaunch the session. I have no problems on any other machine. Any suggestions on what I might have to change on the G5 to be have the screens refresh automatically (btw, Refresh Screen is greyed out also)

Maybe you can answer another one while we're at it. Before I knew the problem was on the G5, I tried deleting ARD (and all its parts) from my other machine - a g4 tower, also running 10.4.6.
I reinstalled it and I updated it, but each time I try to launch it, it tries to reinstall itself again. Obviously, it's missing something, but I don't know what it could be. Any suggestions?
